Seems all the yoruba reps in this new cabinet are o younger generation, apart from Lai Mohammed. I hope Lai Mohammed will not kill us with propaganda. |

superstar1: O yes! Superstar baba is indeed from Osun Just playing around sir. It is to be expected Lai will cover up for the APC government at the federal level wherever they gaffe or perform inadequately. 4 years is not enough to resolve corruption not to mention prosecute or recover loots. 4 years is not enough to fix economic, roads, gas, housing etc problems as bad as everything got after the last administration. APC will use propaganda to 'achieve' most of its promises. |

zimoni: Just copy the link to the video and paste it here. There's no special way to go about it. Shymm3x Duke, I've seen that Rotimi dude in a number of videos and I think he's in 50's 'Power' mini episodes. I didn't know he is Yoruba until I saw that lotto video on Worldstarhiphop. |

9jacrip: Lol. You are not serious. We need to see something something tangible from them before they can have our votes in 2019. Going by the calamity of a governor we have in Osun, I will never touch APC with the long pole. He can use propaganda to wake up the dead. Unfortunately, the citizens are educated but not exposed. They accept his propaganda hook line and sinker. Looking at it the other way around, at least Fash, Amosun and Ajimobi are from the same party. 1 Like |

superstar1: E ma binu o egbon mi, I was hoping you would catch the humour and not get offended. Such a cool person APC has a solid propaganda machine, those folks sabi lie and arouse emotion based loyalty from their supporters even in the face of obvious facts. I've always thought party does not necessarily make good governance but individuals do. Awa ara Osun APC should forget Osun in the next election. While the Amosuns and the Fasholas were putting things to work, uncle Aregbe was making a porridge out of Osun while taking whiffs of his porridge from his helicopter he flies around the state. |
Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by jstbeinhonest(m): 11:07am On Nov 12, 2015 |
Honestly,I hope PDP wins Osun come 2018.It would be an insult on the people if Aregbe continues this way and APC is still re-elected.Aregbe hasn't completed any capital project this 8 republic.I am just glad he has paid salaries. |

Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by DollyParton1(f): 11:12am On Nov 12, 2015 |
jstbeinhonest:I am beginning to see Osun's case as spiritual. First it was Oyinlola and now Aregbe. I think the rulling party should have been switched in Osun as Oyinlola was leaving office. |
Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by DollyParton1(f): 11:15am On Nov 12, 2015 |
9jacrip: Errmmm I disagree. Amosun is not doing shït in Ogun state. Aside the expansion of some major roads. Most of the roads in the capital city are bad. Dude rode in on Fashola's glory. |
Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by Nobody: 11:17am On Nov 12, 2015 |
DollyParton1: Propaganda again I guess? Going by the stories in the news over investors and photos of housing projects shared on this thread earlier. |
Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superstar1(m): 11:22am On Nov 12, 2015 |
9jacrip: I was not angry now. I got the joke. Aregbe successfully 419-ed Osun State. I have never been his fan because I saw through his lies and deceit ab initio. I knew most of his policies were not sustainable. For almost 5years, you can not point to just 1major project he completed. APC generally has a freakingly effective propaganda machine in place. 1 Like |
Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by DollyParton1(f): 11:24am On Nov 12, 2015 |
9jacrip: Its all just propaganda. Nothing is happening in Ogun state as far as I know. I think most people voted Amosun in in Ogun state because of what Fashola was doing in Lagos state. Actually Amosun did hit the ground running in his first tenure. And then he slacked... All those news of foreign investors is just news. Yet to see any of those fully on ground. 1 Like |

DollyParton1: Oh well, sad. I wonder how long we will continue to get fed with propaganda by our elected officials. If what you're saying is true then it makes me sad - too many posts have been put up here connecting Amosun to one laudable project or the other. I think it is time we stopped cheering to a project on news paper and start verifying if it is indeed on ground. 1 Like |

