agaugust: agaugau show where UN has made the same contract with proforce. Such news would have been painted on the media by now. UN seldom make such contracts because they prefer rather to rent equipment. Normally they would request any military to deploy its equipment which they will pay for every month it is the mission. Proforce vehicle were going to be used by Nigerian police that's all. Two Rooivalks are painted in UN colours in Congo and UN never purchased them. Give us a source which recorded the deal between proforce and UN because showing vehicles painted in UN colours is not a proof. |

agaugust: 1. Rooikat has better optics 2. Rooikat has a stabilized gun Rooikat sees first, Rooikat shoots first, Rooikat hits first Also: Max range on the ERC 90's gun: 900m http://www.army-guide.com/eng/product3587.html Max range on the Rooikats gun: 2000m Rooikat sees first, shoots first, hits first and all beyond the range of the ERC90 http://www.military-today.com/artillery/rooikat.htm Thats why we chose a smaller 71mm gun (high-pressure) over the low-pressure 90mm... we have experience in armored warfare (unlike you) so we know what we are looking for 1 Like

mzilakazi: The same drills that SANDF uses and armed men criss cross your border daily under the noses of battalions of SANDF troops trained at your 'prestigious' military academy and posted to protect your borders, yet fail woefully everyday as arms smugglers, assassins, poachers, ets play hide and seek in your fatherland bush land, dribbling Mandela's soldiers like Tom & Jerry cartoon.....yet you claim Col. Eben Barlow is your South African war expert.....has he saved you? Has your academy of prestige training saved you at homeland ? Incompetent inexperienced SANDF buffooooonns . |

agaugust: 1. No, not the same - Mbombe is protected against IED's (10kg under wheel, 50kg at 5m) and RPG's https://www.shephardmedia.com/news/7211/ 2. STANAG rating of level 4 means protection against 14.5×114mm AP / B32 at 200 meters. Meaning it is defended against all but the heavyest of weapons Now: citations for igirururgurugrur ratings please. Conclusion: Not the same as the sheet metal welded on your Ford F50 hull |

Patchesagain: Weapon smugglers, robbers, assassins, rhino thieves, armed bandits from Zimbabwe, Mozambique, etc are WRECKING the SANDF battalions deployed, crossing FREELY into your own fatherland's borders on a daily basis....your army cannot even secure your homeland borders, so how will they fight 20,000 Boko Haram if the Bokos already live inside your own cities spread across the nation with anti-aircraft guns and RPGs ? |

Agaugau should learn how UN is renting equipment in its missions other than buying it. http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=34824:sa-soldiers-and-equipment-in-drc-set-to-earn-r100-million-for-national-treasury&catid=111:sa-defence&Itemid=242 South African military vehicles deployed to the DRC and used by the FIB generate an income of around R35 000 a month with Rooivalk combat support helicopters reportedly earning in excess of R100 000 a month. The UN has specified hire tariffs for equipment ranging from tents through to the high-tech Rooivalk. 1 Like |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 6:58pm On Nov 23, 2015 |
Patchesagain: You deliberately omitted field exercises that involves artillery, and field obstacle crossing. Did you hear the word sports mentioned anywhere in the video or by the army commandant ? You do sports with full combat kit and weapons like artillery? Title is "Inter-Brigade Combat Proficiency Competition" designed for new war trends of modified training. The competition is our own usual added flavour to training exercises. Your SANDF is not creative enough to add that. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by mzilakazi(m): 6:59pm On Nov 23, 2015 |
agaugust: Mbombe has variety of turrets unlike Igirigi Mbombe is IED and Rocket resistant and Igirigi will perish if confronted by any of those. |

agaugust: Its a inter brigade competition There is no mention of brigade maneuvers and no footage of it either, or any vehicals or aircraft or artillery All we see is small groups of men from each brigade comepeting against each other Its a military sports day - THEY EVEN HAVE A FVCKING PRIZE GIVING You obviously have not watched the video Fact is simple, Nigerian army is incapable of conducting execises of the scope and scale that the SANDF pulls off 1 Like |
