What would become of our investment and property if eventually Nigeria gets dissoluted? I woudn't say I don't believe in the Biafran project but don't you think we would thrive better in Nigeria? As much as I know, we are peripatetic and seem to blend well into our hosts' culture. This is the fact. We have many Igbo- Yoruba speakers than Yoruba- Igbo speakers. The same is applicable to every other ethnicities in Nigeria We have established ourselves across the length and breadth of Nigeria. The number of Hausa- Yoruba investment in South East is infinitesimal when compared to the glut of Igbo investment scattered in Other geo-political zones in Nigeria. Then the question now is: WHAT WILL BECOME OF OUR INVESTMENT IF WE FINALLY GET BIAFRA? |

Chinachriss: No amount of Igbo investment in Nigeria is worth the freedom of us Igbos. What is the point of your investment if you are a slave? What have we Igbos gained in Nigeria? In 55 years, all we got is economic and political subjugation. Will investments bring back the millions that Nigeria killed in the war? You don't have sovereignty, you don't have political power, you don't have freedom and you are talking about investment. Investment gbakwa oku! 17 Likes |

And do you think this our indomie-salad generation is ready to pick up arms? Hahaha, laughing in Hongkong. I'm not ready to die for any Biafran agitation lest my auspicious future be truncated. I pray UN comes into this and everything goes smoothly without bloodbath. I lost many relatives during the war. My dad and uncle although late almost were conscripted into Biafran army despite being tender. Thank God for my aunt who sold her choiced wrappers and got them freed for a ransome. Baba! get ready to fight. As for me, no way. 4 Likes |

Op, if you want to remain in Nigeria it should be out of LOVE not out of FEAR. with what you are saying.... I suggest we should amalgamate all the African countries and the rest of the world, because Igbos have their businesses and investment there. 7 Likes |

xrisdon:My brother, I raised an important question that needs intelligent answers but all I'm seeing above are asinine rejoinders, replete with biases. At least, our interest is protected in those countries as everything is spelt out. I am afraid of Nigeria, they might restrict us from coming to their country or probably eject every Igbo from their land. Rem the abandoned property saga in Rivers state after the Nigerian civil war. I need someone brilliant to explicate the relations between seceeded countries and their former countries. 2 Likes |

IlekeHD:Our buildings and landed properties we acquired from you guys. Have you been to Sabon Gari in Kano? Majority of the houses there are owned by Igbos especially Anambra folks. El-rufia once said that Igbos had 75% of the landed property in FCT. I don't want to drag this far. |

Chinachriss: Who is El-Rufai and how did he come about his stats? You guys will just believe anything no? They'll say anything to make igbos think that with Biafra, investments will be left behind. Like I said, there's nothing scattered. I wonder how you guys fail fill the millionaire/billionaire lists if you truly believe the crap being said. Petty trading is not an investment. 2 Likes 1 Share |

For every single Yoruba or Hausa owned bungalow in the SE, Igbos own 1000 storey buildings in the SW and north. However, in their rare 'wisdom', some disgruntled elements believe the best thing for Igbos to do in present day Nigeria is to break away even through non-peaceful means. This lends credence to what I have always said that it is only the empty vessels and never-do-wells that are clamouring for this secession, especially the Nnamdi Kanu styled violent and tribal hatred based secession. 4 Likes |
