APC will appoint Alhaji Yahaya Bello (Ebira) as the new APC candidate as a replacement for Audu (Igala).

Alhaji Bello and others contested with Audu at the last APC primaries and he got an overwhelming support as the most preferred candidate after Audu.

Alhaji Bello has the option of selecting another deputy but Tinubu won't accept that, so Faleke (Okun) remains the Deputy.

It's going to be war! Its no longer a battle between PDP & APC; but a War between the alleged Majority (Igala) Versus a Combo of EBIRA & OKUN (Yoruba). A battle the people of Okun & Ebira have been waiting for since the past 16 years.

Trust the Igalas, they will automatically support Theirs (Wada), even if he decamps to KOWA or AD.

I'm loving this. If this scenario plays out, then tough days ahead!

If the APC fields any other tribe apart from the Igala then i am afraid Wada may emerge victorious. A combo of Ebira and Okun would be good but may not offset the balance.

The only chance is for his deputy to step in and APC can explore existing gaps to scuttle the remaining election as more votes would be recorded above d accredited voters.

PDP supporters hoping for a new election should perish the thought before they suffer the agony of another defeat as this election was shaping up to be.

APC will reshuffle their ticket and the contesting parties will continue with the elections to be held in the specific areas deemed not to have held valid elections.

Op, kogi is my state. I work for Wadas in their private establishment but as an organisatn they have done well and as a Gov he has failed woefully. For APC to win d electn,an igala candidate is required. I am from AY in Dekina LGA. If APC replaces Audu with an Ebira man, they may not get up to 1000 from d re-run. I am not in support of ethnic sentiment but dtz the reality in kogi politics. Audu was in a wrong party (ANPP) but won in 1999 all cos Pdp produced a non-igala candidate. We (igala) have been rulling d state since creation but nothing to show in d region (apart from KSU) dt the state has been rulled by us. What a shame! What I pray for is a good leader from any tribe. Neither Wada nor Late Audu was my candidate. Can't choose betwn d two devils. God bless kogi state.

technically the remaining part of the election was for before Audu death. Audu died after the election. the election was not cancelled, a minute part of it was found to be flawed, and a partial rerun is on the way, the rerun is blind to audu's death.
