Morning Bro. I don't think it's the norm there, I mean the first come first serve ish. I know barely little about the female hostels so I'm referring to male hostels oh. I paid late and I was still given mentor hostel which, to me, was very OK. Maybe you should state clearly what your hostel preferences are. As in, regarding the advantages you were referring to. Stay blessed.

You got the message clearly....I will like to build a daily routine while being there and would so much like an hostel very close to school to avoid racing up and down like most people would do....I just want an hostel no far from campus....Morning sire...how was your night?

Mentor hostel takes like 15 minutes of walk to campus gate. In fact, 15 minutes is too much. Most of us then, especially me, weren't always prepared for classes even while it was obvious that BCPites had one of the most convenient time-tables in CDL(By convenient I mean they always didn't have early lectures). As a result of our lazy or maybe sluggish attitude, we always ended up rushing to campus. We would barely use 10 minutes rushing there. Mentor hostel is also not too far to most of the places where predites go to read during the day and overnight e.g. Christ Elites, C.A.C., DLCF, RCF, and others.

To be on a safer side, i would advise to adhere strictly to the instructions given by CDL. For them to have quoted this "You can commence with your payment, if you have a complete O'Level", simply put, they mean business. On the contrary, you can as well Visit CDL on or before the deadline for payment runs out, or preferably you can get in touch with any ex predites here on this forum so as to get a clearly stated or certain reply, if mine isnt helpful enough. Muhammad was an ex predite i meet on the day i wrote my entrance examination. Being an inquisitive person,I almost drain him with questions....He was just as passionate as you were,he was a very nice orator with a deep sense of listening. He gave me few tips,my getting to know about "Foreign linkagers" (lol) can all be traced to him,he was also the one who told me the name of the best student then by the name "FEMI." It was a nice afternoon and he killed it off with his nice humour by giving me instances of those who are ( Raju and Farhan) of cdl who would quick
y go to the score board very early once the resultbarebpasted and strike out their name with ink beyond recognition....Did you ever came across such funny scene?

Lool. Don't mind him joor. It was by God's grace I was the highest. I'm not worth it. I used to come back the next day to check the results well and that's when I used to see some names already cancelled out. I was always very scared, nevertheless, I always relied on God. Hope your friend got his dream course?
