Good day,

Our expanding farm is opening up our cocoa plantain in weeks time.

We grow biologically and organically, which means our operations are slow and it depends on the frequency of money inflow.

It is still thesame person, thesame company and thesame location, Akure, Nigeria.

I will be updating this thread with recent activities from nursery to plantation establishment and maintenance till harvesting as time and chance permits.

The cocoa is the improved amazon variety from cocoa research institute of nigeria (CRIN).

I will be picking the pods tomorrow from their Ondo state sub station near Akure here.

For enquiries, you can

Call: 08067341873

Call/ whatsapp : 07011027713.

Email: bsaidealfarm@gmail.com.

You will be served beyond your imagination.

God bless your hustle.

Sincerely,

Blame climate change. Or pestilence. Or China's Westernizing taste in candy. Blame, perhaps, Ebola.

Regardless, the world is running out of chocolate. In 2013, the world consumed about 70,000 metric tons more cocoa than it produced. And now, Mars, Inc.
and Barry Callebaut—two of the world's biggest manufacturers of chocolate goods—are warning that by 2020, that consumption-over-production number could increase to 1 million metric tons
(a fourteen-fold bump). "Chocolate deficits, whereby farmers produce less cocoa than the world eats, are becoming the norm," The Washington Post reported. We are in the midst of what may be "the longest streak of consecutive chocolate deficits in more than 50 years" and analysts say it's only going to get worse.

Remember Africa has over 60% of world's arable land. The world awaits us to feed them in few years ahead.

Stop sleeping and invest in agricultural value chain. Agribusiness is not limited to farming.

Cocoa name is TC4

Starts fruiting 12 calendar months after transplant.

It produces 4,000kg/hectare averagely, annually.

It is usually irrigated to get this yield right from planting.

Spacing is 3m * 3m, giving 1,100 plant population/hectare.

Production peaks at 5-25 years after planting.

It thrives well on GAP ( Good Agronomic Practice).

This is the new phase of cocoa farming.

Costly to set-up to an average Nigerian farmer but benefits, outstanding.

Needs a lot of planning, calculations and set-up precision.

Seeds and seedlings available.

Full payment, 4 months before pickup.

N100 per Seedling. N25 per Seed.

Hello sir,

Please how much do you think it will take to set up a Cocoa farm in a Greenhouse farm of about 1 acre of land.

This cost estimate should include the cost of the green houses also.

Thank you.
