Itissettled3 my sister, pls hang in there and never lose hope. God will soon remember you like he did for so many of us here.

I'm sorry for my long absence here. I have been very busy. Thanks , the babies are doing great. It was a roller coaster journey but in the end, God gave us victory. I did a whole lot differently. I stopped taking fizzy drinks, was strictly on water. A lot of times , I added lemon to my water which I drank all day. Didn't take cold water. Ate lots of protein, fruits and vegetables. Lost some weights too.

Took my supplements judiciously(from the ones dr gave me to the ones i bought myself). Did the ewedu therapy sef. I did a whole lot but in all, I embarked on a water therapy. I made sure I drank lots of water. I was peeing like a pregnant woman. Many people thought I wa preggies then. The water therapy helped to detox my body .

Took care of the fibroid that I struggled with. Dr. Emeka gave me some medications then and I on my part took some supplements to help . Learnt about them from a couple of women who used them . I ordered and also used them. By the time I went back for observation at the clinic, the fibroid has greatly shrunk. Dr. Emeka was happy with what he saw.

Made myself very happy. Distanced myself with any form of negativity and I totally made myself happy. Got some comedy videos, watched them and laughed so hard. I forgot my worries. Didn't discuss this very procedure with anyone other than my husband. No family, friends, colleagues, foes, relatives, pastor, etc was carried along. It was strictly between me, my husband, my doctor and my God. (Make person know wetin dey pursue am sef).

Congrats olubankemi and other preggy mamas ur testimonies shall be permanent IJN.
Most IVF doctors in nigeria are more concerned
About their pocket than the success of the procedure. I could remember dt during my last IVF my gynea did not examine me talkless of doing a scan prior to d procedure. probably because I did my first IVF with dem one year before the 2nd one
Transfer was so difficult dt I was convinced it Wld nt work cos wen I went to urinate after ET about 5mls of blood gushed out .if he had done mock transfer he Wld av known there was cervical stenosis
What baffles me most is dt I know abt 3 to 4 pple who got BFP in d same hospital.

Hello everyone, pls has anyone used horizon medical centre wuse Abuja? I have been scouring the posts for anyone's experience with Ashermans syndrome. Am planning to go for operative hysteroscopy soon. This next step is a big deal for me because i have done adhesiolysis which did not work so a repeat surgery is needed to clear the uterus of adhesion. I really pray for it to be successful to avoid further surgeries. My period is regular but short(1 day)and extremely light, the color has also changed from red to dark brown. Pls mamas dont read and run,pls share ur story, suggestion and recommendation. I would be grateful for any information.

Hello sis
You are already on the right path. An operative hysterescopy is the way forward.
However discuss the option of catether ballon inserted in the uterus PLUS estrogen after to prevent further adhesions /scars.
Look into it (Dr Google). And ask your doc the protocol he intends to adopt.
Btw how come u had further scars after the ist surgery?

Hello dear,

With ashermans please do not be in a hurry to do the surgery.I had three ivf cycles in a space of ten 10months,the first one I had no follicles, the second one the xfer was difficult, so I was almost sure d ivf had failed, immediately I was asked to do an hysteroscopy and it was discovered I had adhesions, incidentally I had done an hysteroscopy a year b4 where a false passage was created in the womb,so my last xfer went to a psuedo cavity.Anyway na me even sauy could this be ashermans?I have done a lot of research abt ashermans and I understand not all Gynaes or FS can fix it that sometimes they may cause more damage, there's an asherams support grp on yahoo, they have a list of top A's B's and C's Dr's that specialise in AS.I have read stories of pple who did not have periods for 10months and after sugery they had periods and even got preggo naturally.Adhesiolysis is blind surgery so it's a no no.Like somone said she has only one womb and she will not allow anyone mess it up.I had a phone consult with one of the surgeons highly recommended and am hoping to see him sometime soon.Am at a point where I won't leave my womb for anyone to touch abeg.Na only one womb I get.Be guided well please. The first hyst I did in Naija was done by an FS in Lagos, medical director and he messed it up.God will guide you on making the right decison. The ashermans may be moderate since you still have a day cycle. All the best

@jubrilla cervical stenosis is a condition in which d cervix ( opening of the uterus) is narrow. It could occur from birth or result from repeated vaginal infection, trauma to the cervix, radiation etc you can Google for more info.i hope this helps

Goodmorning all,@ Ladyguinivere thank u for ur response. Actually a ballon(foley catheter was fitted inside me for 7 days to keep the walls of my uterus apart and prevent reform. I was placed on the pill microgynova(hormonal therapy) for 3 months to promote uterine healing and i also took antibiotics. So to ur question why there is adhesions after the surgery,i guess is bc my doctor is not skilled in the treatment of As. Adhesiolysis is a blind procedure has the tendency of making the adhesion get worse though i read that despite everyone's efforts, often the adhesions reform after surgery,so repeated surgeries may be needed to clear the uterus. But then scar tissue is created mostly from surgery so u see ...it could be such a vicious cycle! @ Tanidabi may God bless u for sharing. Am so sorry u re going tru dis too. I tried gettin in touch wit @Momma2 for d contact of d gynae dat did her hysteroscopy in Abu Dhabi bt ddnt get a response. I cannot affort to see Dr march in Los Angeles or Dr Trew in hammersmith London.