DollyParton1: It was switched, Oyinlola was PDP, Aregbe was ACN then, it was the "exit" of OBJ that lumped them together. Aregbe did well in his 1st term but the gods deafened & blinded him in his 2nd term..... He is on a one way ticket to political oblivion....... But God forbid Omisore rule Ijesa land, the soul of Bola Ige will hunt us... Osun's fortune is not even looking good cos on both sides, i can't see anybody worth drying out & getting sunburnt for... @ tupacshaker, Kare awe ... |

superstar1: I knew you weren't, I was just sharing what was on my mind before your last post to me. I wonder why he has not been impeached or stoned to death? Oh at the latter, he is always flying chopper so stoning is not possible. The road expansion from Osogbo towards Okuku is lying fallow. Riad expansion at Gbongan has 'tiaun'. The bridge at Gbongan is fast constituing nuisance along the road. Implemented education policy has long fallen on its face. Aregbe ti ba nkan je gan o 2 Likes |

modath: Iya mi, e jo, what did Aregbe do in his first term o? His first term was the beginning of downturn for Osun. Other than the road network and flower planting, dude did not do chit in his first term o. Se first term that he overturned the policy put in place by Oyinlola to run the state university that now has the school struggling to stay afloat? Eran ni Aregbe o, infact, he is giving Ijesa people a bad name. Ijesa folks are known to be brilliant and successful in whatever field they are but mehn Aregbe ti ba ile je. Eyin Ijesa will have to support whatever candidate Ife brings apart from maybe Omisore o but going by the votes he amassed during the last election and edi to mu Aregbe right now, if Omisore vies again, he may win o. 1 Like |

9jacrip: Yea, I thought he was doing something in Ogun state too until I visited last year, and saw things for myself. Example is the Ultramodern shopping Complex/mall proposed since 2012 or so. I remember it gained a lot of publicity, people were excited, was also excited. I even called Egba to ask my people about it. The proposed site (that was formerly a government secretariat) for the complex has been vacated by the government offices since about a year now. The place has been partly demolished for over a year now and that's it. Nothing else is going on there. Am sure dude will soon come up with another project idea again, gain publicity, people talk about it, and that's all. Nothing more after that. And the cycle continues like that. 1 Like |

Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by DollyParton1(f): 11:51am On Nov 12, 2015 |
modath:My bad. I thought Oyinlola was AD. I think we should stop voting in Governors for second term in South West. These dudes always end up bleeding the states dry during their second terms. Come to think of it, Osun state no just luck when it comes to governors. Oyinlola na tout. Aregbe na rascal. Wonder who is coming up next. Area boy? My beautiful Osun people need to wake up. |

modath: By Oyo speaking you mean the Iwo, Ikire, Ikoyi, Apomu, Gbongan, Ode Omu, Modakeke, Ede, Inisa, Okuku --->> He recorded solid votes from all these places apart from Modakeke which we expected Ijesa - Ipetu Ijesa, Ilesa, Esa and Esa Oke, Iree and other tiny Ijesa towns spread across? DollyParton1: Oyin embezzled and did not touch the roads but he at least was able to erect and run a university without strikes or owed salaries to local and even professors from outside Naija until Aregbe came and all professors began to flee. Oyinlola kept the state running, let's give him that. |
Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by Nobody: 11:59am On Nov 12, 2015 |
DollyParton1: Lol @ the emboldened. Sounds like what a con man would do. As someone rightly suggested, we should stop 2 term supports for elected officers, 4 years is enough to focus on an area and excel upon it. I hope Ogun has a better replacement sha. 1 Like |

9jacrip: I do say it to the faces of most of their party top echelon in the state whenever I am in the state. Atimes they admit that they messed up. They always say Aregbe is stubborn and does not listen to others. I can assure you that with 50bn Aregbe would have turned around the fortune of State, if he was sincere enough. He could have spread the repayment for 7-8years with a maximum monthly repayment of 600m. Effectively, he would have completed major projects and also have enough for salary payment and daily operational exigencies. I did the analysis of 50bn for them and they had to agree with me that they messed up. With that amount, his impact on education, agriculture, health, tourism and infrastructure would have been forever. |
