PDP should shut up.
Inec is the umpire and has decided what should take place.

Metuh is losing it do badly. Metuh should tell Nigerians what the constitution says about a candidate that die during election process? Metuh is doing more harm than good to the pdp. THE DECISION WE TAKE TODAY WILL LIBERATE OR IMPRISON US TOMORROW.

INEC should conduct fresh election with a new candidate. Simple

So, what happens to the results of the election that was conducted last Saturday?

Truly, it is absurd!
Many voted for the candidate not the party. Now that the candidate voted for is gone, a fresh election or the next candidate with the higher score should be ushered in!
AUDU should not be usurped!
But when Amaechi who didn't contest was sworn in, it wasn't absurd and those sinking he goat of a party never called for resignation of anybody then... Bunch of jokers

If you have a brain and you are not baised, you would understand what Metuh is saying, you can't at this substitute another person half way into the election, either it is done before the election. You can't have two governorship candidates for one elections, are you now saying PDP can change its governorship candidates?

What INEC ought to do is to cancel and call for a fresh elections or give it to pdp, this are the lapses in our constitution we ought to look at, not insulting ourselves every now and then
How about Amaechi who didn't contest but was sworn in as a governor in 2007 under this same party calling for the resignation of AGF and Inec chairman

Cancel or give it to PDP Are you for real So we should just ignore the fact that a Deputy Governor was voted for as well. The least that could happen would be for the Deputy Governorship candidate to step up and conclude the election, while the party replace the Deputy slot.
That sure makes sense

You are as daft as they come! The ballot in any election in Nigeria never reflects the name of a candidate! It reflects the name of the party only! And to even stretch your warped and daft analogy, did you conduct any scientific analysis on all the over 290,000 people who voted Audu that they voted for Audu and not APC? Did your obviously challenged soul also feel that the over 190,000 voters who voted Wada did so because of Wada and not because of PDP?

Come on, get a life and get a brain, dude!

Some of you (PDP failures) are so engrossed with hatred for anything APC that you talk and write from your anus!!!

Confirmed clown! Anofia!

A court war is brewing. PDP should ready their lawyers. Unless the judiciary is expectedly influenced by the federal government, this case won't go away so easily for the APC. It can't be this cheap!

PDP should go and sit down. They've lost the election already, so, what are they saying? They disagree with the legal opinion of the AGF and the decision of INEC but failed to offer their opinion on what should happened considering the legal quagmire that followed Audu's death.

Anybody or party that is not satisfied with INEC's decision should simply go to court. No need for any long story.

no no no no....firstly,is pdp candidate no more?,secondly why will there be new election when it wasn't all local government that had issues, remember it was even before the announcement of audu's death te election has been declared inconclusive due to the ratio of vote difference to the votes annulled....

the whole thing was just an exercise in futility.

It's highly doubtful a winner was meant to emerge from it.

u re d one who is more biased,if it's given to PDP cos d Apc candidate who is leading died wen d election is ongoing, den it means candidate will start luking for all means to kill dere opponent who is leading dem during d election so dat dey can automatically b declared d winner n on d ballot papers, wat u will see dere re party names and not d candidate name,Apc is still alive,it's d candidate dat died so d election shud b continued n concluded

1. As for the person who said the people voted for Audu not the party... Was Audu's name printed on the ballot paper? My friend its always the party name that is on the ballot paper.
2. Metuh claims that INEC was influenced.
For his info, this has never happened before, so there was no provision in INEC's electoral act that spells out what should be done in case a candidate dies before the conclusion of an election.
3. Should we now conclude that Audu was assassinated by PDP? Or why is Metuh agitating?
4. Kogi state is a volatile state, so the matter has to be handled wisely, APC was already winning, the intervention is fair enough to allow peace reign.
5. What should INEC have done? Cancel the election and start afresh? That state would boil for violence, even FG will not be able to handle it.

If this rape on democracy going on in Kogi and orchestrated by INEC and the Attorney General of the Federation is allowed to stand, and the citizens accept it, then we have really entered a dark era.
If you don't speak out now, don't complain when it reaches your doorstep.
What section of the Constitution did INEC and the AGF rely on to arrive at the conclusion that APC can present a fresh candidate for the re-run elections and credit that candidate with Audu 's votes?
If una like, make una keep silent. Me I don talk my own. My conscience don free.
Sure you know nothing about politics in Nigeria, you just wake up to drop dusts, when someone else won election in rivers state under PDP but Amaechi was sworn in as the governor in 2007 were you deaf when the court said PDP won the election and not the candidate If you new to politics just sit down somewhere and observe and not just post poo on here cuz you have some free data

Remii:

he should be reminded of PDP/INEC and Amechi scenario in Rivers State. Supreme court gave votes to the party not candidate.

Amaechi was firstly the right candidate who won the Primary , he won in the court because he won the primary but OBJ sub-bed him, so was seen as the one the ppl were voting for not Omeha. Amaechi was "UNLAWFULLY " substituted, the word is unlawfully, so APC cannot unlawfully substitute Audu. INEC should conduct another election period.

Even though the constitution and electoral act were silent on what to do as regards Kogi ekections, INEC had two options:

1. Continue with the supplementary elections and should APC win, the certificate of return be given to Faleke who would then appoint his deputy after being declared governor-elect

2. Cancel the Kogi election and direct APC to conduct fresh primaries. Fresh elections will thus be conducted after APC submits it's candidates to INEC.

These options are clearly stated in the electoral act and the constitution even though the circumstances that should necessitate the two actions differ slightly from what happened in this case. The two options stated are the only options that would not flout any section of the electoral act. The two options are the only sensible and unbiased thing to do.

However this decision by INEC to direct APC to conduct fresh primaries but at the same time go ahead with the supplementary elections is in contravention with several sections of the electoral acts. The Supreme Court will definitely annul this election.

Olisa Metu Mr broken record (aka Chief wailing wailer) has lost memory of how amaechi became governor in 2007, he equally lack knowledge how Haruna Boni was substituted for Atiku Abubakar after the electoral body had declared Omehia and Atiku respectively the governors elect. This is not how to play opposition.

People that are calling for cancellation of election.. on what basis should that come up? Which section of our law will back that? And through the interpretation of law, party logo is always on the ballot paper not candidate. And in this case the running mate can be substituted for the deceased and we move on to the next level.. Just my cents.