you obviously have seen the AS thread,it is well with you ,i had a phone consult with Dr March and he said he has loads o patients from Nigeria, scars may not reform if you see the right person,i know it's no small money ,there was anoda dr that was recommeded in indis, though he's a C-lister ,incidentally i spoke to him years ago when an uncle wanted me to gp to india. The name i thinnk is Dr Vivek Marwa,Sir Ganga ram hospital,he sure would be affordable ,na our Naira dey mess things up really
I have a schedule of the A,B and Clisters i could send to you if you want it,you can also do more reasearch ,seems a lot of ladies used regular drs and still got result,i even read of someone who used a doc in uch ,though i can't verify that.I think the starting point is to see someone in Nigeria first who will be realistic with you, incidentally when i spoke to Dr March he said he refers people for follow up at Premier,Dr Osinowo,if you feel up to it you may wanna try,my opinion though, but i personally won't allow anyone to touch my uterus,i can't afford Dr March too but in the mean time i will be watching, the truth is you may be lucky getting someone in Naija but it may think more than two or three.Another friend told me of somewhere in Egypt which i s really cheap.God will guide you

You are absolutely correct.

When someone seeks advice on this forum, what he or she needs is genuine and objective advise and not masked salesmanship. It is obvious to me that all IVF/Fertility threads on nairaland have been taken over by agents of various Fertility clinics who do nothing than to bad mouth their competitors and hype their principals.

I mean, how can someone recommend a "sperm booster" for someone with a sperm count of 2MM when any medical person knows that there is practically no scientific proof of efficacy of such drugs. Another danger of this prescription is that it runs the risk of making the person concern waste valuable time on these drugs while the sperm count deteriorate.

However, what irks me the most is when I see a certain Dr. Emeka promoted as the best thing that has happened to the Nigeria infertility management field. I mean this Dr. Emeka is not even a qualified gynaecologist! In a sane clime, someone like that will not be allowed to advertise himself as a fertility specialist because, he is not. Simple. But unfortunately, so many Nigerians must have fallen victim of his false and fabricated expertise on Nairaland.

My advise is that people should "befriend Google' and get fertility information from objective and credible sources. Below are the sources I will recommend:

http://www.resolve.org/?referrer=https://www.google.com.ng/ (The biggest infertility support group in the world. the site has loads and loads of resources)
http://hms.harvard.edu/
http://www.webmd.com/infertility-and-reproduction/guide/choosing-a-fertility-clinic
http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/fertility/
http://www.mayoclinic.org/search/search-results?q=infertility

I am not a doctor but as someone who battled infertility for 6 years before God finally answered my prayers, I experienced all sorts of shenanigans and will not want any other person to experience such

well @ cocoafarma, i am not an agent neither do i have any vested interest. Im just stating my experience about my hubby's sperm count for a friend in need. low sperm count is caused by many reasons and i tell you because im a living witness that sperm count can be boosted with the right diet and sufficient vitamins and minerals. Fairhaven products really works take it or leave it

Hello everyone!
I'm happy to see that we can discuss about this key treatment on forums in Africa.
Nigerians Doctors have really developed expertise, and some Cameroonians too.

My story: I have two kids, all girls, and my home is very fragile because of that lack of a son. I don't know why I conceive only girls...Because of that, I'm really concerned and I know DH is not happy as he could have been. Not that I don't love my kids because they are of female gender like me; on the contrary, I really work hard to protect them and raise them for them to become God-fearing strong ladies in this manly society.
I've recently started to think about going the route of IVF-PGD in order to have a son as number 3 child, and with God's grace, twin boys smiley!

I'm looking for a serious clinic to do that in Nigeria. Because it is like this service does not exist in my country. I've seen that Fusion Nest Fertility does that...But not sure if that is even where to go. Please let me know:

- What are the most serious clinics in Nigeria?
-Is IVF-PGD permitted by law in Nigeria?
- How much does it cost overall?
would be grateful if could provide links to follow on these questions.
You are all just wonderful! I pray for God's blessings upon you all who desire Him sincerely, in the mighty name of my Lord Jesus-Christ!

Carrying extra weight around the waist is common for people with pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes, but it doesn't have to be that way. As a matter of fact, trimming your belly fat will not only help you look and feel better, it can also help reduce your risk of heart attack, infertility issue and stroke.

Making your abdominal muscles stronger has another advantage as well. They support the lower back and hold you upright. Continual poor posture puts these muscles to sleep, leaving you with a belly bump as well as an aching back.

A good ab workout will lighten your midsection and emphasize other large muscles of your body in a way that increases your metabolism (to burn fat) and improves your posture (to make you look younger and leaner).

Good day Sister

My wife and I used The Bridge Clinic for bringing in our miracle child. I was suffering from a low sperm count and by the Grace of God a family friend referred us to the Clinic where we were welcomed and accepted by the staff. I know many people always complain about the prices but can you really put a price on a child, especially if your heart is set on it? I am now living one of my dreams of being a father. I cant explain how fatherhood has changed my life and contributed to the man I am today. No two cases are ever the same but I do know that they also specialise in IVF and other treatments for both males and females.

Wishing you the very best. Blessings in abundance.

Nogen:

At Mamachildren, try to call this woman, Mama Helen on 07066968188 or 08023259582. God has used her to treat both men and women infertility problems and He is still using her. One of us Redeemsaves also went their and got her positive result. I did too because I wanted to cleanse my system before embarking on the 4th IVF journey. While I was taking the cleansing herbs, I took in. By then, hubby hadn't started taking his treatment. Hubby has since started taking his eventhough God has answered us and he is seeing lots of improvement. He will be going for medical analysis soon. With the bad report he got from the hospitals, I still conceived. Do not lose hope please.
