abode: Nice, your mother is good to go if you can give us more information, like who is her financial sponsor? Whoever it is should include a six months bank statement(original copy) especially if it is from a Nigerian Bank, evidence of income(original) e.g business registration, tax documents, business contract documents, property deeds(photocopy) also include evidence of relationship to her sponsor e.g marriage certificate and family photos if your father is sponsoring, she can add her own business documents(original) and bank statement. 1 Like |

xtraodinaire: Your company's tax certificate alone will do and you don't need to submit the whole three years, your latest tax certificate will be ok. This is if the business is your only source of income. |

a4avoke:Yes that will do but....dont cross more than one line on top of it, just a line will do then write your current passport number beside it. Then make a note of a line or two explaining why you cancelled the previous number. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by travelland(f): 8:48pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
Twostep: Your sponsor does not have to share the same surname with you, but there should be evidence of genuine relationship between you two. He will need to submit all the necessary documents required for sponsorship, you can cross check from www.gov.uk or You can also try to be more specific about your sponsor's occupation for us to help you You will need to submit your own bank statement to increase your chances of getting your visa. However, in your case it seems you do not have considerable funds in your account, it will be difficult for you to convince them about the genuineness of your intention to travel and return back home |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by travelland(f): 8:54pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
freshtoast: The refusals in your passport will raise a bit of concern for the ECO, you can however clarify it by writing a detailed letter of explanation (a lawyer can also help in clarifying this in writing) you should also include a detailed letter of purpose for your intended trip. This is of course is to be done with the inclusion of all necessary required documents |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 8:55pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
Twostep: Your chances of getting a visa is very remote because you don't have tie to Nigeria. |

abnot: Hello, you travel history seems good. If you are sponsoring your self, include all evidence of the incomes you have stated here. It seems money from your dad is your major source of income? He can also be your financial sponsor if you choose. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by abnot: 9:33pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
travelland: Okay. Thanks. However as a working adult don't you think it will be hard to justify why my dad should sponsor my trip ? |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 7:28am On Nov 11, 2015 |
pampem: Start by filling your application. No one can fill your income and expenditure for you, but we can only advise you when we see your budget breakdown. Your Budget must commensurate with your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria. Therefore it is advisable to always prepare a mini budget. Since you have a budget of N800k. Tell us you and your Husband's Monthly Income and closing balance? 1 Like |

[quote author=justwise post=39862796] Yes he did all these without my consent I only got to know about the details after he had secured interview appointment for, then I was mailed details to prepare for the interview. I knew about the fake details at a point were I had already committed funds to the endeavour. |

The refusal is not on the passport- US embassy dont stamp a refusal to your passport. its just that when filling aout my UK application i indicated that i was twice denied US visa....what information may i detail in the letter. the purpose of my intended trip is to study, i already have a conditional admission offer and have paid deposit tuition fees and have a valid CAS statement... everything about my uk trip is in order, i'm just concerned about my past history with US immigration travelland: |

Ewilliam2015: Why were you refused the visa? It's important you addressed the first refusal before submission of another application. |

Ewilliam2015: Do not get fixated on an invitation, you do not need that. (book hotel) The two BIG things are Strong ties to return home after your visit. Sufficient funds for the trip and reliable income. 1 Like |

I got my visa today. Am so happy. I applied again after d first one was rejected. I stated emphatically that my Tbills means funds which is readily available to me and that probably the ECO overlooked it. Now I want to ask, must I use d hotel I used in my aplication? I intend booking another one again. Tnx all for your responses. |

Hello Justwise I have lodge the spouse refusal appeal for my husband here in the UK and the tribunal have taken the fee of £140 last two weeks. Please how long does it take to hear back from them if the ECO will overturn the decision or it will go to court. Thank You |

freshtoast: My apologies for the statement. I have only been granted US visa not refused so I assumed it is stamped as they do in UK. Yes, eyebrows will be raised by the UK ECO regarding your refusal especially if your reason for refusal involves discrepancies. You may think everything is in order but I can point a few things that do not appear as such. Your previous attempts to travel to US recently, was it for visit or study purpose? If it is for study then you stand a much better chance of convincing the UK Eco as it is in line with your present purpose of visit, however if it was in the tourist category then you are only raising suspicions regarding your real intention of visiting. The ECO may likely think you are trying all means to leave the country. If I was in your shoes, I will have applied for the same category of visa I choose in my US application or allow a period of at least two to three years before applying, that way I will appear more genuine. But all hope is not lost, use a letter from a lawyer to explain the US refusals in detail. Another way is just write a very detailed letter of purpose, if the refusals were not under study category(avoid mentioning it in the letter, as they can already see it in your form). Give reasons why you choose UK for study and the particular course, tell them your goal and how the course will help you actualize it. Make sure you tell them your intention to return to the country at the completion of your course(and pray your application is treated by an empathetic ECO). |

abnot: It is not hard because of the fact that he is your dad, also since you already have a travel history and your dad may have sponsored you at some point it is unlikely you will have issues. You can also sponsor yourself if you want, but how do you intend to explain the inflow of money from your father your account? You can decide to get a letter of sponsorship and all necessary business documents from him, as you are still receiving the bulk of your income from him. Also include evidence of your job and your finances |
