Are you in this country when GEJ and Okonjo Iweala slashes States Allocation? Someone states are trying to build up to be able to attract foreign investors so as to increase their IGR and that was why they get loan to rebuild the states. Go and check how South West States Government borrow to build states before GEJ Govt slash their allocations and ask banks to stop giving loans and also be deducting the previous loans from the incoming allocations.

Amaechi should return what? Aren't you guys seeing Akwa Ibom who collects more revenue than Rivers is on red and cant borrow like before. Amaechi should even be praised for making the state viable to that has enabled Wike to borrow 40billon in less than 6months despite the recent rise in allocation and others

What are you even saying? From the table shown on this thread, Is Rivers the highest indebted state among the rich ones? Can you back your claim that Amaechi borrowed money during the election which we all know he didn't. So what do you say of Wike who have continue borrowing since he became Governor. As I write this the state House of Assembly just approved another 10billon naira making it 40billion naira since he became Governor in less than 6months yet as you claim the state have enough ground not a borrow. Is that not double standard from you? Beside If you convert Wke's borrowing into dollar. Is now running into millions of dollars.

Edo tried PDP and PDP failed woefully. Must they still stick with PDP and continue suffering just to feed the erroneous perception that PDP is the "party" of the SS when PDP was actually a creation of the Katsina Mafia? The SS has never had a party of its own, and that is the truth.
Edos are not ruled by ego or mundane and self-destructive sentiments the way some tribes are.
And mind you that Edo did better than Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom despite it has virtually no oil and thus its 13% derivation is negligible compared with all other SS states except Cross River which no longer has oil. Edo as well dwarfed all other SE states. In terms of debt burden Edo is least in the SS.
On overall sustainability which is really the ultimate essence and supreme parameter of the topic Edo is 5th among all the SS states with Cross River coming a distant 6th. Now, who is running Cross River with Yoruba style also? If you were sincere in your view you should have noted that the paucity of oil revenue is what militated against Edo and Cross River as SS states. So how is it Oshiomhole's or Ayade's fault that Edo and Cross River don't have as much crude oil as the other 4 SS states? Abi na governor dey chook oil for ground so that him state fit get revenue? By the time natural gas exploration is fully developed and the economy diversified into agriculture we will see which SS state will see the back of Edo and Cross River as regards sustainability.
And mind you that of all the SS states Edo was the worst hit by PDP misgovernance courtesy of Lucky Igbinedion. No other SS state was that unlucky, not even Delta.
In previous ratings like this one Edo was nowhere to be found among the first 25 while PDP ruled the state. It took the arrival of Oshiomhole for Edo to land among the first ten. Edo GDP is now 7th, her GDP per capita is now 4th, her sustainability index is now 9th, IGR is now 5th, and so on.
Edo is among the less than 6 states in nigeria not owing its workers, and is almost about the only SS state in that category despite her very tiny federal allocation compared to other SS states and even most SE, SW and Northern states.
Please check through again and stop transferring to Edo state the bitterness you have against Yorubas for allegedly making you lose Biafra war.
