lygn19:The bolded are issues the likes of Truckpusher should be talking about and not out right rejection and wailing. The ideals of Biafra should be about autonomy and the equality of all regions and citizens alike. I hate it when people use oil as a yardstick to measure freedom. The prosperity of a nation should be its human resources and not otherwise. No one even knows what may turn out to be the main export earner of the republic. In the next 30 years, oil would definitely lose its value. And the area that is detest because of its non-oil contributions may end up being the economic/scientific heartbeat of the republic for another century. Hope no one will cry Igbo domination then. 1 Like 1 Share |

bolanto24: I don't get it too. I know people like TonyeBarcanista believe PDP will come back and fix Nigeria, and he's even excited that Igbos might get VP in PDP with an Northern President in 2019. What he doesn't know is that Igbos can dump PDP and negotiate with APC to support a Buhari's second term, paving for SE President earlier than PDP can manage. But in the end, what's does profit to be a President in Nigeria? Take a look at the North! Biafra is the hope! 11 Likes |

Bolanto24 u are a Bayelsa guy, Biafra apart u know there are igbos in the Southsouth, pretending like yoi dont know or denying it is your own cup of tea. The days when Igbos want our oil uses to hold sway in Ijaw land was when it was only riverine areas companies searched for oil which happened to be Ijaw areas but as time went on things changed. Let me tell u how to know someone who is greedy and wants anybody's oil. They would say; - Igbos are free to leave with there 5southeast states but not with the oil rich igbo regions in the SS. -any igbo from the SS that accepts that is Igbo is fake and he came from the east. -they would be opening threads on how to kill igbos or how igbos they hate them but have this pretentious love for Igbos in the SS, asif they can differentiate the two . 8 Likes 1 Share |

@Op I'll advice you to carry this message outside nairaland, preach it offline, Facebook, Twitter, etc. facts is that majority of Ijaws, ikwere are in support of this realistic struggle don't mind the few delusional minds here because I can assure you that all we need is to break out of this hopeless entity and any tribe in support of this and wish to join us are welcomed as a family. if 90% are with us then who are those 10% when the majority has spoken? they can live in Nigeria with their families if they love that one Nigeria much. if you can observe they are not the only SS in this forum but they are only SS with delusional minds and unrealistic mind due to their long grudge and hate for the Igbos i can prove that with posts from one of them long time ago. so you see hate has beclouded their minds but I call them inconsequential elements because they can't even speak for their kinsmen talk more of tribe. forget about them i strongly believe that biafra will be a better place because everything will be put to agreement. kanu keeps saying it times without number the most important thing is to get out first. thanks 10 Likes 1 Share |

PointB:And what is the guarantee that your 90% will come into fruition? Show me IPOB/Biafra road map, policies, economic model and basic ideology of a nationhood. Also show me the documentations, references and their various signatories that were drawn from the different ehtnicity that makes up the Biafra. Just show me one thing why I should believe you here - because if you don't have it ......... don't you think it is better to remain in servitude than running away just on the promises of an Eldorado from an unlikely friend or a brother that has shown time without numbers that he is capable of enslaving you too. Show me one thing....either by ideology or your love for these people. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Truckpusher: You're entitled to associate with whomsoever you wish. That's your right as guaranteed under the UN Charter. IPOB mainly concerns Igbo speaking areas and any willing group especially in former Eastern region. It's not a do-or-die affair for you to embrace IPOB especially since you and your cohorts arrogantly and mischievously declared that there are no Igbos in the SS. So, whatever plans you've got under your sleeves don't let it encroach an inch into Igbo speaking areas. 10 Likes |

I'll probably lose a few things myself in case Biafra becomes a reality, a sacrifice I'm willing to make, but would rather not make given a better option. 1 Like |

bolanto24:We are 100% in support of Biafra but it won't just work until they drop their expansionist agenda. How can you give me resource control and autonomy et al when you're already claiming that 90% of my arable land belongs to you which you must take at all cost ,you must be kidding me bro. if u guys are smart enough to know u would discover that unlike people from other regions we igbos are not a warring tribe, we believe in democracy and a referendum, before now when the igbos had influence in the Nigeria project whenever anybody felt sm dissatisfaction and they wanted to leave a referendum would be held just as what happened in the mid west, if like the midwest was still part of the west and had advocated for autonomy after the civil war, when the yoruba/hausa/fulani alliance now held sway I can tell u that soldiers would have started marching towards the midwest. Anybody who thinks we igbos want there oil or is dragging there land with them we would bebate it openly, then when we are done a referendum would be held on the land thats causing problem. 3 Likes |

