Electoral Act That Nullifies The Taraba Tribunal Judgement by likata: 4:31pm On Nov 07, 2015 |
am forced to say that if care is not taken, the end of Nigeria is near.section 140(2) clearly states that the second should not be declared winnner but a rerun. we are really in a bigger problem BTW...we already have a template of how this case should be handled of which Apc 'hero' Amaechi was a beneficiary.

likata: When Mike tyson and Eba were names of people in voters register conducted by Iwu, where were you? Why didn't you come out and quote Electoral Law. People always like to make mockery of themselves. |

Dont mind the OP,even during GEJ tenure many PDP governors were sent packing let alone now that PDP has been burried You need to be at the hearing and see the evidence tender by both party before you can apply the constitution Not when you came from nowhere and start vomiting chicken shiit on a faceless forum 1 Like |

If i remember very well S140(2) was used to amend the victory of Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, where it agreed that never will any person be declared winner in an election in which he has not fully participated. What the Electoral Act is stating is you must participate in all the processes, did the Pdp hold a primary whether in abuja or in the moon, and was INEC official present, did the pdp candidate filled form CF001 to 3, was his paper displayed in the notice board of INEC for the public to verify? was he cleared by INEC, AND was his name on the ballot? Why this stupid nonsense going on, Nigerians are doing thier utmost to reduce TENSION in the land, but the elite and those who believe THAT THEY ARE MASTER OF JOINT DELIBERATION are doing the opposite. Let NIGERIANS know that we are moving SLOWLY and STEADILY FROM FRYING PAN to FIRE. 1 Like |

likata:if there is a rerun then pdp will produce no candidate, abi u no code |
Re: Electoral Act That Nullifies The Taraba Tribunal Judgement by dustmalik(m): 8:54pm On Nov 07, 2015 |
Gr8amechi:Exactly. The time of holding primaries have passed, and PDP can't just endorse any candidate anymore. Only those who were qualified to run in the last elections would run. Again, PDP candidate wasn't qualified to run in the first place, given his emergence. So, no matter how you look at it, PDP would still be ineligible. What PDP should have done was to endorse Ishiaku Darius. There was no need for primaries. That would have taken care of this whole brouhaha. But they had to take their primaries down to Abuja, which was their undoing. |
