Shymm3x: I'm not just Ijesha but 100% Ijesha. Both parents hail from Ilesha, Osun state. ...not seen Davido's cousins yet but I'm sure they must be clean and pretty, obviously with the wealth inherent in the family. You know what, I'm not too happy with the way things are going in my beloved state. The lack of funds and non-payment of the salaries of civil servants. Aregbe needs to explore more avenues to increase the state's IGR. The gold deposits in Ilesha and the tourism potentials of the state should be harnessed. |

zimoni:Whatever decision we take (new party or remain in the Apc) It is looking good for us, forget the "loopsided" appointments ( that gave us the Firs). The Yoruba leaders of the Apc are smart men, they have been there before (june 12) and there is a reason why they nominated heavy weight for every position they got. Fashola, fayemi, osinbajo, fowler, lai, no matter what, these men will be the shining light of this administration. Tinubu is not stupid, he chose a fragile, old and maybe honest Buhari (remember his fellow elite fulani never wanted him as president) Kwankwoso's recent outburst and Quimicababes's revelation about a top fulani elite, shows how scared these people are. 2019 is going to be very interesting, Tinubu is a patient smart fellow 5 Likes |

Shymm3x: I am loving you the more. The fact you are outside actually make you see the big picture. Actually, they are waiting in the wings to organise around the feudal arch conservatives from the north because they are soul mates. Those societies are feudal as well. Did you not see how the politicians rally around Saraki? The game being played is against buhari's age. If at all the unfortunate thing happens, a well position Saraki will be available to shunt Osinbajo aside while the looting clique is reconstituted. 1 Like |

tupacshakur: Darn!! Ijesha folks are great merchants and warriors - salute! Osun is blessed but poor based on the revenue the state generates and what it gets from the FG. But I think the governor needs to focus more on tourism cos a lot of Yorubas in the new world go there for festivals. There are over 80 million folks practising Yoruba religions in South America and the Caribbean alone and a lot of those folks look towards to all these Osun festivals. Now imagine what will happen if the state governor can make these festivals world class events and create awareness about them everywhere. Davido's cousins are nice - and bwoi, you need to check the type of crazy bodies these chics have. Let me attach the pics of two of them (the first one is Brenda and the 2nd one is Fola): |

IyaIode: Appointments has never meant anything to the SW apart from getting commiserate numbers employed in the ministry. Yes you expect to be in top positions but as long as the politicians bring the bacon home.... It's OK. This is exactly why ours are different from the SE. Their go to Abuja to stuff their mouth and bringing nothing home. When they do bring, it does address their strategic needs ( e.g the warehouse Jonathan called a port) and for which, they gave their vote. Later they shout lack of federal presence when the people they voted fail them. |

<IGBO OLODUMARE> : Igbo Olodumare, a world within our world, robed in plush vegetative apparel, is simply a mystifying place, and just as its name implies, it is ‘The Forest of the Almighty’. The mysterious forest was first brought to notice by two of Pa Fagunwa’s great works – Ògbójú ode nínú Igbó írúnmolè & Igbó Olódùmarè; and was later translated to English language by the Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka. He described the forest as the forest of witches, wizards, spirits and a hundred more mysterious things. He wrote of giant snails and crabs, he wrote of things that make one wonder, things that sparks the fire of wanderlust in the reader’s heart. This same forest is present on our land, the land of Oke-Igbo, Ile Oluji-Oke Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. The enchanting forest is a two-hour journey from Akure, the state capital. The people of Ile-Oluji are mostly cocoa and oil-palm farmers. They also make a living through palm wine tapping which is also major characteristic occupation in south west of Nigeria. Twenty minutes to the entrance of Igbo- Olodumare, there sits a bizarre-looking village which the people regard as the age-old ‘guard’ of the ancient forest. A visitor cannot but get distracted by the picturesque Ògèrìwèsé Rivulet- the first attraction in the mysterious forest, which the people believe possesses spiritual ability to prevent evil creatures from entering into the village and also neutralize any form of charm evil- minded visitors attempt to take into the forest.Igbo-Olodumare is a rugged terrain, densely punctuated with beautiful inselbergs of varying sizes in-between which thick forest covers intertwine. Continuing along the footpath leading from the river, a t-junction leads to a place called Òkè- Lángbòdò and a place called Ìsálú Òrun- it is from these two places that one links other parts of the forest. It is said that Ìsálú Òrun is not a place where visitors are allowed to go because the place is believed to be the residence of the spirits. The entrance of Òkè-Lángbòdò is marked by a small opening under a big granite rock where prayers are made before entering the mystifying forest. Also at the entrance is a sculptured figure of ancient hunter which Pa Faguwa mentioned in his novel, being a human being before he was supernaturally turned into a rock. The entrance of Òkè-Lángbòdò forest was the exact point the writer described as the site of the occurence. The peak of Òkè-Lángbòdò has ever constituted a daunting challenge for adventurous rock-climbers visiting the forest due to its steep and slippery slopes. Nevertheless, a visit to the forest will not be completely gratifying without an ascent of this hill. On its ascent, one is treated to panoramic views of the entire forest, enchanting landscapes bedecked by the rare ewé àkokò plants adorning the hill tops. Ewé àkokò plant is used for the coronation of a new king in the land. Another important attraction in the mysterious forest is the Aginjù Ìdákéróró (the forest of absolute silence). It is said that the silence in this forest is so palpable that communication becomes a problem between two people standing 4m away from each other. One of the most popular attractions in the mysterious forest is the stygian ‘Bottomless Hole’. Some people believe that the forest is filled with all the mysterious things that had been said about it (especially in the award-winning novel), while some believe they’re all lies. Nevertheless, a visit to the Forest of a thousand demons keeps you craving for more adventure, therefore we say “seeing is believing” . I find the name fascinating |

