I have seen the interior of both cars. Oh! I love the Lexus but i don't know anything about the fuel consumption rate and maintenance cost.
Someone told me that ES300 uses Toyota sienna Engine while ES350 uses same engine with Toyota Highlander.

I intend to use the car on daily basis:
Work: 15minutes drive X2.
Travels: 7hrs drive (maybe 6-10times per/yr)
Intra-state Visits: 45mins - 1:30hr drive (maybe 10-15times per/yr)

Which of these cars can best serve the purpose.

Please i need information on the fuel consumption and maintenance.

Both cars will serve the purpose but with different levels of expenditure.

The corolla uses less fuel since it has a smaller engine and maintenance cost is less

The lexus isn't supposed to be compared with the corolla since its a luxury car(you didn't even say IS lexus rather you pitched it against lexus ES). Well, Maintenance and fueling is far higher than the corolla

Perhaps you'd have better luck comparing cars in the same category. The Lexus ES series are luxury sedans. Pretty much all of them sport the 3L V6 Twin Cam, Premium in-car entertainment (think Mark Levinson), Stock Leather and Mahogany Trims, rear AC vents, if I'm not mistaken. The Corolla is, for all intents and purposes, an economy, entry level sedan. I4, 1.8/2.2/2.4L.

I have seen that the corolla is cheap to maintain but less powerful.

If the ES is not problematic, what could make the maintenance more costly.

If Corolla can take 10litres

Since when did asking for information between two choices become a comparison. OP asked for details as to fuel consumption and maintenance for each vehicle and then it becomes a case of comparison? The details in question are up there. @OP, toyota corolla is fuel economical and easy to maintain. Engine capacity can be 1.6/1.8/2.0 (even I doubt if there's 2.0). It is also compact with small cabin space whereas a lexus (usually a V6) is thirsty. Engine capacity can be 3.0/3.3 (ES 300/ ES 330). Lexus is more luxurious, spacious, heavier on ground, stable on high speed. With ur itinerary, I'll go for d Lexus. Mind you, the lexus may consume more fuel than d corolla which to me is a small price 2pay for quality. A corolla is base, nothing u do can make it more special/luxurious but a lexus is made that way from scratch. I hope that satisfies u.

Am confused as the op here. Am also considering either of the two cars and I believe the lexus es300 won the race

The fuel consumption is because of the big engine( which is a good thing).

OP, if u are not that bouyant why not go for corolla thats less expensive to maintain? Afterall, it can serve all listed purposes and has good second hand value. The lexus are a status/luxury range of cars and their parts are relatively more expensive than corolla's.

Summary: since u are buying for efficiency and not status go for a corolla.

it is not a luxurious “camry”. It has nothing to do with the camry apart from chasis. The es300 will also beat an avalon of same year hands down. It’s not a “camry” affair

Status well we go pick lexus but the ES has been bastardized, nah yahoo boy car, he full everywhere like pure water.

That corolla isn't that common but looks sporty and beautiful on the inside, it is still a basic ride sha. But if I were in your shoes I would pick the lexus, I love powerful ride, good accessories and gadgets which the ES has more than the corolla ofcourse lexus is luxury assured
