He is AHMED .A. RAJI SAN. he is the PRINCIPAL COUNSEL of the ahmedrajiandco legal firm.

mentioned in his website Some Recent Relevant Engagements,
1 Represented Amigo Supermarket and Wonderland Amusement Park on charges relating to Terrorism.
2 Represented the governor elect of Ekiti State on pre election Petition.
3 Currently representing the governor elect of Ekiti State on Criminal Charges against him.
4 Currently representing Chief Fani Kayode on charges of Libel
5 Currently representing INEC on Anambra Election Petition.
6 Represented INEC on Edo Election Petition.

well, i am curious why does this man and his legal firm always defend those with terrorism charges and questionable characters?

Dasuki's suit
Threat to life: Dasuki sues FG

Abuja – Former National Security Adviser (NSA) Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) has dragged the Federal Government to a Federal High Court in Abuja seeking enforcement of his fundamental human rights to dignity and security of his life.

Dasuki also urged the court to dispose with his appearance in court because of the alleged constant threats to his life from the security agencies.

Dasuki is asking the court for a mandatory order compelling the Federal Government and its agents especially the operatives of the Directorate of the State Security Service (DSSS) to vacate his house located at 13, John Kadija Street, Asokoro with immediate effect.

In the suit filed by his counsel Mr Ahmed Adeniyi Raji SAN, Dasuki pleaded with the court to stop the siege laid on his house and to remove all impediments, human and non-human barricade and bulwarks said to have hindered the permission granted him since November 3 to travel abroad for treatment of his ailing medical condition.

In a motion on notice filed pursuant to section 36(5) 37 and 41 of the 1999 constitution and sections 1(1) and (2) and 266 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, the ex NSA also sought for order of the court extending order of November 3 permitting treatment of his ailment abroad.

The motion on notice was premised on five grounds including the request to enforce the 3 week permission granted him by the court on November 3 to keep a re-rescheduled medical appointment with his physician abroad.

He claimed that the Federal Government acting through the operatives of the SSS and other security agencies have frustrated the said order by barricading his apartment since the permission was granted.

The ex NSA also requested the court to extend the order of Number 3 since it could not be implemented due to the action of the security agents.

In a 13 paragraph affidavit in support of the motion, Dasuki claimed that following the order of November 3 permitting him to go abroad for medical attention, he immediately purchased his travel ticket and boarding pass issued to him to accomplish the trip.

He averred that shortly after, the operatives of the SSS acting on behalf of the Federal Government stormed and barricaded his house at Asokoro in brazen defiance of the court order and prevented him from traveling out.

Dasuki asserted that the siege on his house ought to be immediately removed and that as a result of the aggression of the Federal Government, his life has been under constant threat.

No date has been fixed for heap of the suit.

It will be recalled that the Federal Government had preferred criminal charges of unlawful possession of firearms and money laundering against Dasuki at the Federal High Court.

He denied the charges and was granted bail.

Following his successful application, Justice Adeniyi Ademola on November 3 granted him permission to travel abroad to treat his ailment.

The grant of the permission followed the affidavit evidence filed by the Federal Government that investigations into the alleged possession of firearms and money laundering have been fully completed.

However, the 3 week permission to go abroad for medical attention could not be implemented following the house arrest the SSS placed Dasuki since November 4, 2015.

Kano Arms Cache: Court frees 2 Lebanese suspects

Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, yesterday, dismissed the 16-count criminal charge that was preferred against the Lebanese co-owner of Amigo Supermarket, Mustapha Fawaz, by the Federal Government, following his alleged involvement in the illegal importation of arms into Nigeria.

Equally discharged by the court yesterday was another Lebanese, Abdullahi Thahini, who was arrested at the MallamAminuKanoInternationalAirport on May 11, 2013, and the sum of $61, 170, recovered from him.

The government had alleged that Thahini, who it said had attempted to escape from the country via a Middle East airline, was deeply involved in terrorism financing in the country.

However, the court, yesterday, found the 3rd accused person, Tahal Roda, guilty on two counts of criminal conspiracy contrary to section 1(14) (a) (i) of Miscellaneous Offences Act, CAP M17, LFN, 2004, and sentenced him to life imprisonment on each of the counts, stressing that his sentence should run concurrently.

It will be recalled that the federal government had specifically alleged that Fawaz who is equally the owner of Wonderland Amusement Park Resort in Abuja and his compatriots were members of the military wing of a Lebanon based terrorist organization, Hezbollah.

Maintaining that the accused persons were in charge of the operations of Hezbollah in Nigeria, the government, through Acting Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Mr Simon Egede, called 10 witnesses and tendered 25 exhibits in the course of the trial.

Among the exhibits admitted against them by the court included guns, cartridge belt holders with ammunition, pellets for Air Rifles, 150 cartridges, 158rounds of cartridges, two bound copies of still pictures of arms and ammunition that were allegedly discovered in one of their premises at No 3 Gaya Road, off Bompai Road in Kano, two video CDs and witness statements.

Other arms allegedly uncovered at the underground bunker owned by the suspects were anti-tank weapons, rocket-propelled guns and anti-tank/anti-personnel mines.

According to the security operatives that conducted the search, the arms and ammunition were properly concealed with several layers of concrete and placed in coolers, drums and bags neatly wrapped.

The 3rd accused who was convicted yesterday, Roda, was not only apprehended inside the bunker were the arms were recovered, but also confessed that he was commissioned by another Lebanese who is an in-law to Fawaz, Abdalhassan Tahir, currently at large, to be servicing the guns.

The security services had insisted that the weapons were intended to be used to attack Israeli and Western targets based in Nigeria.

Meantime, the accused persons denied all the allegations and urged the court to dismiss the charge for want of nexus linking them to the arms and ammunitions recovered in Kano state.

Arguing through their team of lawyers led by Chief Robert Clarke, SAN and Mr Ahmed Raji, SAN, they maintained that the government, failed to adduce sufficient proof of evidence capable of warranting their conviction.

Ogwuche had gone to court to challenge his continued detention in the custody of the Department of State Service, DSS, insisting that his fundamental human right is being violated by the Nigerian government.

Though he initially demanded to be paid N100 million as damages, Ogwuche, through his lawyer Mr. Ahmed Raji, SAN, subsequently amended his application and upgraded the damage sum to N600m.
