The present govt is making a mockery of our judicial process.
I see some people applauding it until the same tactics is used on one of their own. Today it is Dasuki tomorrow it maybe Tinubu.

How is this making a mockery of our judicial process?

the courts ordered Dasuki's passport to be returned to him. That has been done. the courts did not give dasuki immunity.

Let him go and clear his name first.

I am waiting for comments from the Diezani apologists who claim that Buhari has a Northern agenda and is only prosecuting people from the South. Certainly Dasuki is not from Niger-Delta, South East or South South, or is he?

DSS clearly can smell a dead rat in Dasuki's cupboard and have asked to take a look. If he's sure he's clean, he should go before the committee, defend himself, and then go on his 'medical tourism'.

The statement coming from the dss doesn't make sense...... If you have additional charges against him them seek the leave of the court instead of turning to gate men at his residents
Leave of court to serve him by substituted service? Each alleged crime is a count in court it will be a count charge.

Dude the guy had is passport and was going to leave the country. All he has to do was honor the comity invitation and testify, why fight a fight you are never gonna win?
Was that not supposed to be part of the arguements the court listened to from both counsels before granting Dasuki's prayer.
Dude the guy approached the court with a prayer and it was granted him, if DSS feels otherwise, they should approach the same court.

And why did'nt DSS besiege Amaechi's home for not honoring the judicial commission of inquiry in Rivers state.

This is serious. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE STATEMENT THAY A CLEAR CONSCIENCE FEARS NO ACUSSATION.
anyway, waiting for his refutal otherwise he should go clear his name.
When you consider the role he played in the 6 weeks postponement of the election, you can't but agree that is is pure witch hunting but as i said, if he is guilty he should face the music. Even if the cleansing affects more of the opposition and GEJ core men, they are still Nigerians. Though i pray that there should be no partiality/partisan sentiments in the fight against corruption.

I pity you. Na until dem rope you in b4 you know sey a clear conscience should fear accusation and thread carefully.

And someone ignorantly said on the thread that he won't return if allowed to travel. Which Dasuki? The Sokoto Prince? Leave all his family and investments and run away? That sounds absurd, even to a foolish person.

Stop pretending to know what you're saying.

Ahmed Dasuki, Sambos blood brother has been on exile in Ghana for close to ten years now because of a financial scandal WITHIN the family, you have no idea the extent of this man's connections. I would know this as I'm a close friend of the family.

This gave me an adrenaline rush.
It's obvious Dasuki if ever allowed to step out of these shores wud not bother coming back.
It's d impunity and cluelessness of the past era that wud make someone like dasuki refuse to go answer for his part in the $2b arms deal.
The DSS has done well to put d ball back in Dasuki's court. Now let him explain why he has refused to appear b4 d investigation commission
I think same reason why Amaechi refused to appear before Rivers State judicial panel.

Thank you.

The same id0ts getting Dasuki's back even though he is being indicted for multiple charges of malfeasance running into hundreds of billions of Naira, are the same people wailing for N5,000 handouts.

You've cleared one hurdle doesn't translate to clearing all cases . . . an average corrupt Nigerian public office holder can be comfortably indicted in as many as 50 cases of illegalities on any 'slow day'.

Let him clear himself . . . I'm glad at least he is a 'northerner'. . . no playing the tribal/religious card.

P.S. Let Dasuki tell us who BH financiers are, and who tried to blow up Buhari -- he knows, he knows!

wetin concern dss with arms investigation committee.dasuki is not bound by any law to appear before the committee.nd if the committee demands his presence they should obtain a court order not restricting a mans freedom of movement as enshrined in the constitution. by the way he was the one who arrested buhari in 1897

This is clearly impunity on the part of DSS. Dasuki was to proceeded overseas for medical check up hence the court granted the release of his passport Why would the DSS not allow him return from his trip before attacking him again. If Buhari send this goat of a DSS boss a messenger message can't he use his sense at least for once.?

Like music to the ears. The point here is that Dasuki was deliberately evading the arms purchase committee and likely wanted to use the court order to escape justice.

This siege is completely unconnected with the arms possession charge and the recent court order, according to the authorities.

Kudos DSS.

one million likes for YOU. That's the main issue here. And someone tells me the Daura President is not autocratic. He's on a revenge mission to destroy Dasuki if GEJ is untouchable. Why must DSS wait until court cleared Dasuki's foreign trip before realizing he still has a case to answer before a useless committee ? Daura Security Service (DSS) is a disservice to our nation.

This statement by DSS is a response to alleged siege of residence of Ex- NSA Sambo Dasuki by security operative today. PRNigeria
DSS PRESS RELEASE
1. The attention of the Department of State Services (DSS) has been brought to the report making rounds that its operatives illegally blocked the residence of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo DASUKI (Col/Rtd), in violation of a subsisting court order granting him a relief to travel oversea for medical services. This is to say the least that such report is not only unfounded and malicious but aimed at tarnishing the good image of the Service.
2. It may be recalled that SAMBO was initially arrested and charged to court for unlawful possession of firearms and money laundering, for which reason his international passport was seized and on the order of the court, returned to the registrar for custody. What has however brought the seeming standoff between SAMBO and the Service, despite the court-ordered release of his international passport on 4th November, 2015, is his refusal to appear before a Committee undertaking the investigation of an entirely different case.
3. The public may wish to note that the government set up the Committee to investigate procurement processes relating to a two billion dollar ($2billion) arms transaction by the last administration, under which SAMBO was the NSA. It was on this premise that he was invited by the Committee to shed more light on his involvement in the deal. It, therefore, remains surprising and shocking that SAMBO has refused to honour invitations of the Committee but instead resorts to grandstanding and subtle blackmail of the Service. His refusal to appear before the Committee has left the Service with no option than to adopt legal means to ensure his attendance.
4. Therefore, without doubt, SAMBO is pulling all strings available to him to evade justice and put the Service in bad light. The simple fact is that the DSS is not persecuting him. Nigerians are therefore enjoined to disregard the impression being created by him. This Service wishes to re-emphasise its commitment to the rule of law and strict adherence to democratic ideals. However, any person or group, no matter how highly placed, that may wish to test the will of the present democratic dispensation, will definitely be checked through the legal provisions of the law.

Majority of leaders dat are vindictive and biased do not end well.If you are fighting corruption their should not be any scared cow.

Oputa panel was set up by a past government, Buhari then was invited, he refused to go. What then is the fuss about Dasuki not appearing before a committee? It is prerogative whether to appear or not. If he is to follow the precedence laid by the President, he wouldn't go. Those who live in glass house, they say don't throw stones. Let the man be. Buhari led government has no moral standing to make him appear before their committee. So sad but the truth.
