Senator Florence Ita-Giwa has refuted the allegation by retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Christopher Omeben, that her late husband Dele Giwa was a womaniser. The former presidential special adviser disclosed this in a statement she issued in Calabar on Monday, noting that Dele Giwa was career-driven and too pre-occupied with his profession to womanise. According to her, "I was in Calabar when my mother called to break the sad news and I had to travel down to Lagos. I got the name of the hospital and was redirected to the LUTH mortuary where I met the late Gani Fawehinmi who said, ‘Madam, they have killed your husband. He later instructed the mortuary attendant to open his body, insisting that “a wife is always a wife, and Dele’s wife is here.” She further said she would continue to defend her late husband's legacy.

Things you can't take away from professional journalists are drinking and womanizing. Even women journalists may be exempted from the later but surely not the former.

When I mean drinking, I mean to stupor so also womanizing.

So madam, your defense is lame and will even be laughed at by his colleaguescheesycheesy

They got divorced in the early 1980s, but they were still friends. They actually kissed themselves in court after the divorce was granted.
