I dont like hurling invectives on people and dont force me to do so.
They fought for our freedom by deluding us into a war that gulped millions of our lives? During the war, they flew their children abroad while we that didn't have names perished. Taaa! zuzupu!
this is what am talking about, the black/slave mentality.
You'll never see any in the person/people who liberated you from internal slavery.

I wondered where your grand parents were When your kins and kiths were being murderd in thounsands in the north.
Cos if they experienced the mayem in north that time you wouldn't be spewing trash by now.

What would become of our investment and property if eventually Nigeria gets dissoluted?

I woudn't say I don't believe in the Biafran project but don't you think we would thrive better in Nigeria? As much as I know, we are peripatetic and seem to blend well into our hosts' culture. This is the fact. We have many Igbo- Yoruba speakers than Yoruba- Igbo speakers. The same is applicable to every other ethnicities in Nigeria

We have established ourselves across the length and breadth of Nigeria. The number of Hausa- Yoruba investment in South East is infinitesimal when compared to the glut of Igbo investment scattered in Other geo-political zones in Nigeria.

Then the question now is:
WHAT WILL BECOME OF OUR INVESTMENT IF WE FINALLY GET BIAFRA?
Is like you're a selfish human being. We are talking about our future and that of our children and all you could think of, is investment and property? Anyway, you can remain or even nationalize in liegeria when biafra comes.

This quest lacks comprehensive credibility. What is our Igbo leaders saying?

Igbo leaders? Igbos don't have leaders. The only leader the Igbos ever had was Ojukwu. What do you mean that the quest lacks credibility? On what credibility did Lugard create Nigeria?

I do understand that you're not against biafra. I also do understand that you want to be sure of a well comprehensive plan drawn out which can guarantee the establishment of biafra. If I get you clear too, its like you don't think any extra sacrifice should be done to achieve our goal outside going to the UN? And it includes our investments and properties outside our sphere of influence. I'll give you elaborate answers as best as I can.
Firstly, the quest for liberation from all forms of oppression especially slavery took a long time to get to fruition. Hundreds of thousands if not millions died to achieve that feat. Properties were lost and investments destroyed. Today, many nations and groups are enjoying the sacrifices done by their forebears. Also, many ethnic groups went into extinction when they lost out in the race. Its a risky game but one that needs persistence and whether you like it or not sacrifices must be made.
Now let me go straight to the point. From 1967-1970 we fought for our survival. It was a war of survival with biafra being a target. We were hunted like rabbits from every hole we inhabited outside the eastern region. That time all your investments didn't matter anymore. You know the story so I'll jump this one.
The war itself started when Gowon failed to implement the agreements he had and signed with Ojukwu. The mode at which the Nigerian side fought doesn't tell you they cared about the lives of our people. They were just interested in winning the war. It means your properties till date don't matter to them. Genocide was recorded against them and the abandoned property saga still remains. Banks seized many people's money and they were given 20 pounds each. Your money didn't matter too. Fast forward to the recent history. The numerous ethno-religious crisis that engulfs the northern region has seen to the death of thousands of our people and destruction of hundreds of millions of their properties yet no one was brought to book or the victims compensated. Your property is just a match stick away from such(God forbid) within Nigeria. When will our properties be properly protected in Nigeria? When will our lives be protected against marauders? Our region has been abandoned since after the war but our resources are being tapped to develop other areas. No government ignores a densely populated area but Nigeria does that. Its all deliberate and well calculated. Today many of us have left our region to other places because of that. Wherever we've gone to we are treated anyhow as though we are no more citizens but it lusts confirms that we are not citizens. This is why Biafra is the solution. Its the best short we've got to enlarge our coast and maximize our potentials. Today, UN is there to arbitrate but they must get sufficient reasons why they should intervene. Sacrifices must be made by humans and that is us. Where ever our people are they must take inventory of their properties and video coverage also for future cases whilst bearing in mind it might be lost. We must continue with our demands until we are granted the opportunity for a referendum.

Let some security guys be killed too so they know that they have something to lose too. Persistence brings victory. Its universally known. Biafra shall emerge soon meanwhile death to this Nigeria.

Yeah, it lacks credibility cos our leaders are mute on Biafran issue. let them tell PMB eyeball to eyeball what they want, then we will know that osetigo.
But will they do that? After all, they are being settled by the federal govt at the end of the month.

I'm not ready to die for any Biafran agitation lest my auspicious future be truncated. I pray UN comes into this and everything goes smoothly without bloodbath. I lost many relatives during the war. My dad and uncle although late almost were conscripted into Biafran army despite being tender. Thank God for my aunt who sold her choiced wrappers and got them freed for a ransome.

Baba! get ready to fight. As for me, no way.

The question should be how do we (igbos) increase the rate of our investment in igboland? Whether biafra or not should majority of our investment be found in those places you mentioned?... Anyway most people have now realised how skewed nigerian system of things is and are investing heavily in igboland so join the great wagon now invest your most valuable assets (especially factories) in igboland

I took a tore along Afikpo-okigwe road i was amaze at what i saw.
At the boundary between abia/ ebonyi (onuaku uturu) i saw a huge construction site, there were beautiful houses been erected (with some already completed), large industrial estate (so many industries on site including a power station), water project for the whole community,a brand new police station(state of the art), well equiped hospital and generally well plan town. Do you what marveled me the most?
Well All these projects were done by an individual with little or no support from the govt.
>>>Then accrossed the bother into ebonyi state, @ mile 2 about 2km from onuaku another huge construction site was seen, but this time it was agro-allied industries that will create job for the people. There were also very quality (new) road networks into the interior villages until you meet enugu-port harcourt express road at ogwu in enugu state(though these roads are federal projects, it wouldn't have been done if not because of the agro-allied industries around there areas) ... Further down into other towns i saw more and more of similar investment with basic amenities for the people all done by our igbo brothers.
>>>I told you all this in hope that you will use your tongue and count your teeth<<< whether Biafra or no Biafra INVEST IN IGBOLAND

. Do you know that it is one nigeria policy that is strangulating the east economically. And it is pple like you that makes the yorrobers and hausas to believe that all that matters to igboman is money and their business, hence, they have no respect for you, because they know that you can not leave money to fight for your right. I thank God nowaday there are fews of your type among the igbos that still have this demonic mentality of valueing money and property above everything. You better repent b/4 it will too late.

Please let us always leave a space for dissent.

Op you have all the right in the world not to support Biafra.

But my brother it's the future we are talking about here. Is our future and that of our children and children children guaranteed in a country like Nigeria where some hausa fulanis live a total animal life. Killing and maiming at will while yorubas play the ostrich and minority tribes bought with a sliver gold.

To buttress my point Op, do you know that boko haram would have had foot soldiers from all tribes in Nigeria if they are actually killing Nigerian leaders and those in government?

Do you know that people will take to the streets to celebrate if the Senate building is nuked with all the senators inside?

In my heart of heart I want Biafra even if it will cost blood so long it came at the end of the war.

And the only thing that would have ended the Biafran agitation is the restructuring of the Nigerian system which of course the Northerners will never agree to. As a restructured Nigeria would offer all sections of the country a better future and opportunities
