Why Nigerian Army Might Be Lying About The Missing Soldiers by naijapips02: 9:05am On Nov 20, 2015 |
Let's take another Look at the reports, shall we? Abuja – Chief of Army staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai has waved aside reports that about 105 soldiers prosecuting the war against Boko Haram terrorists met their untimely death when they failed to return in a bid to annihilate the terrorists in the North East. From the bolded, Burutai claims that the soldiers went on a mission and have returned. He failed to tell us the mission and how he concluded that it's same 105 soldiers that went on a mission that we are insinuating that are missing. If they have returned to their battalion, why single them out of the possible hundreds in the battalion to tell us that they are not missing? What's he trying to cover? Now let's take another look at sahara reporters version, shall we? A military spokesman, Colonel Tukur Ismail Gusau, has denied a media report that Boko Haram insurgents overran troops in Guzamala, Borno State. The report had also claimed that the Islamist fighters killed several soldiers, adding that some soldiers, including the commanding officer of the military unit, could not be accounted for. Gusau, in one sentence told us that there were no equipment lost, whatsoever, and no gunshot wounds, right? How come his stance changed in his subsequent statement? You say the number of equipment lost is incorrect, what this implies is that at least some equipment were lost and there were casualties, but maybe not as much as the public were insinuating. Now, if there were casualties in a boko haram kind of attack, would we expect the casualties to be victims of sword injuries? Of course not. For boko haram to have mounted such attack in a MILITARY BASE, they must have come with heavy gunpower, so casualties from the attack must sustain gun wounds at least. This contradicts Gusau's earlier statement that no soldier sustained any gunshot injury. The truth is that Our military are trying so hard to cover up this whole mess but they are making some silly mistakes. |

Perfect observation That's why I laugh at some mumus who are encouraging the military to open a second front against Biafra. |

EternalTruths: they shouldn't brief the media at all if they know they wouldn't be consistent in their statements. It breeds more doubt about their capabilities and make Nigeria look weak outside. |

naijapips02: You Failed to understand well his statement.. “number of casualty and equipment lost as being circulated is not correct,”The Bolded text is what sent the confusion I guess if we replace the words "is not correct" with "is a lie", we might get a clearer picture... Let's rephrase the colonel's statement and see how it turns out.. “number of casualty and equipment lost as being circulated is a lie,” “number of casualty and equipment lost as being circulated Is not true,” 1 Like |

Nigerian Media will suffer because they are the major promoter of boko haram. They started with joining hands with the former opposition to use it against the government, now the government has changed they played down some of the attacks and assaults. Now the new opposition I believe is using them again against the present government. Once a thief always a thief. A country where money determines who is your friend or enemy. #IpityNigeria |

ejibaba: would it be better when they start releasing videos of soldiers that they are beheading? It would make the NA look like a joke. |
Re: Why Nigerian Army Might Be Lying About The Missing Soldiers by Nobody: 9:52am On Nov 20, 2015 |
naijapips02: That's the point...what is the essence of releasing the video if not to advertise their evil...which is what the media is also doing for them free of charge with loads of exaggeration and hypes. |

There were no gunshot wounds that is to say boko haram no longer fight with guns they now fight with swords, daggers, and maybe pepper spray. Well that's something to believe, I can't doubt that |
