Senator Ben Murray Bruce today took to twitter to express sadness over the "Killing" by APC senators of a motion to compel President Buhari to commence the Payment of 5000 naira to unemployed young Nigerians as promised by the APC during the 2015  presidential campaign

The APC senators are cold blooded bast@rds. They couldn't even hide their shame, they were so brazen, even when they were the ones who proposed this ivory tower promise in the first place. They should have, at least, offered a national apology for their lies, before giving the reasons for their failure to keep to their promise. But instead, chose to play politics, by pushing a motion to begin an investigation into the accounts of the defunct SURE-P programme. APC, God will punish every last one of you.

Senator Bruce, if other senators were a bit like you, Nigeria would have experience that change mantra by now.
Its a pity in your case that a drop of water cannot make a mighty ocean!

It is very obvious these PDP senators are only out to cause the house and the present administration unnecessary troubles. How on earth is the 5k campaign promise for unemployed youths now the most pressing issue to thrash out with the govt? The govt keeps lamenting about how the past administration, spearheaded by his majesty, the 'DADDY OF DEMONCRAZY', looted and emptied the treasury thereby leading to serious economic instabilities and the next thing is 5k for unemployed youths Smh

All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has promised to provide allowances to discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members for Twelve (12) months while in the skills and entrepreneurial development programmes, if elected in 2015. There is also the pledge to provide One Meal a day for all Primary school pupils.

Buhari/Osibanjo administration also vow to create a Social Welfare Program of at least Five Thousand Naira (N5000) that will cater for the 25 million poorest and most vulnerable citizens upon the demonstration of children’s enrolment in school and evidence of immunisation to help promote family stability.

“As a nation and the Sub Saharan Africa’s leading energy producer, we had in the past squandered the opportunity to build functional infrastructure to better the lives of the average Nigerian. We can no longer afford this luxury of inactivity. We must revive our public and private sectors in order to provide functional services and secure the good of the individual Nigerian and his or her family,” Buhari said in a document that reveals some of his plans for 2015.

Guy are you living in the moon. Is a pity have not travelled out of the shores of Nigeria,in other lands,the unemployed and less privilege are given stipence monthly to support them.

The comptroller-general of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (retd), has ordered the immediate removal of rice from import restriction list and the re-introduction of import duty payment at land borders.

N5,000 for unemployed youths,is crucial to the stability of our economy. We will not stop reminding them of their campaigns promises. We are still expecting the 3 slices of bread and an egg promised every Nigerian child in school every day. APC don't promise our children without fulfilling it ,Nigerian children may not forgive you.

In other words... Go get a job... N5k was just a campaign promise,

No offence here too but why call in an Igbo race into it?

And this is the problem with most Nigerians,the NTA he gave to us then and what we have now are clearly different,the quality has been dropping since he left.


We are always quick to attack the harbinger of a message without considering how salient the message is,one of APC's manifestoes was the 5000 naira they promised the unemployed youth,elections are over and they being taken to task on redeeming their promise and all you contributed was that funny statement.

We must learn to hold our politicians accountable for their electoral promises if not they will continue to ride rough shod over us.

Even if Nigeria is so rich and can comfortably pay the amount, it will be difficult. How would the government know those who are eligible. In fact bribery and extortion will increase
