Ok......let me tryna remember a few....questions like wat u knw abt d csr roles and objectives in IE, explain ur knowledge of sound usage of a computer and hw best u can use various applications, why u want to work with IE....e.t.c

You need to know that the questions aint d issue, d harsh and unfrndly environment trying to make one confused and disorganised is! I think I av tried. God's success to us all
They were only simulating the scenarios you would encounter on the job. Being a CSR @ a DISCO no be ice-cream o. Do you know how irate wrongly-billed electricity consumers can be. Tell me you, even an applicant, have never used a curse word on 'NEPA'. You would have helped yourself a great deal if you did not allow their hostility get to you and smiled all through. I had a tip of this during my ESR interview. Nonetheless, good luck!

Hi all. Pls I need your advise. I didn't get invited for the 2nd stage of the interview recently conducted and duly got a regret mail to that effect. However, I got a call from the HR Manager this afternoon asking if I wld be interested in a contract job offer(1 month)with IKEDC as a CSR. I told him yes and got a text and mail for invitation for a chat tomorrow morning ,9am. Anyone with me?....what's the prospect of the contract job? Is it worth taking?
P.S - I called the guy back and told him I am presently not in Lagos and asked if the chat could be shifted till later in the day or better still, next tomorrow. He declined.
Re: Interview Invite By Ikeja Electric For Customer Service Representative by angrybutsane(f): 4:08pm On Nov 16, 2015
Just for a month?.. undecided. Just see what that's all about. Goodluck..lool..eyah
Re: Interview Invite By Ikeja Electric For Customer Service Representative by LarbieNesky: 4:14pm On Nov 16, 2015
you can go for the chat tomorrow if you are actually in lag to get the full details but the one month thing tho...... you can just go especially if you are free but don't keep your hopes too high

Just go. It might be a trial period and they could convert u after one month
Re: Interview Invite By Ikeja Electric For Customer Service Representative by lobito007(m): 4:23pm On Nov 16, 2015
I wonder what their motive could be. Why do they need a contract staff? Why don't they fast-track the recruitment process of the current applicants to fill any vacant slot? Is it like those who attended the second interview are not enough to fill the required slots? IE arousing suspicion.

It's possible. However, my prob is the guy's insistence on my availability by 9am 2moro wen I just got the mail some minutes to 3pm and I'm in another State. I called and pleaded to see if the time could be shifted further to say, 12pm......he declined. Wetin make I do nah

This is ridiculous and improper. You rejected someone for a position and asking to give thesame position to the person on a contract basis!!!! Anyways, my dear, try and go for it. My current job went same way and its close to two years and am still with them. They called for a contract job and said plainly its just for three months after which it is terminated..... Thats were we still are two years later! So give it a trial you never can tell. Those guys has plans. I just hope the interview conducted was not for fun!

2 plus years experience too. The interview went perfect too. I am not upto 30. Someone said they were recruiting only people from banks, telecoms etc. grin

I just laugh. Anyway, my interview was on the first day. I was busy updating what was happening on this thread while I was waiting for my interview. I will never try that again.

That aside, this is what I noticed that day. There were two guys who were going through credentials at the first entrance. Both of them were big. One was dark and the other was light in complexion. They made us sit according to how our names were listed. I can boldly say that those guys brought in their own people. They were very familiar wiv some applicants. In fact, they followed some applicants outside after the interview. They were discussing something and the familiarity was just to much for comfort. I remember vividly the light skinned one called one of the applicants who is a girl to a corner in the hall. She was supposed to enter next. He called her into another office in a corner in the small hall and closed the door. Immediately she came out. It was her turn to enter. When she finished that same man followed her outside.

When it got to my turn, it was very brief. I answers all questions well. I remember I was asked to tell them about i.e. I even talked about how much they bought it from the federal government. The three panelist were amused and said wow "u know so much about the company, This is very good". I mean I was so damn sure I nailed that interview. But when I got a regret mail. All what I saw on that first day came back to hunt me. It just felt like they new who they wanted to pick.
