Hello eke40seven, I want to cancel an appointment I made with the German embassy. How do I go about it? Are they rules that apply? Help please! Thank you.
Sorry, i just saw your message now. Write a letter of withdrawal to the embassy. Write that you want to withdraw your application and mention the reasons.
Let the format be in PDF and send to them, probably as a reply to the email you got from the embassy for the appointment.

Oh!! Modified....you have not gone for your interview....simply send them a mail that you won't make it and all will be well.

Hi Nairalanders. I really wanna say I'm impressed with the way we've been helping ourselves here. I'm sure you've touched many lives and I'm sure many will come back here to share my testimony later by God's grace. I just started following this Trend, I never knew such a helping section like this is here. Please I will appreciate anyone that knows much about what it takes be admitted for Masters in Mathematics in Germany, have loved to study in Germany since I was small. Please I'm a graduate of mathematics and I graduated with 3.3 is there a hope of getting admission for Masters in any school in Germany where the cost of living is low and please how will I start the application process from the beginning. Please I'm very anonymous to all this, I don't even know what it takes. Please I need a well detailed response. Thanks in anticipation for anyone's reply.

Please I need some response from the gurus here. Thanks

Give people time to answer your question no need spamming the thread with it. While you wait help yourself with this https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/en/ That is your genesis of German school search.

Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by GottSeiDank: 11:38am On Oct 31, 2015
Ok. You're new to this thread. I will suggest you read the previous posts. Part one and two, it will do you well. No one can give you a very detailed info. But all the questions bothering you had be answered. Just take the pain and read previous posts.

But a quick one: First thing first is that you get a school and know their requirements and deadline. Check Daad.de and Study-in.de will be of good help.
With the look of things, it seems you will be applying for winter semester, so start gathering your documents and prepare to apply. The school of your interest will specify the required documents and you will need to certify them at the consulate or high court.
Also note that to study in Germany you will need to deposit €8040 in your Deutsche Bank account, also book a student visa.............................
I think your concern now should be getting your preferred school and applying............
But pls, pls, pls read previous posts.
Goodluck grin

Let me come in with my Research, Knowledge and experience..

Unibremen DOES not admit with a third class. He can try hochschule(s) or pedagogische and Alot would be involved. He needs to write a superb SOP stating what went wrong during his academics programme. coupled with that, he needs to have LOTS of work experience in his field of study with strong emphasis on what he was able to achieve during these years..

Knowing fully well that German education is extremely extensive and research oriented, these documentations will give them a clue of your stern interest. From your part, make sure you have all the requirements, attain German language proficiency. you may even attempt "Start deutsch A1" (if possible A2), attain a good band score in IELTS (i.e 7.0). Like I said earlier, your SOP which includes motivations and why you should be admitted for that course with such grade should be put into consideration. remember, alot of students who are fully qualified would also apply. you need that Niche to stun them.

If you think you can bear the challenges that come with the course, then give it a try.

Moreso, If you have the CASH, EGO, KUDI... You can apply to private institutions but their fees are damn crazy and you may end up asking questions. If your field is in Information technology, I can help you with 2 or 3 schools that would give you admission but your pocket needs to be heavy grin grin. You will be required to pay a particular sum of money before your admission letter drop and this is not refundable.. But it counts as part of your school fees. I don't know more about Management courses. Give it a try, Pray to God and all will be well. I know of two guys here who had third class, had Bsc in Law or something and Got admitted into a Msc program in a private institution.

Secondly, I'll advice you to go through the Bsc route. Why? this is because with your first degree, getting an admission will be a piece of cake. after getting admitted, Ensure you read well and make good grades. approach your course coordinator explaining to him about applying for a higher semester. your current grade will be Examined coupled with your first degree. after thorough evaluation, you may find yourself in either 3rd, 4th or 5th semester. but some courses will be spilled for you to pass them. It may look daunting but never mind. Even M.sc students in Germany ain't finding it easy, trust me. For someone coming with a low grade, it means you'll need to forsake hustling, social activities, then you Read, read, read, read, and read like mad in other to catch up with your colleagues in class. cos even a 2.1 student from Nigeria reads like crazy to meet up with his fellow students. Presentations and Seminar are still waiting for you to defend. wink wink

Lastly My Brother, Are You willing to go through all these stress?? If yes, you could give M.sc a shot..

