1). I don't know any schools would reject card payment they have already accepted and ask for cash payment, if there's nothing wrong with the payment except it is a charge back. How long did it take before they rejected the card payment?

2). You live in the UK but why is ya accountant in India? What do you need an accountant in a foreign country for if you don't run a big business cos I doubt a professional accountant in a next country would be interested in meagre $50 transactions? Even if you have a registered company for whatever contract job you do, the accountant you get for that only deals with ya taxes - not ya everyday spendings.

I think the both of you need to take this offline and resolve it amicably. You're adults and you were together for three years before this madness. That is a long time to have a proper strong bond, that is bigger than emotional fantasies.

she's broken already - i pity her. suing her for defamation would just tip the scales. i don't bear a single grudge towards her. we have seen this kinda drama play out every time. i am surprised she hasn't claimed i once raped her.

and at that point in the relationship, I was already suspecting he's shady (and hoping he wasn't).

This is why we want to put an end to his operations on nairaland. This forum should not be bastardized by never-do-wells like Gbenga. Some of his goons sent emails to me to leave the matter. Some ladies also sent email to confirm if he is truely Gbenga because he told them he is kayode. Everything about him is fake. Arif supplied him stolen credit cards, reading your chats showed you were ignorant of how cc scammers like coogar operates. Arif will send many ccs and some may not work. It is like black market for them too. Coogar is an hardened criminal, the tone of his chats really showed you were in wrong vault.

I am not a lawyer and I am sure there are all manner of loopholes competent lawyers can exploit but just going by what I read on page 0 and the snippets I caught over the weekend, it's going to be a tough sell that she was completely ignorant; when she became suspicious, why not go straight to the authorities? I know those yanks do not drag their feet on fraud like the Europeans do.

Secondly, that ignorance may get her a reduced sentence but I struggle to see how it will completely get her off the hook. She's sure made a lot of mistakes but she needs to just take responsibility for her (ignorance or whatever) and move on with her life. This show on NL is going to do what exactly for her?

All those calling babe3 mumu should remember that every once in a while people do silly stuff for love. Or else why anyone go through the hassle of sending money to someone in another continent just so he can use his cards to pay her bills in order to avoid taxes.

Telling her to stop trying to expose any fraud that happened while they dated is like telling her to keep covering up what she knows to be a crime.

Even if she appears complicit now, owning up first will give her an edge and with a good lawyer she can walk away from all this mess. As long as the lawyer can prove she didn't have any intentions of defrauding anyone of their hard earned money.
But if she keeps quiet, it will surely blow one day -as do all scams and then she will surely be complicit because even if she didn't know what he was up to at first, she is expected to report it now that she's found out.

My two cents.
