It can be energy as a quantum value, gravity or other forces responsible for universal causality, manifestations, laws of physics as we know them..
(Even though there are other many places laws of Physics are meaningless in this universe affirming nature has no one way of manifestation...

It depends on what you call God...!!! If by God you are shifting the goal post to Ifenese extra-terrestrial theory of seeding the earth, then those are Aliens which in turn remains an unproven hypothesis and also their own origin becomes a subject of question.

But if by God you refer to an infinite value of Universal Causality then you give it Anthropomorphical attributes, thats the part the story becomes a different thing all together.

This is not a competition, people find FAITH people loose it to subscribe to honest skepticism and intellectual honesty and curiosity people also find Faith even after being atheistic, it is a matter of psychological tilt of the subject..
