Did you prepare your application yourself or someone else did?
I prepared it myself with the help of my uncle that is inviting me.

If all your documents are genuine then you got nothing to worry about.

Are going to visit somebody in the UK or you booked hotel accommodation?

I am staying with my. uncle

@teams4040,
Please confirm what amount you indicated as your hubbys cost of hotel and yours. am aware you used same hotel reservation . Would also appreciate the other breakdown too just to compare. Thanks

Let me reiterate that cost of accommodation should be £0

For my wife and two boys.

The cost of accommodation: £0 for all three of them (visa issued)

Standard room for four persons.

All you need is book a room suitable for the numbers of applicants and submit evidence of the booking in each application.

Ok, such delay happens when there is one or two things about your application that doesn't seem right, so they have to investigate more.

As stated by Prof. Justwise, if your documents are 100% genuine, you have nothing to worry about. But if there is fraud or willful misrepresentation in application, you will be refused and ban 10 years.

Be detailed about it.

Please FrontPageLawyer and Justwise have a look!

The decision..

1. You have stated on your application that you are single and as the director of XYZ Nigeria Limited and earn 250k per month. You have provided as evidence company registration documents, a tax document, company bank statements and personal bank statements, I also note that your claim income is reflected in the bank statements provided in your name from UBA; however I am not satisfied that you have provided sufficient evidence to confirm the trading activities of the company or the deposits shown in the coys bank statement from Zenith bank and First Bank, I am therefor not satisfied that your financial circumstances are as stated

2. As evidence of your funds, you have submitted personal bank statements from First Bank and UBA, First bank with s closing balance of 1.1m, on the 27/09/2015. However, I note that there are a number of unexplained deposits shown in the account, for example, 800k was credited to your account on 18/09/2015. These deposit are inconsistent with the account history and your stated income. You may have not provided any evidence as to the origin of these deposits. I note that these deposits are also not shown as debits from the company bank accounts provided from First bank and Zenith. I am therefore not satisfied that these funds are genuinely available.

..........

My take on this is.

For decision 1, I am into poultry farming majorly, I deal mostly with market women and my workers can barely write, we really don't issue receipts for sales. I have tippers too that supply different type of sand for building, every weekend money is deposited by the drivers into the coy account, so no receipt for this.

For decision 2, I submitted two personal account, UBA AND FIRST BANK, My personal account in first bank, is like a saving and expenditure account for me, I use to receive non business related payments, gift from friends and families and general payments.

Now I am thinking Should I reapply?

Then I could add some sales receipt , must it be 6 months?

I could take off my personal account statement with first bank and just use my UBA personal account statement with a closing balance of 1.2m ?

Thanks

Your application was refused because the ECO was not satisfied that your claimed income N250k, even though it reflected in your bank statement was generated from your business. That means the funds in your account does not commensurate with your business as stated in your application.

You can reapply, only if you have addressed the issue raised by the ECO. You must include contract documents, transaction receipts, sale and purchase receipts, your poultry documents, licence to operate a hatchery and other documents which can proof as your ties to Nigeria.

Because your staffs are illiterate is not enough reason as a business owner not to keep sales and purchase records, receipts, invoices and what have you.

The main problem here was the deposit of the 800k to your account. The Visa officer discovered that large deposits like that were not deposit to your account before. Based on that the officer concluded that the statement does not show true financial position of you or that of the company. The cash was deposited to the account for the purpose of visa. The officer might be wrong but any reasonable person will think that way, me too.

It's called money lodgement. Do you have paper evidence for this deposit?

No it was not because of VISA, I have even used the money, money come and go from my first bank personal account. I could take away the first bank account statement and just use my UBA acct statement of abt 1.2m, my uba is just showing my monthly income of 250k from my business and a 50k monthly debit.

None, I could take out that bank statement and just go with my uba. As for sales receipt, I will have to be issuing receipt now, sales are done everyday, will i have to submit all the receipt for the 6months or can just pick out few.

Please read your refusal letter again. "These deposit are inconsistent with the account history and your stated income. You may have not provided any evidence as to the origin of these deposits"

You must provide proof of funds otherwise your application will be refused again.

Sales and purchase receipts, invoices, contract paper e.t.c that is what is required.

Whether company or personal account. The ECO is interested to see proof/source/origin/evidence of funds.

@travelland,
Thanks a lot. Understood. No huge lodgement. It's matured tbills and ain't ready for roll over as rate is very low now.

If I may ask, the cost of living expense and fund available to dependants should be less than your monthly salary right?
Then other fields not stated GBP specifically can be reported in NGN?
And ones breakdown must be equal to the total fund available for the trip?
Please revert.

Yes, exactly.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by xtraodinaire: 8:28pm On Nov 12, 2015
Hello all.

I have been following this thread and reading up on the processes. I made a bulk transfer (950k) from my company account to my personal account which is lower than the budget for the trip (budget is between 2000 and 2500 pounds for 10days). But then a client made a transfer to my personal account (780k) from his own personal account. Will this transaction affect my chances . Also I do not pay myself a monthly salary so I am not sure how much I should fill in the income field.

Here are the documents I have ready:

Company registration documents
Company Tax certificates (2years)
Company bank statement (6months bal. 550k)
Personal bank statement (6months bal 1.4m)
Hotel Booking.

I plan to drop my application at the beginning of next month.

Kindly look at my last question as per expenses.
Does it mean that your expenses should not sum up to the total money available for the trip,? But should be equal to the cost to you personally? Pls assist with this .

Your expenses should sum up to the total money available for the trip

Hi Everyone

One final question before I click submit. I want to include additional information explaining financial circumstances and what not. Should I include this in the additional info tab and still repeat in a cover letter or just put a cover letter and say in the additional info tab "please refer to cover letter attached to application". Apologies if this appears to be a silly question.

Not a silly question. Better you explain in the “additional information” if space permits and do same in the cover letter. Either way is fine.
