A story that i wanna tell you. My friends and i went for a presentation to demonstrate something to some college students through ppt. The topic has to do with African Culture. At first, we were shy and a little bit nervous but when they asked my friend to present first, he was very happy while me and other niggas were sitting at the back observing things.

Unfortunately at a point, we couldn't hear what one of our niggas were saying. Then i said to my friend who was presenting the stuff, could you speak up please for we cannot hear you clearly.

My nigga said in Yoruba, i will lose my accent if i speak a little louder. We started laughing and those students asked why we were laughing? The other nigga said, maybe the mic is not working properly. Hahahahaha.

Went home with my niggas and he was like; he almost disgraced himself.

Do money order, go to walmart or post office or any big store jst tell that that u want to do money order with your card, they will do it for you and give you a check tell them your doing it for yourself then you cash it there too, thats how i did mine and the service charge its .0.42 dollars in walmart n 1.75 in usps so its beta you go with the money for that so that you can be able to withdraw exactly 300. Yes, get admission from the new school, travel to US, email the old school to transfer your sevis records that your choice of course was offered at the new school with funding and it would be wise to at with the new school.

Thanks Slimmy05... So does it mean i should appear at the new school if given admission without even showing up at the old choice? Also, do i need to explain what transpired between me and my first choice school to the new school in a bid to get admitted? Cos someone was telling me that to avoid troble at the point of entry it would be wise if i do a semester in the old school which i dont even want to consider for security reasons.
This is my story in brief. I applied for Msc in school A and was given admission , paid sevis fees and got i20 but unfortunately the embassy put my case on administrative processing for over 10 months. Just recently i was granted my visa based on the choice made about 10 months back. However, within this period i have had a change of mind on the school, hence the decision to want to switch while keeping my head abive trouboe waters.

I think i would lose the formal Nigerian English accent. But would retain my broken English and yoruba.
Because this discrimination sometimes is much. i would be busting my hass in class, getting work done, to submit on the due date. While the others (mostly americans) would come up to class lazy saying they dint do shet.. Ask the prof to shift the date for them. and not grudgingly the prof will. I'd be like; na wa oh, after i don suffer do this thing dem come shift date.... But if i go do like them luck fit no dey my side.....

Sometimes i regret going to school in naija sha.
Most nigerians that are coming over (undergraduates especially, masters students fit don pass level) would have problems in writing essay (punctuations, essay structure, run on sentences, grammar error (i'm facing most of this right now( I asked my prof to help me be a better writer, to help me; she started out by giving me a grade 4 (primary 4) paper to correct the sentence errors and grammar errors, i'm like: me "primary 4 paper." but its all good as long as it would help me)), and facing the crowd for presentations. We were bred with fear, people shunning us and all everytime. Sometimes it helps cos it cautions us when to talk and when not to (but most times its bad) because for here, their mouth no dey stay one place.

New comers patronize the writing center wella o, if you wanna get good grades on your essay papers. For real it helps alot, they have been helping me (in the first few weeks of school, essay that i would write in Nigeria i would get an A for it, but here its either i get a C- or C+, so far so good God has been opening my brain it has gotten far more better.) If you wan know book, everybody is willing to help you....with time we all will get better.

Quite a number of Americans are not so good at writing. They tend to use spoken English more in their essays.

If your style of English is British, then stick to it and develop your accuracy more. Do not let anyone intimidate you.

The puriest form of English is British. Yet some of these Americans criticize the Brits for their own English sometimes.

You can always be a good writer, for instance, if you could grasp literal meaning of any particular word or expression and try to use it perfectly.

Don't worry, God would surely help you. He's the Alpha and Omega.

The best way to register is to go to www.ets.org and choose the GRE option, register an account and subsequently register for a test. You can use your very own MasterCard to register @ $195 (~N45,000)
You can take the test @ Lagos or abuja.
