jonmu:For his portfolio that will be too much and am sure he will only have as much as the equipment that is for which service and at defence headquarters level the same can go. if u need which division and CDR that receive what u go to Army, Navy or Air Chief of staff as the case may be. if not the abnormal way that Nigeria system work Chief of defence staff should be in charge of all this joint service purchases while the whole intelligence network SSS, NIA, DMI and DIA report to the NSA and of course he will interface with Defence Chief and when necessary with the other services |

The quotes below are Dasuki's defense. All contracts and accruing payments were with the approval of the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces. Once the ex-President approved, the former NSA paid. So, there was due process for every purchase in line with regulations guiding arms procurement for the Armed Forces. He is saying his duty is to pay once he receives approval papers from the president. There were no fictitious contracts; contract sums were not diverted and the relevant services in writing acknowledged delivery of equipment. He is still emphasizing here that his jobs ends after receipt of acknowledgment letters from the various services, it is not his job to physically confirm the equipments. In order not to endanger the nation’s security, there are many salient issues and contracts which I cannot put in public domain. I am ready for trial on all these allegations in order to prove to Nigerians that I did nothing untoward in office. We will certainly meet in court. This is a subtle threat, he is ready to spill the beans if pushed to the wall. |

Dasuki sounds credible and is ready to defend himself in court. The government should file their charges and let the court decide. No need for witch-hunt. |

I don't pity this man one bit..he was one of the many people who sold GEJ out. I guess his agreement with Booooohari must have gone sour, now jail is his only option |

Femi Asina stated in clear terms that the press release was the preliminary report, that the investigation was still on going. Also, the panel needs not invite Dasuki to come and render any sort of explanations cause he will most likely have that opportunity in court to defend himself. As for the contracts, is it not what he tendered to Jonathan convincingly that was approved for him? Again, Adesina's statement clearly mentioned that the supposedly supplied items were no where to be found in the inventory. Signatures of receipts does not confirm actual delivery. Only inventory sighted stocks are actual confirmation of delivery. One thing we must establish here is the function of the NSA. What is the business of the NSA in actual procurement of arms? The office is an advisory office. We have the ministry of defence which is supposed to cater for all our defence needs. So why was Dasuki involved in the actual procurement of arms ? Finally, why is Dasuki so desperate to get out of the country? An honest man will surely insist on staying back to clear his name. 1 Like |

At least from the highlighted, Dasuki has just confirmed he is culpable of some of these allegations, so we can proceed to the next step. 2 Likes |

o42austino: You lie. Despite the UN law, no country including USA and Russia declares all their weapons cos if you do, enemy will know your strength which is very dangerous. Is like importers, they dont declare the actual cost of their goods to the custom to avoid paying heavy tax. |

Hear him Dasuki. " These are some of the acknowledgement letters submitted to me by the end-users(the services). It is not for me to go and find out whether the equipment were delivered or not. I am not the one keeping the inventories." This is why we are allegeing you now for not keeping inventories as a public servant.......Here comes the change we are calling for; PUBLIC SERVANT keep inventories on what you are doing now. It's no more doing things the old way. 1 Like |

All these wuruwuru(fraudulent) figures from Dasuki don't tally.Infact he has even implicated himself more by providing figures way below the missing amount.Let him not misplace the documents or allow rats to 'chop' the documents ohhhh,we shall wait for him (and his satanic accomplices)in court to come and defend his lies and explain how he got his blood money. |

There is a level you reach in the security sector of any developed nation,, they thread carefully A former NSA should not even spill a single beans to the general public unless such has been declassified.. But... Buhari should know these as a retired General. Am not holding brief for Dasuki... But truth is.. Aside some heavy equipment.. you cannot ask to see the weapons but receipts.. Please, i want to see conviction after a case has been proved beyond all reasonable doubt.. not all this noise sef |

These are some of the acknowledgement letters submitted to me by the end-users(the services). It is not for me to go and find out whether the equipment were delivered or not. I am not the one keeping the inventories The National Security adviser and the man in charge of our safety and security didn't care if what he spent billions of dollars on was delivered or not. The question is, how do you protect us without any knowledge per what's available to defend and protect us with. How callous and irresponsible not to care or fell concerned when in fact it's your job to know and care, this is the reason why you are the NSA. When people make such statements, it's either they are guilty as charged or utterly foolish, incompetent and terrible fit for he job. For me, I'm 100% convinced he's guilt and the service chiefs are also equally guilty... 1 Like 1 Share |

MizMyColi:It smacks of naivety and pure ignorance for anyone to think that if Nigeria didn't add a single riffle to her arsenal in 20 years, it automatically translates to not having any weapon in stock. It's the same childish display that's exhibited here daily whenever we hear govt is spending or proposing to spend money despite the claim that "the treasury was virtually emptied by the last administration". One would expect that educated adults with average IQ will understand that "being broke" and "GEJ didn't buy weapons to fight BH" are both relative terms. One broke man may still have ten million in his account yet he is broke by his standard. Same way you don't expect Nigeria not to have any weapon just because GEJ didn't buy as much as they claimed to have spent on weapons. Did you read Alex Badeh's revelation at his exit that Nigeria last bought a fighter jet in 2006? Honestly speaking, I am tired of having to teach adults as if they were kids incapable of engaging in critical thinking. 3 Likes 3 Shares |
