What are they teaching that worth 2Million ? Are they opening students brain to put books. Only politicians and thieves can afford the fee. 200k per month, if you have 4children i.e 800k per month, can civil servant afford it.
Some civil servants are begining to suffer themselves by taking loans to send their children to highly expensive schools cos they know what quality education means. I dont think it's a bad idea having such type of schools here in Naija, u'll find schools like these virtually in all countries around the globe, I mean privately owned schools with high standard and expensive fees. Talk of the learning environment, quality of teachers, sound academic upbringing & first class level of exposure to the real world. Those schools send their students abroad every academic year for life changing experience. U need to pray for God's blessings on ur endeavour so that ur children too can get the finest of legacy from u. U dont have to be a politician before u can send ur child to such school. There's no amount of money expended on education that is too much, from my own perspective anyway.

what they paid is to speak English Lagos whenever there is national or local competition among the school you will see unknown schools as the best. Even they sometime refuse to register for competition to bury their same.

Very false! Many of these schools especially Day Waterman take part in international competitions. Visit the trophy room in Day Waterman and you will be amazed. They believe it is beneath them to take part in local competitions. They train their students to be global citizens.

In 2yrs time, with the TSA and PMB still in place these fees will come down to N50,000.00

When you stay online defending the crooks this is where they spend your collective wealth sending their kids to. Iranu!

I and my siblings went to one of these schools and my dad is neither a politician nor a crook. Stop limiting urself.

Good for you. I do not believe the guy is limiting himself, I do however believed that you are lucky to have parents that can afford such cos most of us aren't lucky. You would've been limited too if not for your rich parentage.

I worked for my Anty in the construction of the school 7years ago. The school is damn expensive and there was a rumor then that OBJ is the owner of the school but no confirmation .

True talk. It is not school that determines the level of your success. Remember Thomas Edison, read his life story not just what is taught in class.

Best point made so far, on this thread. And u didn't have to put down a rich or poor school to make it.

If your nephew and nieces really attended theose kind of schools abroad, you will know that private schools abroad are more expensive than the ones in Lagos. Public schools are free abroad. And the quality of public schools differ from state to state if they are in the US.
martineverest:
they are mostly Montessori, Waldorf. Or reggio Emilia system of schooling, which are not different from the ones my nephew and nieces attend abroad, of which their tuition fees are 10x lesser than those mentioned(Nigerian schools)

With TSA operation, some of those parents will no longer see awooff money to steal to send their children to those kind of schools. Watch out for mass withdrawal of kids from such schools henceforth. Thieves!

You can't compare Nigerian secondary schools to schools in the US or the UK. Public high schools abroad are subsidized by the govt. Private high schools abroad are very expensive.

This is huge. I bet the educational standard matches the fees. Education is priceless and I will pay anything to give my kid's the very best of it, so long as I can afford it.. I pay 125.000 Naira equivalent for my son's Nursery school fees. Though it is nothing close to the figures in the chat it is a huge sacrifice for me at this point. It is a bilingual school (French and English) and just after two months of schooling he can write the 26 alphabets. Nothing as good as investing in the education of our kids!

I don't think it took my mum up to two months to teach me how to write the English alphabets when I was a kid.
