God God God........are u people not ashamed
Illiterates evrywhere...
Which country has God came down to help.
Name d successful countries tday
America...uk... Austrialia..canada.. UAE
Let it interest all of u dat majority of their populace are atheists... Yet they are succesful... The secret is not religion but institution building.... So keep the lies and propaganda going for the thiefing ruling class... No light..no job..no food... No road.. No housing...no healthcare.. Useless country

God is not the problem .... neither is it religion!
God id God and will always be God, irrespective of how anyone feels about Him.
God does not need we humans, it is we that need God.
Jesus said "as you help that person next to you, you are helping me, (Jesus)!
So, there is God in each one of us.

The problem with we Nigerians is that we are very "Religious" .... but we lack the spirit of God.

In other words, "We practice the RITUALS of RELIGION"..... (Going to Church/Mosque regularly, building big house of worship, dancing and singing and even catching some "fake spirit" at times! grin

But where we fail is that "We do not practice Religion itself"...
Being Truthful, Honest, caring about others, Diligent with others, Steadfast with our duties/work, Love God in our hearts (as opposed to our mouth), "Fair" in our dealings, Speaking the truth always, condemning evil always, e.t.c.

So, in the sight of God, we Nigerians are worse than the Atheist!... because the Atheist at least, is truthful about their intentions....
...... While we pretend to love God but our hearts are very far from him, in reality.

Until we change direction, all the G.O's, the cathedrals, the "Camps", the Jets, the Tithes and offerings, ...CANNOT SAVE US.

If there's something that gives me joy in life, it's when I help in in my little way. Givers absolutely never lack.Life is beautiful when we help those around us . Sometimes I always winder what it will be like to have millions in my account, I may not even be happy, There remains a void in my heart when I see people living in abject poverty.

I have a true story to tell.
I happened to meet a young girl if about 12 while in school. I came home from lectures to see her moving around my hostel. I asked why she was there and she told me she needed to see one of my hostel mates who obviously is not around. From the disappointment on her face, I asked her if everything was fine. She narrated to me a story about how hungry her family was, and the fact that her mom sent her out to borrow money from my mate. I asked her to take me to her mother. It was an uncompleted building and I didn't know how somebody can live in that kind of place with grasses everywhere. I feared for snake bites as I approached the mother.I gave her quite a fairly good sum and told her not to return it . The way she thanked me sent a deep knife down my spine.I wish she never did, it made it even unbearable because it broke my heart even more As I was living the compound in a haste for fear of snakes, a iron rod dragged my leg, almost ripping off the last toe on my left feet. This woman and her daughter didn't know what to do, at some point, I noticed they were begin to feel bad, I had to hide the deep pains I was feeling. The blood trailed me back to the hostel. It was a deep wound and so I had to visit the hospital to take injections and dressings of course. For over a month, I limped. But I have no regrets. When i look at the scar on my last toe, I remember that sometimes we may get in trouble for trying to help somebody, but we must also remember that it's pays to have a beautiful mind, it soothes the soul.

Thank you for sharing this experience. It actually answered a concern I presented to God yesterday on my way to work.

My own problem is even on the cost of university these days.
Lots of girls do all sorts of things to train themselves. To feed and pay fees is a big problem.
I know of one that sleeps with a neighbour just to eat. I wonder how many more she sleeps with to pay her exorbitant school fees. I liked her cos she is so humble and down to earth. I was happy when she came to me for internship. I tried all I could to get her internship and to God be the glory, she didn't just get internship, she got a job. Now she doesn't have any reason not to graduate as the pay is more than enough to take her through. If I catch her again jumping trousers.......

Early to bed he said well that ain't me
I gotta spend some time with my family

Left to it's own device may becomes june
But children grow up all too soon

So love your neighbor as yourself
Don't use money to measure wealth
Trust in God but lock your door
Buy low sell high and slow dance more

She bore his children and she graced his life
Hand in hand and side by side

It's very easy to spot the less privileged ones. They are around. You can pick a family of five and give them something through your pastors or religious bodies.

Nigeria is not a place you can just buy things and give the needy or homeless people anyhow
It wont be long before they accuse you of using their fortune for money ritual
Not that most people are not ready to help the needy but Nigeria is complicated
Imagine giving out 50naira to the homeless man under the bridge but he later went ahead to sell your 50naira at the rate of 1000naira to those who need it for money ritual to use your fortune
This is one of the reasons i dont help expecially homeless Yorubas
i prefer to help hausas or funlanis

that's not the point.

what i was trying to say is nigerians don't get good value for the millions they spend @shoprite. 90% of the products in shoprite are from 1 pound store or 1 dollar store in the west.

why waste money on such products when they can spend a fraction of that cash in the local stores? a product that isn't more than N300 in value is about N5,000 in shoprite. nigerians need deliverance.

Wooow

Thank God I stood by the various decisions I have made in life despite peer pressures.
For your information,

I don't do shoprite or any big shopping mall.
I don't have permanent fashion designers.
Sometimes, I trek and jettison transport.
I don't do big saloon for my hair do.

For all these, I patronise locals. Call me names, I won't blink. I always feel joy within when I interact with the less privilege and also do the little help I can do.
God Loves a cheerful giver.

This just changed my view about things.
Thanks a million

Do u no what those fulani's do wiv money. They wash the money inside in bowl wiv water. And then give the bowl of water to whoever needs it. Sit down there make trouser dey wear u. The only thing u wrote that made sense is about unsolicited help. Even solicited help. It's too risky. It's very risky to help o. Especially unknown people.

Only God can save us in Nigeria where you know your right and you cannot claim it, where thieves and wicked people have been praised. There is an issue in osun state where government prepared salary schedule for workers and asked the workers to sign for unpaid salary. Some behave as if there is no God, God is watching. Federal Government action on osun state government is expecting by the people on bail-out money

Of Poverty; I will advise thus:
PUt your MIND OFF IT!!! To fear POVERTY is to accomplish it...in Yourself.... The same thing that happens with WORRY!!!!
THOSE who accept the STATUS of POVERTY sustains it as a Status in themselves...
It is better to look back in your LIFE & SAY: So, I WAS this POOR.....than to look at yourself now & SAY: I AM POOR!!!!! So POOR!!!!
I STAND BE CORRECTED THOUGH!!!!
BUT, THAT'S WHAT I THINK!!!!
