IlekeHD: Which days are you talking about? You mean our days? The Ambode guy looks like he's here to mess up all of Fashola's work. I remember watching his pre-election debate with Agbaje, I wasn't really impressed Agbaje was really eloquent and came up brilliant ideas but he was a fffff.oooooo.lll so fv.ck his Ideas But I'll still give Ambode some time though,I think its still too early to rate him.The Governor of Lagos is like the Governor of Nigeria so he has a lot on his shoulders |

Aareonakakanfo: Omg mo n ta rayman legends lori ps4 nisisiyi. There's one level I can't win. ughhh. (don't have the other two). At least gimme the year nau. How can we stop the victimization of non-white color (lawyer, doctors, etc) jobs in Yorubaland? i.e supporting sports, arts, museum etc. |

quimicababes: We've also got to take population into consideration....but wowwwwww @ those stats. |
Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by Nobody: 5:58am On Nov 10, 2015 |
IlekeHD: No be population...some of those states have similar or lower population...those governors are just not fiscally sound. .Osun doing a budget at 201 billion with a revenue stream of 60 billion no be population but madness. Can't even call it a deficit budget...cuz its ridiculous.Yes you want to develop the state but not by plunging it into heavy debt...especially for capital projects dt no bring in income initially. 2 Likes |

The worst part of it is that 5 out of the 6 South-west states are on Red(Shortfalls) and some Yoruba otondos be jumping on biafran threads insulting romanis forgetting our own issues.Awon otondo meji They won't talk about their own issues, instead they jump around the whole place calculating Anambra figures whether it's higher than that of South-west states. Some of our people no dey shame Iya Agba we can make non white-collar jobs look cool if we can modernise them. Its all about packaging. If you want to be a carpenter, be an educated carpenter. The victimization of sport prospects has reduced drastically now that parents know how much their kids can make as footballers 2 Likes |

Aareonakakanfo: I believe by now, after several political successes and failures, Yorubas would reflect on the import of the phrase "Oba mewa, Igba mewa". Let's get away from the mindset of comparing and start demanding for delivery. Fashola had what he was good for and Ambode has what he is good for. The two are never going to perform at same level but each must deliver what he has withing his capability to make happen. What we want is a build up so each successor picks up at value point a and delivers at value point z for the incoming administration to build more value on. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I'm so pained by the stats above with respect to Osun state. Osun state's fiscal policies need a complete overhaul. Aregbe, though has some good plans and policies in place, lacks the intellectual wherewithal to manage a financially decrepit state like Osun. No doubt, he has failed the people of the state. 1 Like |

Thanks quimicababes, you've contributed immensenly to this thread. To me, that table is an eyesore. Osun State sits in the last on the table. My dear Osun State. Aregbesola, may Sango punish you this morning for putting that state into mess. Your economic team you brought from Lagos did a very bad job. Osun guys have been running that state successfully until you brought your quack economists from Lagos. Senate need to pass a law that will take solid minerals from FG's non-exclusive list. Illegal miners are smiling to the bank now while states are languishing in poverty. FG need to encourage states to look inward. That will control illegal mining and push state governors to look for investors because they know what are going to get monthly from mining of the solid minerals in their states. Say 35% for FG, 35% for Investor and 30% for States(20% for States and 10% for LGs). Something needs to be done urgently before Nigeria becomes another Zimbabwe. 1 Like |
