As for the Title of the thread, it is very misleading:

1.) the man was not jailed. Remand and Jail are two different things. @Op is likely an illiterate self-servicer.

2.) He was remanded in prison "PENDING" the perfection of his bail conditions.

All he need do is get his Lawyer to stand for him and perfect the Bail-bonds.... and out he goes till the next hearing.

If l were that man, l will have charged that lady with "Stealing" from my house because l will arrange that money or Gold chain is missing.
In fact, l will accuse her of asking me to sleep with her. "Do me, l do you, God nor vex".
If she agrees that she came into my house when l slapped her, then she has to explain how she was not responsible for what went missing.

Attack is always the best form of defence.
