Typical Nigerians displaying thier PHD syndrome. Instead of asking for upward review of theirs they want a downward review of yours. Haters will always hate. Ask for yours to be increased and say why it should be not asking for someone else's to be reduced. 1 Like |

LOL! And this was the same governor who refused to slash his salary as others were, claiming it would be of no significance. The sad part is most of the work in some of these hospitals are done by the youth corp members. |

angiography: To be frank, I have no problem with them. My best friend is a fourth year medical student, my younger brother is an anatomy student and my soulmate is also a third year medical student. I just hate the way excessive prestige is being accorded to the profession to the detriment of other equally tasking ones. I would probably be studying Medicine now if I wasn't strong enough to avoid bowing to pressure from my medicine-freak parent. Now, they are happy I made the right choice! |
You don't understand the angle am coming from, the truth is that most developed countries uses engineer technology to solve medical problems with little or no stress. Nigeria doctors are far behind most of them can't even work in advance hospitals with recent technology. Have you heard of BIOENGINEERING and HUMANENGINEERING[/quote] Do you even know the meaning of what you typed. Do you think those are conventional engineering specialties like mech and electrical. Lol. |

Datazone: God performed d first Surgery by creating Man and breathing life into him. He thereafter told all he created to bow for the work of Medicine he just created. Even Jesus is referred to as the Balm Of Gilead and the great Physician in respect to the importance of Medicine. you're here talking tombs, spoon & knife. if the world listens to a dafft fellow like you it will crumble. #Oloshi is your name. 2 Likes |

TruthTella: Same way we dont give a shit what you go thru. All I see are people who go into medicine for greed sake. I am an engr and my job exposes me to near death situation daily, so much that I dont know anyone above 35 who didnt leave. The problem with you guys is you have an air of pomposity forgetting that you chose your carer and were not forced. Also arguing that medicine is difficult is utter bullshit. Every human has his strength and weakness, an excellent medical student may not be able to graduate from engineering, same way a first class engineering student may perform awfully if studying linguistics. Talking about experience, exactly what pre service experience do y'all have? How many doctors really know their onions? Though this cuts across all professions. NYSC is about service to nation not to pocket. My sister is a consultant doctor today, after her service year she rendered one year voluntary free service to a humanitarian outfit . So dont come here nagging 1 Like |

sonofananimal:That's just it my brother/sister.To some I may seem paranoid, but what am saying is the truth. Nigeria can't continue this way. Even if the government of the day is blind. We can't all be. Evil politicians have their days number in Nigeria and in Africa as a whole. Let's take a look at the price of the PMS for instance. There are obviously some wicked pms distributors that don't want the price affordable for all and sundry. Just because of their own selfish interest. They increase the price of everything and still hack down people's monthly salary. Isn't that wonderful? |

awesome11: You think we are being accorded respect here??...u need to try western countries where a specialist earns average of $400k...highest in the service career. Medicine has always been a respectable and prestigious profession high and above others at least in the direct service career |

lebete3000:Guy you be mumu o... You are not a Doctor nor a Surgeon. Here is the definition from Google of what a Surgery is: surgery - /ˈsəːdʒ(ə)ri/ noun 1. the treatment of injuries or disorders of the body by incision or manipulation, especially with instruments. 2. a place where a doctor, dentist, or other medical practitioner treats or advises patients. This proves that you a quack and stupid peddler of lies. You need to go to jail and have your license revoked. Ode. Goat... Sense you nor get...