Truckpusher: Actually, I'm in no position to give guarantees, as I'm not a member of the inner caucus. That's why I insist that you can easily negotiate and get close to 90% in Biafra (a new nation) than in the present Nigeria. But the only thing I can say for certain is that Igbos have no agenda to enslave you, and there is no proof of previous enslavement. I can't also claim that I love Ijaws, but I have no reason to hate them either. Biafra movement is not motivated by love or hatred for Ijaws, but by desire for something much better and different from Nigeria. You just have to believe you won't be worse off, and then take a leap of faith. Fear is one factor that prevent people from reaching their potential. In your case, ii is the fear of an illusory domination by Igbos to the extent you want to remain in servitude in Nigeria. If Jacob's children had thought like you, they wouldn't have left Egypt where they were slaves. But if you truly believe that you are better off in servitude Nigeria than potentially getting a better deal in Biafra, I'll say good luck! 3 Likes |

lygn19:When you lay claim to opobo, bonny and Port Harcourt as far as Ogba,Egbema,Ndoni,Etche and Ikwerre as belonging to the South East what were you trying to get at? When you started renaming Port Harcourt what were you trying to arrive at? Like I said ,it is only an Ijaw man who doesn't understand the historical importance of the civil war which the various ethnic groups of the Niger Delta were massacred in their thousands by both Nigerian soldiers and Biafran soldiers of Eastern extraction would go into any alliance with the Igbo man on the promises of a better deal that isn't on any solid documentation and full participation. I know you'll either abuse me or others will for sure , especially those NL resident Niger Delta anthropologist of Igbo extraction whose claim to know the origin of the Niger Delta people more than they do , which is simply sickening and a great insult that has been taken into account. Quick questions: Why do you refer to the Niger Delta people as traitors after you started a war they knew nothing about? Why did the old Eastern region reject the creation of Rivers state unlike the Western region agreed to the creation of the Mid West states which comprises of today's Delta and Edo states ? Why did the Eastern region arrest Isaac Adaka Boro after he declared Niger Delta republic and sentenced him to death in 1964 and only to declare Biafra republic in 1967 and wants him to fight alongside with them? 3 Likes 1 Share |

bolanto24: The truth remains Ijaws adopted the idea of igbos are their problems from yoruba media propagandist, forgetting that same people telling you that igbos are your problem are the enemies of ijaw nation , for an instant we saw what happened at Odi "Bayalsa State" during Obasonjo, we also saw how ken saro-wiwa was hanged along nine others for agitating for the freedom of Ogoni land come to think of it how many ijaws here can tell me how many times igbos has taking war to ijaws nation? or stolen from the ijaws nation ? i know some ppl will come here to talk igbos are land grabbers "yes" but mind you if one bought a piece of land from you, that is called business you sold your land for good money to solve your problem and money paid and recounted paid. igbos and ijaws should know that these ppl sowed this seed of discord between the ijaw and igbos to enhance them to archive their looting aim while the ijaws and igbos are busy fighting each other. 7 Likes |

bolanto24: You're right igbos don't hate Ijaws or SS even a bit we voted for Gej in the last election even at our own party's (apga) peril yet some scumbags opened their mouth to talk nonsense like "igbos voted Gej for personal interest" and this is the exact statement that is causing rifts in this forum. thank God for people like you and dearpreye for stating the realty and am confident that this is an exact opinion of an average ijaw or ND man. Igbos don't have any plans to marginalize anyone because we now know how it feels to be oppressed, we stood by Jonathan to the end and swore to sail or sink with him that's brotherly love. if we did it for self benefits you'll see igbos massively denying Gej when he lost and joining apc but we stood bu our word and damn the consequences. 6 Likes 1 Share |

opiaoku:It might interest you to know that the Niger Delta man lost his rights to his oil the day the Igbo man started a war he couldn't win and every part of this region was seen as a war booty. So continue mocking your own defeat even as you continuously give us more reasons to remain where we are - Had the war gone your way we wouldn't have had access to the oil still so it's a 50-50 situation for us. There is no difference between you and the Northerners and the Westerners - They simply ganged up and beat you in your own game and we the Niger Delta people became collateral damages. That is your shame and not ours - That other major tribes took away your younger brothers right under your watch as a result of your greed and recklessness is your shame my friend. Lol The Niger Delta is not under-developed because of 'parasitic Northerners'. It is under-developed because for some reason, Kleptocratic crooks keep getting elected as their leaders. The money flowing to the likes of Bayelsa, Rivers, delta and Akwa Ibom is more than enough to have massively improved those states. Alas, the people choose to celebrate crooks like Alams who steal them blind. As we speak, they are already preparing for welcome party for James Ibori, even as he serves out a jail term for mismanaging state resources 1 Like |
