Truth be told, britain is in no capacity to play a major global role as it did in 1966.

Truth be told, many more people around the world today have seen the deceit called Nigeria, where whole sections of the country is subjugated simply based of the accident of being born Igbo.

It is untenable for Igbos to continue accepting being second class citizens in a country they helped immensely in its founding. The same way igbos and other great peoples of Africa rejected colonialism, the same way they will reject internal colonialism by hausa or fulani. It is as simple as that. Anyone that thinks igbo will be their slave should get ready to fight for it. The cat is already out of the bag. in time, it will naturally grow, Britain or no britain.

Hear yourselve. That's what Nigeria is all about,no true democracy.

Thats because the Igbos cant see beyond their nose. Have you forgotten that the Northerners voted massively for Obj even more than the South West. In 2011 the North had split votes for Jonathan and Buhari their own was starved of votes. The Igbos have never really supported anyone other than GEJ. It is not anybody's fault that they alienated themselves from the rest of Nigeria.

Cant you see that by deliberate scheme of things, Power is rotated between South west, North, South South, North and am sure next time is going to be South west. If the rotation should continue to the next South turn, it will still go to the South South. The south south can continue to fraternise with the south east at their own peril.

Just like the civil war was between Hausa and Igbo, the recent Biafra is actually the same as before except that the South south have been pushed forward this time for the convenience of South east. We all know marriages of convenience doesnt last or is definitely headed for trouble waters.

Useless tribalists. Let them go... can't wait to take over their businesses when they leave.
It is unfortunate this race of people fail to realise they are just traders who need to buy &sell to survive. They have no oil, no land, no resource etc. Yet if all the Igbos should go back home, where is the land that will contain them.
They have just taken themselves back to civil war era wher everyone looked at them with suspicion.
I weep 4 them.

People like you are the problem , I don't know your age but please stop all this name calling it will never in anyway solve our problems .Let me ask you a simple question have you ever ask yourself why Biafra? why are they agitating for it? As a Nigerian are you honestly happy with this country call Nigeria? I am an Ibo man but to be honest with you i don't want the break up of our dear country , But for you to result in name calling for those who are looking for self determination which they are in their right to do . You don't like them and yet you don't want them to leave, You are here questioning their abilities to running a country? Its not your cup of tea how they will running it, why do you want to drink medicine for someone else head ache . Again what i hear all the time is this notion that the southeast is land locked, I ask this question is Nigeria better then Switzerland the biggest river in that country is it not lake Geneva they are living fine. In as much as southeast are in the receiving end of worst infrastructural development in Nigeria, They are still more developed then in other areas like housing, education, poverty rate and so many etc. Think about it this was the area where the Nigeria civil war was fought for three good years with self determination they have erase any sign of the war without the government help, Please give them that credit they deserve please . And please stop this name calling that make you look small..

Am surprised most people are yet to realise that once Biafra goes Nigeria is dead. That is why most Nigerians are afraid to discuss Biafra and they mast their fears in subtle threats of anachy. Why is Nigeria afraid to let the people they hated and distrust so much to go? Imagine commerce in Nigeria without the Igbo's, imagine a Super eagle without the Biafrans? You said Igbos are bad yet you can't afford to live without them. The ignorant ones shout on social media that ww should go while their fathers ingeniously work underground to make sure we stay.

People hide under the last election result to insinuate that the Igbos supported the wrong party but they have forgotten so quickly how they derided us few years ago that we are never politically united. When we proved them wrong they changed their slogan to "we hated Buhari". Same way they are gleefully telling us only about the problems ahead, most of them have never bothered to think about prospect of a progressive Biafra.

I hate to see a Divided Nigeria but am not happy as an Igbo in Nigeria if other Nigeria think I have no right to complain, then they shouldn't complain if more people buy the Biafran dream as the day goes by.

Because they develop wherever they live or go doesn't make them unserious about their Biafran agitation!

Jewish people are the leaders in most European and American developmental projects...Zionists developed most American and European nations....that doesn't mean they aren't serious about Israel......it is in Igbo people blood to build and develop wherever they are or live....they are agents of development due to their God-given talent....and you can imagine how Igbo land or Biafra would be if achieved.....it will be so technologically developed.

