Stella oduah was hounded for spending 255 million for bullet proof cars as a minister while Fashola who spent 78 million naira for a common website is hailed as the beacon of change undecided

Lets even do some analysis, isn't what Stella bought closer to the amount she spent, than what fashola spent in relation to what he got

In other words, isn't it easier to get away with 255 million for 2 bullet proof cars than it is to get away with 78 million naira for a brochure website any where in the world

Yet he got away, due to naijas never ending hypocrisy undecided

Practical example, BMW has a bullet proof X5 going for 110,000 pounds. multiply by two, that would be 220,000 pounds. that only resists ak47 shells but isn't blast proof. we can argue for sake of argument that blast proofing would increase the price tag and get the number closer to 500,000 pounds or more.

Now please tell me a brochure site that has ever been created for more than 500,000 naira before anywhere in the world. A brochure site is different from an application, which nairaland and facebook are and even those were created by young kids just meddling with what they loved.

So how is it that one was hounded and the other was not even question by the EFCC and allowed to sail into a ministry as a minster?

One was removed while being a minister, while the other is accepted even with a more obvious misappropriation case to answer to.

It just seems naija is filled with hyprocrites.

Now back to the praise singing of Fashola the change that will change ministry, mtcheew.

As always, for the love of country, this country will get better by fire by fore, but the hypocrites will answer one day, if not here then in the life beyond, mtcheew undecided

Facebook an application?

Your problem, is a clear lack of understanding.
Stella was booted not because of the amount she spent but because she spent money outside that wasn't budgeted for.
On the other hand, Fashola's website was captured in the budget.

Again I repeat, it has nothing to do with the amount but with the process and procedures. One played by the rules, the other didn't.
In other words it is alright to spend $1billion to develop a website so far it is captured in the budget.

Clap for yourself you are a genius.

Was Fashola's website contract inflated?.. YEs!
Was Oduah's bullet proof car contract inflated?.. YES

The difference in both cases is however very simple... Fashola committed his own immorality legally while Odua committed hers illegally.

Fashola got the full approval for the payment from his state HOA however Odua's request to buy those cars was REJECTED by the NASS but she still went ahead from the back to buy the cars and the cars were eventually bought at an even higher price than the original budget which the NAS rejected. That is an illegal act (a crime)

If anyone cannot see the difference in terms of legality or illegality in this case, then it's a pity, such a person should return to primary school.

This was the reason Fashola gave through his media rep:

"As far as the website contract is concerned, yes there was a contract, It went through procurement and was approved by the Government agency authorised to do so.
One of the services was an “upgrade” quoted for N12.5 million but awarded for N12 million. There were other services that were new; like a handover countdown clock, mobile Apps for Google, for IOS and iPad, forMicrosoft and for Research in Motion (Blackberry), which the existing website did not have, as well as the annual maintenance cost of managing the website"

So let me ask Naira land owners who have been running this site: Have you spent up to 78 million Naira in hosting this site??
Please answer!

^^^Another irredeeeeemable slowpoke.

...Coscharis Nig Ltd also maintained that due process was followed in the purchase of the cars and regards the exemption of duty, the President of the company, Cosmos Maduka said it had an agreement with Nigerian government to waive import duties on cars it purchases for the government at a given time.

While the committee insisted that the current price of the vehicle shouldn’t have ordinarily exceeded 50 million Naira each, Coscharis out rightly rejected it, saying it that could never be the case with BMW B 7 series anywhere in the world.

But in a bid to state the fact, Coscharis revealed that the NCAA demanded a jerk up of the prices of the controversial vehicles from what the company had submitted earlier.

According to the Chairman of the company, Mr. Cosmos Maduka “NCAA told us that the initial price is not proper”.

The hearing further revealed that the controversial cars were originally purchased on behalf of the Lagos State Government for the 2012 18th National Sports Festival and later sold to NCAA.

Explaining the controversy, Maduka said that the delay encountered when the company sought clearance from the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) when the demand came made it necessary to sell the cars to NCAA.

But the Committee insisted that Coscharis deceived the public and the government by saying that the cars were bought for NCAA when actually they were purchased on behalf of the Lagos State government.

The committee also accused the company of ripping Nigerians off.