oduastates: Lol @ the bold. I thought I was the only one who saw that. But I don't really talk about it cos you can't wish death on a man, who's the leader of a country. They saw what happened with Yar Adua and don't want the same thing to repeat itself, hence they positioned all their foot soldiers where they need to be, should old age catch up with the incumbent. Hence I laugh all the time when these APC clowns allude to Tinubu playing some type of game to unseat Saraki and that the rise Saraki has nothing to do with Buhari and the Northern hegemony - wishful thinking. All Saraki needed to do was show his loyalty and it's been game over since then. 1 Like |

Vicktor Taiwo Taiwò moved from Nigeria to London when he was a young boy with little understanding of when how long it’d be before he’d visit his former home again. His latest song, “Curse”, reflects on such adolescent heartbreak with moody synth-pop production. Taiwò’s sultry voice coats the song with R&B earnestness, washing over heartbeat drums and distant, subtle acoustic guitar flourishes. He recalls his own faults throughout the song with transparent lines like, “I still pray for you when your curse my name/ But maybe boys my age make so many fucking mistakes”. Oladipo Omishore (la familia) (born 1986), professionally known as Dot da Genius, is an American record producer and mixing engineer from Brooklyn, New York City. He is perhaps best known for producing "Day 'n' Nite", the debut single of friend, frequent collaborator and American recording artist Kid Cudi, with whom he later formed a rock band with known as WZRD.[1] Engaged in various music production ventures, Dot da Genius has also signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Group, launched his own label HeadBanga Muzik Group and has since employed a mix engineer (Jay Powell). He has also collaborated with several prominent artists in the music industry, such as King Chip and Jhené Aiko, among others. Life and career 1986–2005: Early life Oladipo Omishore is from the Brooklyn borough of New York City. His parents always encouraged his interest in music, and at the age of seven, his father sent him to the Brooklyn Music School for piano lessons, where he studied with legendary teacher Tom Coote. Dot Da Genius preferred playing the guitar, but learning how to play the keyboard was very beneficial later in life when he started producing. He attended Polytechnic Institute of New York University in New York, where he studied electrical engineering and graduated in 2009. 2006–2009: Career beginnings and producing for Kid Cudi Omishore began his career in sound-mixing in 2003 at Polytechnic University by using Image-Line's FL Studio program. In 2004, Omishore created a studio in his basement with equipment bought by his parents and would later call it "Head Banga Muzik Studios." After gaining attention for his production, he decided to change locations to the Brewery Recording Studio. In May 2009, Da Genius partnered up with Andrew Krivonos, owner of Brewery Recording Studio, and helped move the studio to North Brooklyn in a new facility. Dot Da Genius and Kid Cudi met in 2006, and they lived together for two years. Both artists found a genuine liking for one another, and chose to work with each other on several music productions. "Day N' Nite" turned out to be the biggest hit production that both of them worked on together, with Da Genius providing the beats and CuDi rapping and singing over the music. He produced the song in Head Banga Muzik Studios, and used several different methods of mixing and synthesizing the beats on this track. The song took a total of two days to complete, from the instrumental being made to the track's final arrangements. No edits were made after that two-day process ended. It was finished in 2007 and became popular two years later, in 2009. "Day N' Nite" reached the top three in the United States and the United Kingdom. It was released under the labels GOOD Music, Fool's Gold Records, Universal Motown Records, and Data Records. It is featured on the album Man on the Moon: The End of Day. 2010–present: WZRD Main articles: WZRD (band) and WZRD (album) WZRD is Dot Da Genius and Kid Cudi's collaboration alternative rock band. Kid Cudi focuses on the vocals, while Da Genius is responsible for the production. Together, they produced a self-made album titled WZRD. A lot of their inspiration behind the album was from their love for Nirvana, The Pixies, and Pink Floyd. They recorded much of the album in either their tour bus while they were on the road, or Cudi's basement studio in Hollywood Hills. This album contained absolutely no profanity, including the "n word" that many rappers loosely use.The album was first released on February 28, 2012. It reportedly sold 70,499 copies in its opening week. Although Cudi finds the marketing and promotion of the album weak by Universal Music Group, it landed the number three spot on the album sales chart. Universal Music Group also allegedly under-shipped copies of the album. While "Dose of Dopeness" was released prior to the release of WZRD, it was not featured on the album. Personal life Omishore has one daughter. Among his favorite albums of all time are Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, Dr. Dre's The Chronic, Outkast's ATLiens, and Coldplay's Viva la Vida. His tools of choice include the Roland MV-8000, Korg Triton LE, Yamaha Motif ES8, and Logic Pro 8. In September 2014, American singer-songwriter Jhene Aiko, revealed she and Omishore were in a relationship. The couple often has conversations on twitter, something that is loved by their fans.
