Aunty, you are right. I give Aregbe 75A in his first time.

My only issue with him is the debt issue and non-payment of workers salaries. I hate debt with passion.

Lord deliver us from the debt. Lord have mercy on Osun State.

I dunno why Aregbe is so vehemently vilified. Yes, he is owing workers, everyone knows why. In the SW, I liken Osun state to what Ijebu-Ode is to Ogun state. Osun- State is very central and what Aregbe has done is open up it up; expect to see an increase in external investments in the state in a fear years.

Why not 300%, heck why not 600%?

If his intention is to de-congest his state, he is at liberty to do that as long as he has the support of the voters in Rivers.

It is high time, everyone goes to develop their states and stop flooding into any state that is making progress. Let all citizens go and attack their reps and governors and demand accountability instead of protesting in another state. When Nigerians start demanding accountability from their LG because they are discriminated against in another LG, then Nigeria will start making progress.

There needs to be a radical paradigm shift for there to be progress.

Amen sister! I am with you on this one.

Religion is something i steer clear from, if you see the vigor some use to defend pastors too... lipsrsealed, prosperity pastors oooo, they pepper every conversation with pastor said, pastor did...

The one i detest is when you say "I'm not feeling well or baby is not feeling well" & they tell you no, you say STRONG... sad , yeyenatu, iranu .....

Some will start querying you , asking if you are truly born again cos you dissent with something pastor said , like they have a speed dial line to God themselves... Mcheewww!!

Lol, afi yeyenatu na, i really hate that "you are strong" statement

Iya agba, if you hear stories coming out our campus, you will understand. I remember a certain Jamaican convert sheikh that was arrested and banned from entering Britain had visited an stayed in a Nigerian campus mosque.

Whaooooo

You remind me of Akindeko Mosque at FUTA. Would you believe if I told you they have weapons in the mosque?

Some years ago(I think 2002) there was a jihad fight at FUTA between the Alfas and christian students. A preacher was preaching somewhere around Akindeko(not near the mosque ooo), an Alfa went to meet him and beat the preacher to stupor(All the Alfas are martial artist. By Alfa I mean the guys who wear three quarter, not muslims in general). People hear him shouting and went out to free him, they later descended on the Alfa and gave him the beating of his life.

The Alfa's colleague called an emergency jihad prayer and started attacking after the prayer. Akindeko boys were waiting for them but when they finisheded prayer and brought about their weapons Akindeko boys ran.

They ran to get weapons and launch return leg. They had upper hand because Akindeko boys are many than the Alfas. They have always had beef because the Alfas always complain whenever Akindeko boys are watching their Jogunomi(porn) in midnight(no pocketing). Mopol were invited to quell the fight, the authority later shut the school.

The so-called preachers also have their own fault. They always disburb people with their preaching wahala.

I remember a 500-L so-called pastor student was beaten by the security because he was preaching inside Big LT in 2004. It lead to crisis and authority shut the school.

Infact, if I had my way, I would ban the two religions. Wahala esin mejeeji ti po ju. Kilode.

Good one ma'am.

Even though religion discussion is sensitive and almost everyone shy away from involving in religion discussion yet we will have to talk about it at the appropriate time.

Churches are creating nuisance, our pastors are turning themselves to demi-gods(they sometimes tell married women what to do contrary to what the husband wants), most of them are 19, infact the list is endless. I have been to various churches when I was in Ife. Here in Abuja, I have attended about 7 churches. I have seen things.

Our Imams is another discussion entirely. We might have religion extremism in Osun in few years especially the oyo-speaking part of Osun state.

There was an Islamic preacher that used to come to Osun to preach about Islam, his preaching was all about bashing Christianity and calling Jesus a thief shocked shocked He said Jesus commanded one of his boys to steal a donkey, I attended the so-called Ife-for-Islam program at Stadium some years ago. The dude stopped coming to Osun when issue of Boko Haram became rampant.

Truth is, we have some radical Muslims in Osun, it's not been easy for their followers to attack people because we are interwoven.

Lord deliver us from religious fanaticism. How I wish everyone could be like me. I attend church like twice in a month and I have stopped attending Padre-Hour at work. I believe there is God yet I don't allow a Pastor to tell me how to live my life. I'm Igboro bam bam(Ilare to the core), so I don't fall for their bullshitt easily.

Lord Take Control.
Imagine the bolded, when this commits crime, they will call him Muslim when his teaching is a sin itself.

God save us o

I heard a story too about UI when the Moslems wanted to build a mosque and they saw that the east they would be facing is towards All Souls Cathedral that has been in UI for over 50yrs. They wanted the cross at All Souls demolished and it caused some brouhaha

In Oyo State. During the regime of Lam Adesina, Moslem leaders claimed they wanted their daughters to wear Hijab to historically missionary schools like St Annes, St theresa, St Louis etc and it was a big issue until Lam Adesina used his maturity to settle the case

Amen ooo Aunty.

We would have had religion crisis in Osun if not for awareness and education. The Alfas have been brainwashing their followers yet the followers have not started attacking people up till now. I believe they find it hard to attack their own people.

That is why I frowned at the strategy used by PDP and Omisore to wrestled power from Aregbesola. They called him Boko Haram and various derogatory names in his first tenure.

During the campaign, Omisore said he was going to return public schools to the missionaries who built the schools. If the schools are returned to the missionaries, non-christian students may be discouraged from attending such public schools. If that should happen(God forbid), we would have Boko Haram Terrorists in Osun and South West in general in the next 10years. Those kids must never be discouraged from attending pulic schools. They learn a lot in 12years they spend in schools.

Lord Have Mercy.
