The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Tuesday, called on Nigerians to desist from panic buying of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as fuel, stating that it has about 23 days of product supply in all its depots across the country.

Reacting to the resurgence of fuel queues in some cities across the country, the NNPC, in a statement by Mr. Ohi Alegbe, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, stated that its depots have about 927.461 million litres of PMS which is enough to serve the country for the next 23 days if no drop of the product is imported within the period.

The NNPC blamed the resurgence of queues at petrol filling stations on rumour of an impending scarcity, assuring that it has enough products to meet the demand of the country.

It also warned oil marketers not to engage in sharp practices, stating that anyone found wanting would be dealt with decisively.....

Fuel is not scarce yet, majority of the citizens who barely keep their jobs are buying in a ridiculous amount, some can't get fuel even now. Are the citizens of Nigeria that foolish? Zombies in slave camp.

Sorry to say Nigeria don't have direction. Even with my readiness to buy #400 per litre, I have to stay hours in long queue to still buy fuel. Since last 2weeks you guys have been saying you have fuel that will last months but release the fuel to us is a problem. You keep disturbing private stations for hurding and not selling fuel but government owned NNPC are all close down and no fuel.

In reality we don't have fuel but on papers there is fuel everywhere. APC can never stop lies even when the coast is so clear of the truth.

The only interesting thing here is we are not suffering it alone, even the "Sai Buhari" group are also crying and suffering all these economic and fuel issue. lol

Reminds me of the days of the military. Especially Christmas periods. Fuel used to be as scarce as a dollar. The best we had was during GEJ. There was steady supply of the product even during Xmas. Now we have gone back to those horrible days.. All those shouting change, may your lives be run as the country is now!!!
