See analysis na...
It's funny nobody is having a go at Ronaldo for such a bad performance, he only came alive when his selfish instincts kicked in, realising he had to score to be joint top of the chart again...Apart from goals, Ronaldo offers next to nothing... As far as Madrid attack was concerned, only James was up for it but I'm surprise some folks here are downplaying his performance... Bale was bad as was a clearly unfit Benzema...
The midfield was just a poor combo, a casmeiro behind Kross and Modric would have limited the influence of Iniesta, for heavens sake he was the only threat through the middle cos Rakitic was off the paces...
Defense was led down by the midfield...Also, I still don't see how Danilo is better than Carvajal, in attack or defense...
Team should've been
Keylor Navas

Carvajal-Varane-Ramos-Marcelo

Casmeiro

Kross-Modric

James Rodriguez - CR7 - Bale

Ronaldo was awful yesterday, he had a piss-poor performance, but he can be excused for bailing Madrid out on numerous occasions - something Bale doesn't do!!

And I agree with your CR7's appraisal, that's why I don't even want him back. I'd rather we let him go and find a good player that plays for the team, tracks back and helps out in the defense as well as contribute meaningful going forward. CR7 shouldn't be bought for anything more than 40M!!

For me, $25-30m should be the most we pay, dude is anything but a team player... I agree with you, his best years are seemingly behind him

How much do you think he is worth??

if utd wants CR7, then they r going to match at least 80% of what any other interested party (PSG in this case) offers to stand a chance of signing him. PSG would jump at an offer of that same 80 mil madrid paid if it is presented to them
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chrisley024(m): 9:48am On Nov 22, 2015
No be only 40m na 4m grin you guys should calculate his wages for 3 years and tell me the total.

I want him here long as he is not above 60mil. The only problem is can he work under LVG cos of their egos?
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chrisley024(m): 10:25am On Nov 22, 2015
The Reds boss revealed injuries sustained to Herrera and Jones against Watford were perhaps not too serious even though it was a patched-up side that secured a sweet 2-1 win at Vicarage Road; James Wilson also missed the game due to a knee problem.

"My first impression is that they are not too heavy but the problem is that we have to play Wednesday already. Jones had a twisted ankle and Herrera a hamstring injury. Rooney is ill, and that is a matter of days, not weeks. I expect that he shall play Wednesday, but you never know, I do not know the development of the illness. Today he is at home, we gave him a day off to heal the illness; tomorrow he comes and I can say more. Martial is another problem, his foot, it is not as heavy as the media have written but we have to wait and see if he can play Wednesday."

In other news, LVG has openly declared that Utd wants to buy back Ronaldo just about the same time Madrid fans booed the fúck out of Ronaldo last night. And with Ronaldo always stylishly talking about Utd all the time, I can see Ronaldo at Utd next season. My only fear is that Ed will throw away a lot of money to get Ronaldo back. I wouldn't want that. £40M should the max we'd pay for him, anything more should be vehemently rejected. His best years are past him, IMHO.

40m to buy Ronaldo? How una take dey look this ball matter sef?

How can you guys say you don't want Ronaldo back? Someone who will guarantee 25 goals from the wing. Even if it's just three seasons. May be we get Robben in the other end of the wing for one or two seasons. That's enough time to get the young ones to grow. We are going to get inconsistencies from Lingard and Memphis.

If I had my way I would even buy Vardy this January. But I don't know if he will gel with the philosophy. We can see our pacing striker who plays like Vardy, Wilson struggles in the perhaps philosophy.

If we need instant success we need to spend to bring some world class who can temporarily make among the strongest in Europe.

Let PSG have him abeg. We can't blow £80M on any player in this world in his 30s. Di Maria's loss is still recent. Let him go, we don't need him.

I think may be is no longer motivated there. That's the problem. Despite this he's always a threat in and around the box.

Ronaldo can't guarantee us 25 goals with this our average squad. Let's be real. He can do it with a PSG squad not Utd squad. In a bombshell - our squad is a not a top team yet!!

How do you guys see my suggestion of bringing Vardy in January? There's no harm in trying our luck, he won't even be expensive sef.

Ronaldo would be a good addition to our side but The money Madrid will be looking to make from us is the issue here - I won't be surprised if they ask for De Gea + 100m. cheesy

Personally, I'd rather stop this Ronaldo àss-licking and move on - the way we tend to attach ourselves to him based on his past exploits in a Man utd shirt is beginning to get out of hand.

We should be looking to get players who would guarantee 100% commitment and not someone the club may have to play for.

Benzema, Higuain and Ozil were partly to blame. They were too lazy and didn't have the pace to match Ronaldo's speed. This was why Madrid had a great season they had four players who could play at top speed. Ronaldo, Bale, Di Maria and Isco. Benzema later upped his speed.

Acnelotti made a mistake the next season by trying to play more of possession football. He sold Di Maria who was careless with the ball. Tried to play with more coordination but the players were not all used to that.

We can always sell. That's how City built their team. They tried many players, they kept the best and sold out the misfit. Jo, Robinho, Adebayo, Lescott, Tevez, Dzeko, Barry, Balotelli, etc.

Aguero, Kompany, Toure, Silva, Hart, Zabeleta, survived in the trial and error era.

If this is your line of argument, then Madrid have been poor for over 6 years now, coz save for the few number of times Barca lost to them, Barca have been bashing them for past 6 seasons. When was the last time Madrid won Barca by even 2-0? The Barca team that have been reborn under Pep goes to Bernabeau and whoop Madrid 5-1!!

Bt wud you compare the Madrid we saw yesterday to the one that was managed by Ancelloti? Barcenola is a very good team, bt Madrid was poor yesterday.

You have a point. I think too Ronaldo is someone who likes to adventure, so one who likes to conquer new things and new places. The reason he might find France more appealing now than England and Spain.

The Madrid of Ancellotti's first season is better than Benitez's but that didn't stop Barça trouncing them home and away in the league before loosing 2-1 in their FA Cup.

Harsh truth, we've seen the likes of Andrew Johnson, Darren Bent and Most recently Andy Caroll come in and do wonders all in one season...Even Kane has a pack of doubters...Vardy needs to play at this level for at least 2-3 seasons to even be considered worthy of mention...
