I quote "Ask any average man in Lagos, they know that power is one place then know the government is trying" - GEJ. where we had none. How can he be more clueless. I like him though but he isn't fit to lead. No emotional attachment. He's not fit to rule. I'm happy he is enjoying his life right now. 1 Like |

Re: Biafra Protest Rages In South East, Group Vows To Shut Down Aba on Monday - SUN by Stylaay(m): 8:21am On Nov 09, 2015 |
All this agitation boils down to inequality and injustice. The ibo man has always being marginalised in Nigeria. If not for the South Easterner's business prowess that had empowered him economically they would virtually be second class citizens in this country. Why IBO's love Jonathan I believe is that he gave tthem a sense of belonging that has never being witnessed since the end of the civil war which is probably why the easterners seem more pained by his exit compared to those from the south south. That said I have a problem with the way most IBO's on this forum go about insulting other tribes and agitating for Biafra. The same applies to yorubas and the rest who insult and stereotype IBO's. The message is being put across in a very disdainful way. This protest gathered momentum because of the perceived exclusion of IBO's from the APC government. The APC government I would advice should endeavour to ensure every region feels included in its government. I was speaking with a Professor from the east that I know was an adernt supporter of President Buhari even before he became President and he told me something that got me thinking and perhaps less worriedm he said how many intellectuals and policy makers express their opinions via social media forums. He said this because I was trying to draw his attention to the war brewing over the social media and I have really come to agree with him. Most non easterners think the average IBO wants to seceed from Nigeria. A lot of us do not even understand where all this aggressive agitation is coming from. But alas it is very easy to manipulate the uneducated and naive into achieving your goals just as boko haram has succeeded in doing. The fact is we should either conduct a sovereign national conference to decide if we want to go back to regional system of government which I believe every region would want. Or start practicing true federalism. The Biafran agitators will never match the might of the federal government no need to decieve themselves. They will just bring bloodshed to the east as boko haram has done to the north east. The IBO leaders and intellectuals are not calling for Biafra and not in support of it. The business man in kano, Lagos, plateau, and other parts outside Nigeria doesn't understand what the agitation for Biafra is about. He just wants to do his business and empower himself economically. The government just needs to give east some sense of inclusion. At least most of you saw the Enugu Onitsha express way, the gully erosion ravaging the east and parts of the south. They just need to feel federal presence a little more but I advice them to exercise patience let the government find its footing. You social media kids need to grow up. Learn to argue and profound solutions reasonably without resulting to insults and hate. Please the matured mind on this forum have a duty to guide the younger one aright though it can be frustrating but posterity will judge us if we sit quietly and watch the younger ones developed so much have and disaffection amongst themselves. teamchocolate: FOR YOU INFORMATION ALL THE STATES IN THE SE HAVE CRUDE OIL EXCEPT ENUGU WHICH HAS COAL/ BEAR IN MIND ALSO THAT IMO STATE HAS THE LARGEST RESERVE OF ONSHORE CRUDE OIL IN WEST AFRICA. THE RIVER NIGER WILL BE EASILY DREDGED TO THE ATLICTIC OCEAN TO ACCOMMODATE EVEN THE BIGGEST SEA FARING VESSELS. OGA YOU CANNOT FORCE THE IKWERE OR THE IJAW MAN TO JOIN YOU IN ANYWHERE THE WILL MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS FOR THE IGBO NATION IS ALREADY LARGE ENOUGH AS IT IS. ANYWAY THE IJAWS ALSO NEED BIAFRA. teamchocolate: my friend i an not here to argue with you, the river niger under Biafra (not nigeria) will be effectively dredged to the Atlantic ocean, your wishes or dreams cannot stop this reality. except for the yoruba like south south all other south south are with biafra. from the ikwere of rivers to those in delta state and the ijaws of the coast line. stop living in a fools paradise and smell the brewing coffee. https://www.youtube.com/watch/?v=jonIjtTkFkQ&feature=youtu.be |
