Evening, everyone. Please, I am quite ignorant of the process of securing admission into the National Open University. Could anyone be kind to educate me? I plan to apply for Political Science at undergraduate level. What are the requirements for admission? When is the resumption date for new intakes? Is there a study centre at Ibadan? If there is, where in Ibadan?

Pay 5000 naira for the form in any zenith bank branch. Just tell them u want to pay for noun form. After that u wait for new session and registration latest by February. Ibadan centre is in Ijokodo in Sango along ibadan poly road. Not far from the poly

Check my previous post (page453) you'll see procedures/channels on how to secure admission into the National Open University of Nigeria. Same process is applicable to PGD and Masters programmes. You should be able to know the "Core Subjects i.e Mathematics, Economics and other Social Science Subjects" required to securing an admission into Political Science at undergraduate level.

The Study Centre, Ibadan is at "Faith junction, Iyana Poly, Sango, Ibadan, Oyo-state."

For those of u saying NOUN is among 100 top universities in Nigeria, you are totally wrong.. Thou i'm a student of NOUN and am enjoying my studies there for the fact that i can prove myself and defend my certificate at anywhere due to the system of their studies but we should call a spade a spade, maybe someone can prove me wrong by showing latest NUC Universities ranking that has NOUN on is Top 100...

Students do not attend lectures in NOUN, they give facilitation. You must be ready to study on your own. You can as well form a study group with some of your course mates.

Yeah, you'll need to go to your SC with your credentials.

Thanks.

I just wrote an exam (mth210) and I scored 48/35. I asked one of the supervisors and she was like it was showing my score over 70. Kindly advice on what I should do. Thanks.

The total number of questions is 35.
You scored 24/35.
Multiply the both by 2
It'll give you 48/70%
So, you scored 48%/70% and not 48/35.

You are saying the same thing the supervisor said. As far as I know, e-exams show ur score over 120 or over 35. This exam showed 48/35. Has anyone ever written an e-exam and saw their result converted to over 70?

Any day, bro.

Bro, I am interested in this programme but I am a bit confused here. my job is shift(morning, afternoon and night). putting this into consideration, how will I know if assignment is given?

Will the assignment be submitted at my own leisure?

What is TMA?

finally, how will I know when exam or quiz is scheduled? Is the exam or quiz usually done online or at the study center?

Sorry for bugging you with my questions, it's because I want to enroll for PGD this months and to be sure of want I am about going into.

God bless you as you reply.

Yes !NOUN program is so flexible, u can determine d pace of d program by yourself, your work won't affect your study so far u plan it very well. Concerning d TMA it will be pasted in your portal after u might have done your course and exam registration. What u will only do ,is to do d printing solve it and submitted it in your portal at your own convenient time(but make sure u submitted before d deadline closure).
I'm also working in one of d busiest state hospital in my state, so far, so good it has not affected my study negatively because I'm doing well in my study.TMA is Tutor mark assignment

What kind of improper fraction is this? Anyway if the system showed u 48/35, take it as an error. You have 48/70!

I new it wouldn't be all TMA. . .
Most TMAs set by women are not normally all TMAs.