Think/Ponder about this then make your decision.

Remember, Woeful performance in school will kick you outta Germany cos the Auslanderbehorde MAY not extend your residency.. undecided and that one na big GOBE.

Pray to God for directions, and all will be well with you. I wish you all the best in your endeavors.

I smell some visa testimonies this week. grin wink

Finally I can say to EKE.....Welcome to Germany where success is ours for the taking!!!

Congratulations EKE!!! I told myself that I will only wait till you testify before I say any other thing about my experience thus far.

Emmanuel, God bless you beyond measure, lines are going to continually fall in pleasant places for you and you shall receive divine favor every step of the way. You helped me like you knew me from your village compound. I would call you with numerous questions and you would calmly answer or give me links that could help me further. It is this attitude of yours that has helped hundreds of Nigerians into German universities and economy via the "Pay it Forward" model. Even I (small me for that matter o) can take credit for helping others that succeeded and that fills me with joy that more people are making it out here

Once again, I congratulate you and welcome you to Germany.

I arrived Kiel via Istanbul and Hamburg on the 3rd of October. Due to my long stopover at Istanbul, I quickly latched on to Obiwann's advice and went to Starbucks for a hot coffee, snacks (paid for these as the airline guys were quite busy so i skipped asking for the meal ticket but by all means try and ask if you are in the area) and the very important free wifi. MTN works in Istanbul (best option in registering for the free wifi to get the code by sms) and Germany. My experience has been great here because the level of organization and planning in this domain is simply amazing. Aibee01 and I keep joking that we will get hit by a car if we go back to Nigeria and cross roads the way we do here because once the traffic light directs to go, we don't look left or right.

So many of us have been blessed to be part of this forum and yet there are a lot more people with no knowledge of this forum or even the information available to us. My thinking is that we should all try and spread the word, encourage others and avail them of the information at our disposal, help others with genuine interest in studying in Germany with step by step details of how to achieve this dream, assist with whatever documents or weblinks we have to help make their lives and the entire process easier.

I totally understand the no spoonfeeding ideology but i think sometimes, it could be better to simply provide the information if it is easily retrievable than to have a newbie search the entire thread(s) for answers. Sometimes, it may be necessary to turn back the hands of time and start from the beginning albeit updated.

A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. The room only ends up being brighter!

This motto has helped so many other nationalities quickly become a stronger and more unified unit here.e.g Ghana, Cameroun, India, Pakistan, Korea and Japan to mention a few. Older citizens of these countries help with information and sometimes sponsor letters amongst other things. They in no way expect payback other than for those helped to succeed and in turn help others. I do hope we can continue to grow stronger and look beyond our cultural differences, financial or intellectual capacities to build a stronger unit which in turn will bring the much deserved development to our dear country Nigeria.

kiss kiss kiss

Dolpaz....I see you grin

That's a good idea. IELTS is a better option.
Good luck with your preparation.

Please I'm in Akwa Ibom State, Uyo to be precise and I am learning the language; I am also interested in the books that you used at Goethe-Institut. I will be so excited to have it. I am expecting your response.

Hello all, pls i need a little clarification & or advise. Is it acceptable to send a scanned copy of my completed & signed DB form to a friend in Germany who will in turn print & send it by post? Can one still say the document is still 'in the original' as indicated in the email they (db) sent to me requesting i resubmit another form by courier/post. I've done interview since Sept 1st & till date still waiting for bank account details.

Please I need response asap as I've already sent another to a friend email to print & send for me but I'm not sure if it'll be accepted or not.

I'm sorry I have no answer to this..as I have no experience with the db but I did this with one of the schools I applied for and they didn't complain

I just went to the embassy at Abuja today for the db account, I was surprised it was returned to me (only with official stamps on it) to send to the bank in Germany. . I thought with the 20€ the embassy would handle that. Pls is this normal?

Thanks for your response. Well to the best of my understanding, the embassy is supposed to send it on your behalf just like they've been doing in Lagos. However, i wouldn't know if that's Abuja process or it's an entire new process of opening the account. My candid advice is that you send it by courier (dhl if possible for easy tracking) & don't ever use registered nipost mail to avoid future challenges like am having now (i should be out of it very soon by God's grace).

Meanwhile, i need others contributions to my previous post please.
