stagger: Freedom is priceless and come at great sacrifice. Biafrans have sacrificed more than that in the past. We are no strangers to the extent those who force co Existence can go, we have been there and back, we are well aware of their brutality and their demonic disposition . You can as well look for pics of malnourished and dead Biafran children and post, your fellow Arewa-Oduanistanis have been doing that, and there are also many videos of the horrors of Biafran war on U tube, most of us have seen those too. How many Biafrans were massacred in the far North all the way down to makurdi? What about those at Bini and Asaba? The gist is that your scare mongering tactics will not work. What mattered was that in the end, Croatia became a free country, free from Serbians, all those sacrifices were worth it, and future Croatians will ever be proud of their fore runners, who paid for their freedom with Blood. Come Peace, come war, the only thing that matters is that: In the end Biafra will stand. 5 Likes |

Op u are indeed an uneducated crazy man, y do u think we lack unemployment in d southeast zone, y no light and good roads, y must we come to the north in search of greener pasture, y are most northern states more develop than S/E states when they contribute nothing to the economy, op u are too foolish for my liking, u are thinking like a yoloba man, when brafra succeed in getting its independent, foreign companies will rush to invest here, shell will have to abandon Nigeria government and invest in brafra land, there will be enough work for we,Nigerians will have to troop into briafraland for greener pasture. 4 Likes |

@op, u couldn't have put it better than this, even it applies to the whole Nigerian state, what we need is change of our mindsets, every local govt and state are responsible for whoever emerges as chairman or governor, if those elected officials are mismanaging the little allocation from fg, this same pple will run biafra state with the same mindset, hence the revolution should start from within. Most electorate was aware of financial blunders of the last regime, but it was pple of this region(South East) that was clamoring for it to continue to 2019, yet 2nd Niger bridge remain a Mirage. 2 Likes |

CrazyMan: IPOB does not represent the interest of well meaning South Easterners. IPOB is a group of touts clamouring for what they don't know. IPOB is a scam! They are jobless untamed touts brainwashed with the rewards for better living and government positions if Biafra is realised. I advise that Nnamdi Kalu should strictly be dealt with for his misguided media utterances and sow of seed of bitterness and rancour amongst gullible Igbo youths. If Nigeria would be divided, it should not be by triggering mayhem among a particular ethnic group against the government in power rather, it should be the consensus of southern part of Nigeria just like South & North Korea. I advise they stop this nonsense to avoid loss of more valuable lives in the south east. For your information, I am a full blooded Igbo Man! 3 Likes |

EUROBOMBER:and the worst part is that these protesters (ipob or whatever) constitute mainly of okada-riders, agberos' and some bunches of unemployed frustrated ignorant youths. Someone who has something reasonable doing will not leave behind wat puts food on his table to join some miscrants in their misguided course. I over-heard a man the other day at a hospital reception telling a friend that he actually came to treat himself of general body pains and bruises he sustained during rally. I was forced to ask the man if he was given money for the hospital care and all that, and he said no. That he hopes that when their dreams are actualize and biafran becomes reality, that his suffering will be no more. This same man cannot boast of an O' level cert. Now tell me, how will he survive?. The bible say that my people perish for lack of knowledge and that is exactly the problem with these Ipob whatever. Sorry for quoting u to make my point. 1 Like |