As for your info...Igbos started engaging in crime after the civil war in which the Nigerian federal government made life so difficult for Igbos by seizing all the money Igbos had in Nigerian banks and giving them just 10shillings......isn't that pure wickedness

Igbos were also sacked and compulsorily retired from all Nigerian government bodies...making life so difficult for Igbos they had to look elsewhere for survival...hence, their struggle to travel abroad...migrate....and involvement in anything that could fetch them money to sustain their life and that of their family members.

If Igbos get Biafra....you will see Igbo people living abroad return to join in developing Biafra to compete with countries like- China....etc....we have so much dream for Biafra that if achieved, the world will marvel at Biafran progress....because corruption will not be tolerated....it will be a death sentence....zero tolerance to corruption in government and leadership!

I don't want to debate, with you,the fact that every tribe in Nigeria has suffered one form of injustice or another. This is because I honestly want Ndigbo to get their Biafra. However,it's really baffling to see so much poverty, infrastructural decay and gross under development in the land of the people (Igbo) who pride themselves as 'African jews'. The five Governors of Igbo land are definitely igbo but the question is why have they not transformed their homeland with their special 'jewish talents'?

I'm yet to be convinced that Igbo truly desire a country of their own. You may start by boycotting everything 'Nigerian', relocate to your region, recall your representatives to the two houses with a secession notification and possibly declare a war of secession against Nigeria.

I still don't understand why Igbo keep boxing themselves to a very tight corner such that they are gradually becoming irrelevant in a country where they are one of the majorities.

Tell us the contribution of the "oil" from the five Ibo states, to Nigeria's Crude export ... in terms of percentages!

Since you are a "man of FACTS", you will have to back-up your claim with facts.
undecided undecided undecided

Waiting.

The contribution is low. You know why? Because they would have been empowered if their hydrocarbon reserves were developed. But then that leaves them with the largest untapped hydrocarbon reserves in the onshore.

And also the cheapest to exploit since they are all land-based.

You need to go learn your Nigerian Geography.

You are still missing the point here!

We Yorubas dont believe in "aggression as a means to an end".

This is where we are different from the Ibos.

We believe more in "Use of Brain power" to resolve issues, after-all, after the "fight-fight", you will still have to come and "discuss" to solve the problem.
And we have the RESULTS TO PROVE IT, in the last 55 years of Nigeria's independence! kiss kiss

Look at it this way: When Animals disagree over territory, its a "fight to death and the stronger has to kill the weaker one, to stay alive".
But as evolved "higher animals", man has learnt to set-up institutions to "deliberate and find solutions" to the same type of territorial issues... instead do behaving like wild animals.

The ability to resolve issues without recourse to "base, animalistic mentality" is a sign of "sophisticated, cranial development"....(look at America made up of over 50 states (like 50 countries), yet it is able to resolve its electoral disputes (even outright rigging as in Al Gore, unlike some African countries like East Africa, Ivory Coast, Liberia which will destroy each other over the same thing)

You will agree with me that this is a symptom of "being evolved and sophistication".

NB: you have insulted me a few times but l have taken the pains to respond to you in a "civil manner" to still buttress my point that we are "genetically different ....and miles-apart"!
That is why l am Yoruba.... and you are Ibo

Ha! I see you have stopped talking about clash of interests, which is the primary reason why Nigeria is an utter failure.
...........

Sir, the truth is that: corruption, nepotism, bad leadership et al are symptoms of the structure of the country and having a big government where everything is centralised. Take nepotism for example - it's intertwined with competitive environments and human nature cos we're all subconsciously partial to those we see as family, no matter how folks may try to live in denial. So how would you be able to rid the polity off nepotism, in such a competitive country like Nigeria, where the three headed-monsters (Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa/Fulani) are trying to protect their respective interests? And if curbing nepotism is a pipe-dream, how would you be able to solve the problem of bad leadership and corruption which are offspring of nepotism?

