For some people it's a rescue mission... lol. They are just waiting to be rescued, it's their life line. I read a book and the author asked a very profound question - as a lady, if no man ever gets to marry you in life, what becomes of you? That question hit me hard! There is no need for the rush, we will get married but let's maximize singlehood first of all. Marriage is good but it's becoming a misplaced priority for some of us though and guys are really using that marry-marry line to shine

Not necessarily meaningless but giving myself devotedly to my marriage when I eventually do means there are some things career-wise that one definitely won't be able to achieve as a married WOMAN so I'd better maximize my singlehood nd set my priorities right before getting married...
That's why ppl usually say a woman's career span is very short,why make it shorter by rushing into marriage
