So many people are wasting their lives away in the townships when they could be far better back in their hometowns and villages. If only people could tell themselves the truth, many of them just need to leave those places where they live suffering claiming to be in Lagos, Abuja, etc where they cannot even feed themselves. 7 Likes 1 Share |

With all these happening, someone would decide to embezzel money meant for public welfare, and stash it in so many accounts outside d country, and wickedly buy so many structures they can't live in...so painful..if we are serious abt corruption all our politicians convicted of one crime of the other should pay dearly and serve time due to them. 2 Likes |

Isaacmacdon:Same experience I had, a lady approached me too to help her with anything because she can't even find a job after graduation and she was just recuperating from an Okada accident. I had to send her some money. When she received the alert, if you see the way she was thanking me as if something special happened. Even telling her friends to call and thank me. This is to tell you how people are suffering. God help our nation. 3 Likes |

All what they know is shopright, shopleft, and shopcenter. The amazing thing is that most of what shop has no much difference from the local shops. Even those clamoring for change, go to their houses, they import almost everything in their homes. So who is fooling who. 1 Like |

op that is why I get angry with all these partisans claiming to have power and those that don't want to surrender in defeat. elections have come and gone, the system needs to move forward, our economy is crumbling and people are not concerned about their future, all they care about is who sit there to steal and go away without probe, people are so stuwpid that I begin to wonder if they have a life or function with renewable energy from solar or alternative supply. we have a country with too many natural resources and we can't even manage 25% of it and we are crying for the government to do something. we have ourselves to blame for all that is happening to us. politicians stole 13 billion pounds, 6 billion dollars and we are okay with the fact that the person or persons like this are living amongst us and we chose to suffer and smile or even go further to celebrate them as successful people. we need to rise above indiscipline that's all I can say, we need a revolution to put a stop to these menace troubling our existence as blessed people. so painful. 3 Likes |

This is an interesting topic. The example shows that where there is suffering, there is also relief. The woman and her boy experienced more pleasure and joy in eating the rice than most of us who can afford three fancy meals a day when they sit down to eat them. 1 Like |

My own little story..i went with my guys to buy some stuffs for our project in the market.. i was hungry,so i bought biscuit and fanta dey shark, one little girl ran and held me by my pants,i was just wandering why she held me,when my friends told me its cos of what i was holding.initially i didnt want to give it away cos i was hungry&i never chop for that morning and i didnt hav anything on me except my tfare, but when i saw hunger and hope on the little kids eyes,i had to think 2wice. Its so disheartening reading online of youths of this country thinking 5k is nothing..just cos you can afford it with ease&you come from a comfortable family doesnt mean others can.people who sell gala at motor parks only make N300 per carton upon the competition..We should all change our mindsets on the way we view our society..some of us may not need the 5K,but millions of Nigerians need it..if you doubt it,go to parks and markets and see things for yourself Bottom line:people are suffering in this country..just cos you think you hav it all doesnt mean its going well for others..Lets all try as much as possible to help others in need 6 Likes |

I work in a multinational company as an engineer and when I give out money 'indiscriminately' (as some fellow engineers) call it to our contract staff, my mind goes back to those days when my I would go for days without food and even when reprieve comes our way, its in form of garri we children would share equally using spoons to measure because it wouldn't be enough to satisfy our hunger. Thank God I had a mum who wouldn't give up and did everything to send her children to school...all four children are rich now. I try to buy my stuffs from indigent shops and never price unnecessarily cos I know the lil extra wouldnt mean much to me but would make a family sleep better. 15 Likes |
