- Dual 23mm means double the fire power. 43mm worth of rushing kinetic energy, not even the Hulk can withstand that.

ZSU-23 also fires Armour Piercing shells and we have them aplenty in our ordnance stores.

even if you lie on nairaland.. history does not lie.

The Cubans, together with Angolan and SWAPO forces advanced
toward Namibia. This advance exposed the insecurity and
vulnerability of the South African troops in northern Namibia. Such
was this vulnerability that a senior South African officer said, “Had
the Cubans attacked [Namibia] they would have over-run the
place. We could not have stopped them.” This was further
compounded by South African debacles at the end of June 1988 at
Calueque and Tchipia, where the South Africans suffered serious
defeats, which were described by a South African newspaper as “a
crushing humiliation.” Cuba also achieved air supremacy. Facing
the new powerful force assembled in southern Angola and having
lost control of the skies, the South Africans withdrew from Angola.

In southern Africa, the battle has attained legendary
status. It is considered the debacle of apartheid: a defeat of the
South African armed forces that altered the balance of power in
the region and heralded the demise of racist rule in South Africa.
Cuito Cuanavale decisively thwarted Pretoria’s objective of
establishing regional hegemony (a strategy which was vital to
defending and preserving apartheid), directly led to the
independence of Namibia and accelerated the dismantling of
apartheid.

the attack had failed thanks to a valiant
defense effort by Cuban and Angolan troops, and the South Africans
had lost 50 aircraft, 47 tanks and hundreds of men.

That war was not on your homeland territory, let's see one day how SANDF will cope with 20,000 Boko Haram brutal killers (20,000 is already about half your army o!) spread all over 100 cities and towns living among innocent civilians in your country including 10 secret terror camps in Kruger park bush land, then we will see how you easily fight a cancer that is inside your own stomach !

SANDF has not been battle tested by Nigerian standards.

Keep driving around town in MRAP vehicles taking photos of your half dead HIV sick army with 30 battalions of your troops already weakened by HIV virus before any war even starts

1.Never going to happen, Boko Harm would've been destroyed before they even knew they existed, if the same happened in SA. And BTW Boko Harm is a ragtag rebel group, South Africa on the other hand has fought modern and properly equipped militaries with proper air forces.

2. I agree 100%, we havent been battle tested at the same low standards as Nigeria.

3.Not worth responding to.

Igirigi is not firing 23 mm x 2 cannot at underneath the chassis of Mbombe you dunce ! Igirigi is shooting the body/hull and killing all occupants.

The comparison is "in general" - and in general the mbombe is better armored in every single way meaning it is the better vehical

The fact that you refuse to post any technicle deatils for the igirururur shows us that you know it is inferior and are only interested in argument for the sake of argument

What is the name of that sport then....soccer, tennis...basketball ?

LOL....Cape Colony half-wit, Combat Proficiency Competition is NOT a sports proficiency competition.

The title and major general's speech tells it all.

That video shocked you.

LOL.....let me torment Southies again.....in 2009 Nigerian army, navy, and air force had a major brigade level exercise called OPERATION OLOGUN META.....local language meaning three armed forces.

"A Brigade of the Nigerian Army, three mother naval cat class-warships – NNS KYANWA, NNS OBULA and NNS NWAMBA - and six squadrons of Nigerian Air Force aircraft are participating in in the exercise. Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Paul Dike, explained that the conduct of the joint exercise was borne out of “the desire to exercise our troops in a tri-service setting.

The exercise involved beach landing operations, riverine operations and insertion of troops, advance quick attack, deliberate attack phase and internal security operations.

Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Paul Dike, explained that the conduct of the joint exercise was borne out of “the desire to exercise our troops in a tri-service setting in year 2009.

The exercise, he said, “will essentially serve as a platform for us to test our intelligence gathering abilities, check the interoperability of our communication facilities as well as testing our Command and Control capability. At the end of the whole exercise, the lessons learnt will be used in improving our operational procedures in current and future operations,” he said.

The Nigerian military last held an exercise of this magnitude in May 2004, when it organised Operation TAKUTE EKPE in Lagos.

The exercise climaxed display of months of operations, weeks of reconnaissance and days of rehearsals. The officers and men involved in JOPEX 09 were involved in beach landing operations, harbour defence, riverine operations and insertion of troops, advance quick attack, deliberate attack phase and Internal Security Operations (ISOs).

The beach landing part of the exercise had commenced last Monday just as the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Paul Dike was finishing his welcome address. It involved the simulation of naval and combat aircraft bombardments boomed all around the surrounding beachfront, signalling the start of assault on enemy positions."

I just gave you two other, even bigger NAF + NN + NA joint service military exercise at brigade level in modern times.

1. Operation TAKUTE EKPE....year 2004

2. Operation OLOGUN META.....year 2009

Shame on ALL Southie liars, Nigerian military conducts regular brigade level and above joint army, navy, air force exercises shocked shocked
.

1, Military sports day - competition based on military skills

2. One brigade sized exercise in 20 years?

SANDF has a minimum of 2 per year - and tou could only manage one in twenty?

Pathetic

Rooikat gun cannot shoot straight....it's a naval gun put on a army vehicle, reason why it missed target during the sea exercise in South Africa, Mr.Day was targeted and 76mm gun missed, Mr.Day is enjoying with is wife as we speak !

1. Rooikat gun proven by military source to be accurate up to 2km and STILL OUTRANGES THE SAIGIE
2. Who said Mr Day was targetted with 76mm?
3. Germans admitted they fired upon him
