This thread is to bring together all students who are getting set for the students industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) also called IT/Internship.
This program avails students the opportunity to put all the theories they've learnt in school into practice. And for most courses, it is an important requirement for awarding a degree.
As the first work experience one gets, it is neccessary to get the best out of it as it may be the motivation you actually need to propel you to greater heights in the pursuit of your career.
Students who have already passed through this scheme should assist others with how to get placement. Prospective IT students should also dish out helpful information here.
To make contributions or requests, first tell us your course of study, then your proposed place of IT and so on
.

maybe such student did not get placement in a firm of interest. However, it's to that person's detriment as not taking the program seriously wouldn't allow the student get all the necessary experience he/she can gather

It is so disheartening to read the different comments in this section and feel the overwhelming sense of entitlement a large percentage of youths have. Someone created a thread to share ideas and all everyone is saying is me, me, me. We should share ideas guys, no one owes us anything.
