You guys are actually turning to weather-beaten Palestinians as it seems. That picture is apt. Even Metuh is now wailing on Lai's attack, that last uppercut went very deep.
This is what you've degenerated to ? Where it is now celebrated when a sitting power wants to remove any trace of opposition and you think this is good for any democracy where the rule of law, checks and balances as well as accountability should be of utmost importance? Boy! Smh.....

A Nigerian politician work for free? why would you always be deceived by Naija politicians always? upon all they've shown us we still back them up. poverty go kill your children children. mumu grin

I think many of you do not really appreciate the times we are in this country. Many others do and when Buhari shelved the so called Ivory league technocrats for these ones people think he doesn't know what he's doing. He will not go to world bank to pick someone who will ask for dollars as salaries at a time when civil servants are struggling to get their pay. He chose the ones who are ready to swim and sink with him and will be more dedicated than some ego driven Wall Street juggernauts who think the world economic solutions reside in their brain only.

What a smart way to beg for a Ministerial porfolio. Pmb having revealed that (the Nigeria economy can only pay for 20/21ministers) and that not all the 36 ministerial nominees will end up as Ministers. Now this scramble to be among the 'lucky ones' and we hear them say things like 'we can work without pay' and some gullible posters are hailing and singing their praises! (politicians deceiving people since BC)
Dont these praise singers know that average Nigerian politicians will be willing to sell their properties and also forfeit their salaries just to be made a Minister considering the reward thereafter.
They should stop deceiving gullible slowspokes.

At least these are better than one of GEJ's cabinet member, doyin okupe who was blabbering that he can't be poor, he's never being poor as if anybody asked him such questions. To be nominated a minister designate is more than the salary sef, ride on baba.

Problem is am not given to conspiracy theories. As at today, the tribunals has passed many judgments and many are in favour of the PDP. Delta state is a key state and we know that since 1999 PDP has continued to rig all the elections to the frustration of the opposition yet the tribunal judgment went their way since the opposition could not prove it.
Tell yourself the truth Truckpusher, where elections in Rivers and Akwa Ibom free and fair? Is Rivers the only state where elections have been annulled based on widespread irregularities since democracy in Nigeria? Why this hue and cry when they know in their hearts what actually took place? I am not speaking as an outsider on Rivers electoral matters. I was in Rivers months into the elections, in Omoku and Bonny so you won't tell me I can't sit in the north and judge what I don't know. We saw it all!
In my conclusion if the elections in the two states are judged to be free and fair and free of intimidation and violence then we can as well ask for election tribunals to close shop forever in Nigeria and let the strongest party carry the day in all elections.

You are not wrong in your assertion, this is Nigeria and politicians have continued to rape us. I have personally lost hope on the country just like you. But as a human being with a brain and given our present situation I don't have a choice but to believe what they are saying now and that will not stop me from shifting my position if I see anything contrary. It will not take anything from me after all we gave Jonathan our benefit of doubts initially right from when Turai, Ibori and Aandoaka caged him in Aso Rock till he employed the 40 thieves that took us here.

Let the deception stop with you and the change start with as I personally can see 4 and not 2 as you have just portrayed. Besides if 1 or 2 persons in position of authority in a country, state, local govt, community, organisation, establishment or forum says anything, is it not usually seen and portrayed as coming from all and sundry concerned with such group? We just like and cherish criticism all in the name of right of being entittled to one's opinion

Ask them if the "working without salaries" involve negligence of other allowances as well cos what I've observed is that ;hotel allowance, transport, newspapers allowance and others tends to be far far higher than d so called salary, so let them tell us if they'll reject everything

We hear but seriously there is no way this is people, haven't they got families to cater for
Non of them have net value of less than N200m while many are much higher than that. A minister's salary is about N1m monthly, that is nothing to most of them, its because Nigerians are used to the notion that there many ways of enriching yourself as minister. Letss take Ibe Kachikwu for e.g, as exxonmobil vice chairman he would be on about N6-9m monthly as well as so many other perks. The politician's among them will even be richer, so yes they can afford to work for free easily.

When you leave this country for a while and later hear how Nigerians speak the English language, you'll realize that we don't really know how to. You want to hear another one? "genevieve STORMS cool fm and show's of her braids" as if na war. "The army SWOOPS down on BH". The alarming thing is it is repetitive. You see the same adjectives over and over again as if the English language does not have other ways to describe things. It is all so obvious from posts and topics on Nairaland. I blame the education system in Nigeria. I remember my primary and secondary school days when Mr Kofi would slap the sweat off your face for using terrible language to describe situations. Nigeria was much better when we had more ghanian teachers. They have a better command of the English language.
