SpaceTour:there are slums in enugu, abakpa is the tickest slum in Enugu and it has more roads than the whole of obio akpor local govt. You can be more comfortable to move out in enugu after a heavy rainfall than in port Harcourt. 2 Likes |

You can barely see a six lane road in port Harcourt (only some section of aba road, along garrison and waterline), roads in port Harcourt are as tiny as hell and yet you tell me port Harcourt has more infrastructure, please tell that to those Yoruba boys that barely travel. 1 Like |

FreeGlobe:I visit PH regularly from Lagos and I must tell you each time am there,I always get disappointed. It's so disorganized at least we know Lagos is rugged but it's still well organized. I think the Rivers State Govt is not using the Large FG allocation and IGR to enforce strict laws on the people like Lagos that's why it's so disorganized. 2 Likes 1 Share |

menabadoo:I agree with you on these but I be Yoruba boy and I dey travel well. PH is over hyped. Most of the roads is a two lane road no drainage and gutter. Few traffic light on the roads and the best place they ve got is GRA. Benin City is better than PH. No internal roads in most places except the ones done by NDDC and the ones in GRA. I think it is one of the most corrupt state in Nigeria. 2 Likes 1 Share |

FreeGlobe: I am tired of having this same arguments allover. We have thrased this issue before now..Enugu will literally break with the pressure from the population of Port Harcourt. Live in PH during thr festive period when most people have travelled home for xmas and you'll definitely appreciate the infrastructures and liveabilty of PH. We are trying to maintain "sanity" in PH given the fact that every January we have to deal with a new wave of bushmen from Igboland who flock down to PH with their Uncles, cousins, Aunts and relations to seek a livelihood in the oil city. Those village people though not limited to only Igboland will now contribute to an already bad situation and pile extra pressure on us both in terms of sanitation, security, social welfare, strain on social amenities etc..They contribute little to the advancement of the city, but we have not much option but to manage them as they're our countrymen. Menabadoo should count the number of Enugu indigenes contributing to PHs problems..we desrve him commendation for accommodating his brothers that ran away from ecomonic stagnation in Enugu and not wayward and flawed cimparison. |

HopeAtHand: It is not everything that I argue nowadays. Once you know the truth just leave the liars to keep lying to themselves. No city in the East is as large as Port Harcourt in both landmass and population nor is there any city with rich inhabitants like Port Harcourt. Port Harcourt as a large city definitely has slums scattered across many areas but still is beautiful with better roads than every other city in the East. Enugu is more layed back but still very much like Aba and Onitsha in many areas. Independence Layout, GRA and Trans Ekulu are the pictures we mostly see and it is a particular area reserved as highbrow from 1940s. |

HopeAtHand: Population pressure should not be an excuse. If Nigeria were a well managed country, higher population should mean more IGR for the city. |
