Where is the Proforce Viper?

The vehicle ranges from the company are enough in my opinion. They cater well for a broad spectrum of buyers. I think a 6x6 IFV should be the next project.

6x6 , Slat Armour, Surveillance system (thermal, Infrared camera) and a 30mm remote weapon station.

Many will also have removable cage armour for COIN role.

The Toyota Hilux is a beauty, give her 14.5 mm Chinese version or 40 mm auto grenade launcher, and perhaps a few with 6 barrel rapid fire gatling gun/MiniGun for SF men to suppress the enemy when heavily out-numbered by the enemy, fighting for survival, boxed into a corner. The MiniGun is fully retractable into the Toyota and nobody outside knows it is a military special forces combat vehicle painted in civilian colours with tainted glass as it patrols the street scouting for it's objective.

Proforce should accept the Nigeran army's Igirigi blueprint and help them improve on it's hull and metallurgical engineering. Develop it into Light Amoured Tactical Vehicle able to carry variety of weapons in many versions : 20 mm auto dual feed cannon HE shell and AP shell, Gatling gun, 14.5 mm gun, 40 mm grenade, 81mm mortar, M3 Carl Gustav roof hatch manually manned one man rocket launcher, field hospital, telescopic mast battlefield surveillance day/night cameras with 20 km range.

Proforce armoured have received international testing and certifications, they surpass North American standards in their vehicle category.

Proforce should develop the Leopard as SF mobility/utility/patrol/secret ops vehicle

Profroce should develop Viper into a cheap, amphibious, medium size IFV, that poor African countries can afford to buy in large numbers for COIN.

Proforce HCMPAV should be mass troop transport replacing lorries and Pinzgauer, but must be armed with one forward 30 mm cannon remote station or manual roof hatch and 40 mm grenade launcher on the rear turret, 22 troops with 22 side and rear firing ports will be difficult to ambush, plus the mine clearing dozer blades, ISIS will fear this one and NATO will buy it.

oh I love this one the most ugly and sad looking. Ready to take in any terrain. Rumours have it that a senior staff at PF got sacked for saying this particular vehicle looks cute, it was decided that he doesn't fully appreciate what they were trying to achieve. Since then PF staffs have been banned from watching Nickelodeon cartoons.

- I never really thought i'll say this, but the Toyota Hilux is beautiful. The design is so simple, yet looks so efficient. It fits the role of a special mission vehicle.

- I'm not a fan of the mini-gun. It's just 5 minutes of pure excitement and that's it.

what i would instead add is a passenger seat GPMG port. The front passenger part of the wind-screen would be collapsible. 1 50 CAL or 12.5mm and a secondary GPMG.

- Or we could dump the Igirigi and continue with Proforce range of vehicles since they are commercially viable. O think we run the risk of having too many different types of LAVs for a particular company.

- the Leopard is an amazing vehicle, but i don't think Proforce is marketing it well. Instead of an Infantry Combat Vehicle they classify it as, it should instead be marketed as a Special Mission Vehicle. This I agree with.

It is a Special Mission Vehicle, I did make a post of what I think the modifications on the vehicle should instead be.

The same modifications as the Sherpa Special Forces Vehicle, and I'm certain there would be a lot more patronage for it. The PF2 MK II is clearly out-selling the Leopard.

- I think the Viper LAV should remain as it is, but marketed as a cheap option to European, Canadian and South-African equivalents.

It looks like a great competition for the Streit Cobra and Streit Spartan.

-Proforce HCMPAV, if you go back to that PDF file, Proforce is also thinking along that line for the HCMPAV. A decent, large troop carrier armed with a manual roof hatch, 2 of them in number, each carrying a 12.7mm.

*22 troops

* 2 standing gunners

* Commander

* Driver

26 men in total.

I pray you will never be in a situation where you will need a minigun to stay alive sir grin grin

Battle of Mogadishu, one US Army Helo with minigun took out a whole platoon of Somali rebels on a roof top. When the enemy is too many, minigun gives you firepower to kill within a very short time before the enemy reacts. The Aidid rebels had many heavy machine guns and RPG on that roof top to take down the US Helicopter but the minigun rapid fire deleted all of them in 30 seconds and they had no time to aim thier AAA guns and RPG at the attacking helicopter.

Failure of mortar to stop massive waves of vietnamese soldiers in that war, is part of the reason MiniGun was modernized and brought to vietnam. It's effectiveness made Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, India to copy it and build at home, or buy from USA.

A whole one third of world armies use MiniGuns, so Nigeria should not be left behind.

Kenya and Bangladesh will be the first recipients of armoured vehicles produced by a new factory in Serbia. It is believed that the two countries will receive the locally developed Lazar BVT mine-resistant, ambush protected vehicle. Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with Russian Deputy Premier Dmitry Rogozin last week to discuss military cooperation, which may see the two countries build 57 and 155 mm ammunition. Russian manufacturers provide components for armoured vehicles Serbia plans to produce for its own military as well as for Kenya and Bangladesh. “We both have the will and the money to invest in Serbia,” said Rogozin......................................................................
.............................t is presumed that the armoured vehicles that will be delivered to Kenya are the Yugoimport Lazar BVTs, developed by the Serbian Military Technology Institute to meet local and export requirements. The first prototype was completed in 2008. The vehicle has a crew of three (commander, driver and gunner) and can carry ten fully equipped troops. These have firing ports and sit in seats attached to the roof, which reduces the risk of injury in case the vehicle hits a mine.
This was 2012 - where/why are they hiding this, are they waiting for some war or tragedy to happen for us to see them in action or something?

Come on man........... Saudis always have Gucci gear. However what's the essence of a Gucci gear if you're going to use a Sniper rifle for close protection duties.

Breaking news
They were shot down by F16 fighter jet.
Luckily, the two pilots of the fighter jet were able to eject before the plane plunged to a great inferno. I just hope ISIS or Free Syrian Army do not get to them before they escape.
More reason why every pilots should carry a portable gun on every mission.
The jet is SU-24.

Yeah it's an SU-24. The Turks though........ They are never smiling.

Most fighter pilots carry a 9mm pistol, I've seen others carrying a Carbine.

The Russians have dispatched MI-24s to go retrieve them.