CrazyMan: It is unfortunate I saw this trash late 1) You talked about bad leadership but failed to talk about the system that protects them Start a peaceful protest against Okorocha and see Northern soldiers deployed to kill protesters. 2) You talked about allocation but failed to talk about how SE is being cheated of her wealth. Today Abia State can't dredge Azunmi river because the money realised from the sale of her gas and oil is controlled by Northerners in Abuja. Who in turn gives her a fraction of her wealth. 3) You talked about job creation in Biafra but failed to realise that many Easterners are big time importers whose businesses will be helped by Biafran government to encouraged their customers build their factories on Biafran soil. CSTR2: Correct! And permit me to add that "The LEADERSHIP is a very true reflection of the gullibility, selfishness, self-centredness, cheapness and ignorance level of the FOLLOWERSHIP...... We Nigerians"! *Or are we not the ones propping up thieves and calling them the best thing after slice-bread? *Look at the those of us applauding Fayose.... whose only accomplishment in office is "eating roasted plantain on the roadside"! *Look at those applauding Fani Kayode whose only gift is the ability to run his diarrhoea mouth at anyone above him *Are we not the ones applauding thieves like "Stealler" Oduah and voted them as Sin-nators? *Are we not the ones who carry machette to kill ourselves on behalf of same Politicians that loot us to the bones? *Are we not the ones that will vote for a mediocre, simply because he is from our "tribe' or "religion"? So, as long as we retain the above mentalities, we will keep producing "such leaders" within the system and we would keep paying a heavy price for our stewpidity! Its no rocket-science........ damton: At this point in time, no one can actually give an accurate description of what Biafra will look like because it is not certain how many of the minorities will elect in a referendum to leave with Igbos into Biafra and those who prefare to stay back in Nigeria. We do not want to force anyone into Biafra against their will the way Lugard came to force all of us into Nigeria. What is certain is that we Igbos are leaving so I will answer your question based on just Igbos. 1]The economic base of Igbos is quite good. 3 Igbo States, Imo,Abia and Anambra are currently oil producing. Huge Gas deposits in Anambra and Delta-Igboland. Strong trade and commerce base in Onitsha,Aba and Nnewi. Huge solid mineral deposits such as coal and limestone in Enugu and the Agricultural potential of Ebonyi. 2]Biafrans working in the private sector in Nigeria don't necessarily have lose their jobs. Every civilised country in the world can issue work permit to non citizens. Should Nigeria choose not to do so to Biafrans then those who lose their jobs should return home to join hands in building Biafra. Nobody said that freedom comes easy 3]1 has answered this 4]In international law, anyone is allowed to own and control properties and investments anywhere in the world. If the Government of Nigeria decides to be vindictive and deny Biafrans access or control of their investments then Biafrans should sell up and head home. No amount of outside investments is worth the sovereignty of Igbos. 5]I want the mainstay of Biafra to be manufacturing. I want Biafran products to be in the shops of Japan, America and Europe. 6] this is a repeat question. I want to say that the issue of Biafra has always been a peaceful, legitimate and democratic one. It is Nigeria that had always brought war and violence into the issue of Biafra. Nobody wants war. We want a referendum so that everybody can decide where they stand. War will only come if the Nigerian Government decides not to give the people a voice to express themselves. 1 Like |

I believe you lack experience and i am beginning to think you are not an igbo. well i am not blaming you because Nigeria have stopped teaching history. Then you ask yourself. Why did Nigeria stop teaching history?. Even our Grand parent teach us our roots and the families we are from. What kind of a country can stop teaching history to its Citizens. A country made up of lies, a country that is afraid of the truth thats what nigeria is about. They talk of unity. Obasanjo ruled the country for eight years. Musa died and Jonathan Ruled for six years and the country all planned to stop him from second tenure. Buhari is now ruling, igbos have not ruled, and PDP is already planning to bring an hausa man again to rule in 2019. APC/PDP are all the same. Apc emerged victorious because it was a deliberate attempt to stop zonal strategy of ruling. and if you understood what i said you will understand it was an attempt to stop any igbo man from emerging a party candidate. ask an hausa/yoruba if they want an igbo man as president. you will get over my dead body as a reply. You should understand you have already been suffering for 55years. what about the River Niger bridge. why is it taken Nigeria years upon years to do something about that bridge but They spent Money upon Money to fight boko-haram. Biafran have come to stay. we had notting to fight the war back then but The war lasted for 3years not to talk of now we are ready to fight the war. A last warning to Nigeria. 1 Like |

I'm ashamed of this writeup and the auto, any man who's afraid to take his own destiny into his hand is not worthy to call a man. The disadvantages you mentioned here is observed all over the region in nigeria not just SE, and I believe each region/tribe will be better managed and show their potentials if this country is disintegrated. For you to think that the Igbo/Biafra will not stand or continue to depend on Nigeria shows how gullible you are, falling to realize that those office/establishments which you think that are beneficial to Igbos/Biafra will be created as in independent state. You need to travel outside this country for once, even some of the so called small nations/countries within sub-saharan Africa has better infrastructure than your so called big country Nigeria. So, in conclusion your analysis/ observations in your article are more reasons why the Igbos/Biafra need secession from Nigeria. |
