Since our Tribunals have now turned this thing into "Cash and carry"
They should at least allow all parties to bid competitively.

The Judiciary under GMB has removed its veil
It now takes steps to see if its APC that is involved.
If it's APC, Relocate and Nullify!

Meaning PDP are just being Emotional and not Reasonable about this!

The fact is that the law requires the the Primaries hold in Taraba State capital. But PDP moved theirs to Abuja (against the laws of the land) in order to sell it to the highest bidder.

Even if you order a re-run, PDP will not participate because their candidate was illegally selected and the time for Primaries (selection of candidates) is long gone. Also for holding the Primary in Abuja, all the aspirants in PDP are automatically disqualified.

No matter how you mix this, PDP are losers on this one. It is Mama Taraba all the way. No one can stop a destiny whose time has come.

The Taraba Coalition of Youth Leaders has described Saturday’s election tribunal judgment nullifying the election of Governor Dirus Ishaku as provocative.

The group also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to take steps to avert a full-blown crisis in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the coordinators of the group, Mijinyawa Usman and Daniel Maikasuwa, in Abuja on Sunday.

According to them, one of the cardinal roles of any true leader is the security of his people.

This, they further argued, “makes it incumbent on any true leader not to sacrifice the life and property of his people for anything material or for power considerations.”

The statement partly read, “It is our belief that President Muhammadu Buhari is such a leader considering his antecedents. Although our dear President is a loyal party man, we don’t see him as a cut-throat politician bent on imposing anyone on a people.

“That is why we, the undersigned, are making this passionate appeal to His Excellency, the Commander- in-Chief. First, we wish to appeal to His Excellency to take more than a passing interest in the outcome of the tribunal judgment on the state governorship imbroglio.

“Your Excellency must have been properly briefed by now and would have noticed that this judgment, apart from being a travesty of justice, is an insult on the President’s sense of propriety and justice.”

They alleged that “even a child on the street knows” that Governor Darius Ishaku was unfairly treated.

They argued that what transpired at the tribunal was a “serial robbery” of an uncommon kind.

“Who can forget that just recently in Benue State, Governor Samuel Ortom, who confessed he didn’t go through a primary is still now a governor. Is it because he belongs to the APC or what?” the group queried.

Members of the group also noted that since the judgment on Saturday, ancient fears and animosity had suddenly been revived in Taraba.

However, a group of supporters of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Jummai Al-Hassan, while suing for peace, urged the people of the state to resist the temptation of being used by unscrupulous politicians to disrupt public peace.

The spokesperson for the group of supporters, Ibrahim Suleiman, said, “This is the time to work together to rebuild Taraba and not for people to threaten the peace.”

People must think before commenting on this discuss. The law is very simple and sacrosanct, respecter of no one. There are stipulations that were not adhered to by the PDP candidate believing that Jonathan was going to win the election to save him. It was done based on the prevailing impunity that characterized that government . I advise that some of you should go read that judgement once again. It was based on the prayers of the APC candidate that Governor Darius Ishaku was not legally sponsored by the PDD since the primary that gave him the candidature was illegal and did not meet the electoral guidelines as amended. It means that Governor Darius Ishaku did not participate in the election. All he needs to do is proceed to appeal and see if he will win. He is bound to fail because he started on a sandy foundation and must crumble.

Taraba is taking already. It is a done deal. Even if there is a Re-Run, PDP is not qualified to contest as they have invalid candidate. We are only waiting for 21 days to PDP to pack out and also straighten up the accounts before someone land in jail after being kicked out.

On the benue issue.
How would there be a document for something that never happened? The proof of pdp is that there is no document or coverage showing the primary was held (can there be a winner of a contest without the contest holding?).

but the electional tribunal was rigth in sitting at Abuja and giving judgement from Abuja instead of Jalingo which is the capital of Taraba?...The judgement is a blunder...the same reason the election tribunal shifted to Abuja is the reason the PDP primaries was moved to Abuja which produced Darius Ishiaku...when you go through the relevant sections of the electoral act as amended, try to distinguish between the use of words with "MAY' and ''SHALL''.. while ''MAY' implies not mandatory, ''SHALL'' implies mandatory. For the INEC to witness the primaries is not mandatory (MAY)..implying its a party in-house stuff and not compulsory for INEC to witness the conduct of the primaries. It is only mandatory for the INEC to be notified of primaries.

By the provisions of Section 140 of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended), where an Election Tribunal or Court determines that a candidate who obtained the highest votes was not qualified to contest the election, it shall not declare the candidate with the second highest votes as elected, but it shall order for a fresh election.

On the other hand, where the Tribunal or Court determines that the candidate who was returned as elected did not score majority of valid votes at the election, it shall declare the candidate with the highest valid votes as elected.

Why all this miscarriages of justice since May 29th

Fresh election against who? Even if tribunal order fresh election PDP won't participate in the election.
