Wrong. It depends on how developed a country is, at that point in time, which is not necessarily a reflection of its govt. A large population can make it more difficult to cater to all. There are hundreds of millions of illiterates and malnourished slum dwellers in India, despite that country being one of the fastest developing in the world. Hence you can list hundreds of small countries that are "better than" India, to use the op's naive, unschooled terminology. Fact is when comparing developing countries you MUST distinguish between the small nations and the large ones, or you're being thoughtless and ignorant. The smaller nations will generally have less problems than those with hundreds of millions of people.

Nigeria is too big to be a country. Its better to divide it into two or three peacefully. That's my opinion.

Nigeria is only slightly bigger than Texas in the U.S and Texas isn't the biggest state in US, Alaska is. So saying Nigeria should divide because it's too big makes little sense.

Texas:
Area: 696,200 km2 and larger than France or even Germany
Rank: 40th largest if it was a country
