Pls mamas my baby has eczema, we saw the pediatrician and was asked to use hydrocortisone cream, the rash is gone now but her skin is still very dry and scaly. What baby moisturizing creams can I use? I'm currently using aveeno baby eczema therapy and I'm not seeing any sig improvement. |

Beryl15: Hydrocortisone is a steriod. It may have thinned her skin a bit. Try adding oil (olive oil perhaps) to her bath water daily then using olive or Coconut oil as her moisturizer. A lot of baby lotions and creams are not as emollient as possible. Add the olive oil to her bathwater, then Aveeno cream followed by more olive oil on the worst scaly parts. It sounds like overkill but should work. Avoid Baby oil, it's usually just mineral oil that does nothing and worsen a situation. What soap are you using, why not try Aveeno creamy wash as well? So, Aveeno creamy wash+olive oil in bathwater, followed by Aveeno Eczema lotion+ a layer of olive oil on top. Don't worry, she won't sweat, olive oil will be absorbed into her skin and has many lovely healing properties (but don't use baby oil, that will sit on the surface of her skin, make her greasy and probably make things worse). Pls house, my baby will be 8m in 2days. He started having green poop on Saturday , initially Tot it's d iron in his cereal. But later I noticed he poops during / immediately after breastfeedn. Nothing has changed in my diet. Could it be my sugar is too much? How soon can baby zinc tabs be repeated after initial course? He used in aug? Tx |

sexybrown004: Depending on how moderate your budget is irish potato/sweet potato(or even yam)chips and barbecued chicken and/or fish is an option. You can also serve hotdogs- bread and sausage to the children. Spaghetti and meat balls too would be nice if its an intimate gathering, you know for parlor party kinda gathering. Moin moin, gizzards & dodo, salads-fruit and vegetable, pepper soup can also be accompaniments on the menu. Then if your crowd are the indigenous type you can just arrange some pounded yam and vegetable soup. The key issue here is your budget. But you can do all these in moderate quantity... 4 Likes |

sexybrown004: You can never go wrong with jollof rice at a Nigerian party... what other option apart from rice? You can serve swallow, it will even cost more, are you planning to order pastries? That will also kill your budget... If you can give the catering to anyone who uses firewood & not gas, you will see your guests testify. @babythug Very brilliant idea, me sef likey a lot but she put the budget caveat..... |