Furthermore, when trying to ascertain if something is either feasible or not, it's always good to do a proper feasibility study. And once you take time out to do a proper feasibility of study about Nigeria and human behavioural patterns vis-a-vis countries that're functioning in other climes. You'd see that it'll be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for Nigeria to function properly. Honesty of purpose is very difficult there are interests to be protected within a structure. For example: we all saw how Buhari got elected with a pledge of equity/equality and honesty of purpose. However, what did he do when he got there? - he and his Northern cabal made sure the executive, legislative, and judiciary are in control of the North. That's how you checkmate folks and secure ya interests. Regional government and true federalism out of the window, with just one move - and the Northern interest was protected by that move.

I honestly can't answer Biafran questions for Igbos - they'll have to answer that.

You are very good at putting words into my mouth! grin grin
*I never said our problems were due to "clash of interest"..... that was your own interpretation!
*I never said Nepotism is a "symptoms of the structure of the country and having a big government" .... again, that was your interpretation!
All l said was that Nepotism is "one of the problems" we have in the country, like corruption, e.t.c. These problems occur in homogenous countries as well.
*I dont want to discuss Buhari and whathe has achieved or not achieved in the last 5months of being President, It will go on for the next one week grin grin

Finally, you have been speaking for the Ibos and trying to defend their secessionist agenda for the last few pages of this thread but all of a sudden, you decided you can NO LONGER speak for them ..... because we both know the answer to that question l asked you..... and you dont want to admit it! undecided undecided

This Biafra agitation is PRIMARILY BORNE out of SELFISHNESS and GREED for the Niger Delta Oil.

All other reasons are "excuses'and therefore manageable.

My final position still remains that :
1) They can feck-off as long as they are willing to keep their hands on their five "core Ibo states.

or

2.) They can reasonably and intelligently, without recourse to aggressive, blackmailing techniques which never works, "seek audience on how to improve their lot within Nigeria", which as we all know, is primarily due to their lack of foresight (just look at their "voting pattern" in the last election)

Nuff said.

Thansk for your time, always enjoy discussing with ya.

People like you are the reason why this agitation persist almost 50yrs after the war. Your complex you have right now is that Biafra will always be at the mercy of Nigeria but you forgot that there will be no Nigeria if Biafra succeeds. The unholy alliance of the West and North only survives when Biafra is held back. Biafra is the heart beat of Nigeria that's why Nigeria can not let her go. If I were you, I'll tone down your arrogant posture to solving this problem that threatens Nigeria's corporate existence.

Your post also shows your poor knowledge of Geography because no where in history is the presence of a sea a condition for nationhood otherrwise, Niger, Chad, Mali, Austria, Zambia, Zimbabwe etc that lack access to the sea will not exist. Ask yourself what is worth upholding or fighting for in a one Nigeria. Electricity? Shelter? Food? Sewage systems? Roads? Water? Education? Government? Natural resources?! We don't need the stupid oil! It's been in Nigeria for over 40yrs! What is it?! You try to sound like an intellectual, but all you pointed are emotional, and subjective nonsense. What is your problem with a nation that has no source of income.

Awon ode, agatu.

The future lies in Tech, tech will replace water when you have the brains.

Even though Awolowo tried to make us perpetual slaves, we rose against all odds and built IGBO to a name one can be proud of. Why are you all so naive and scared. 'It's the useless igbos, right?' how many Igbos do you see begging like deranged bastards on the road? Ehn.

Anuofia. Ewure Ghana.

3And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

4But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

5And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.

smiley I do not know about controlling Nigeria, but I know other nations consult with their masters, just as one handy man looks up to his Oga who taught him his trade and graduated him

That said , take care
Phinagold:

U know nothing about history. As stupid as u are u dont know that the so called Britain still control Nigeria, they know fully well that they wont have any direct business with Biafra and thus wont benefit from there. Thats why they are insisting on one Nigeria. If they dont give a f>ck about Nigeria, why do ur so called leaders still look up to their opinion

Nigeria is not an independent country. Get that straight

British actually do give a dame. How else do u think bills like PIB are yet to see the like of the day? How else do think Nigeria will continually to them for help? My friend it is through a people who can be control with minimum effort as against the " oversabi " south

Nelson Mandela was a freedom fighter, human right activist and he truly had his people's best interest at heart he fought for independence
